Good morning! IT's 31° and clear. I opened the balcony shade, and the moon hit my eye like a big pizza pie! Wow! There's another listeria recall...chicken burrito bowls by Reser brand. Sold in many stores including Trader Joes and served in schools. I had a good time at lunch with a friend. She lives in an over 55 condo complex about a mile from here. She has promised to show me around Londonderry. She had the delicious turkey melt and I had the shrimp lettuce wrap. I only ate one and Bill ate the other when I got home. Had a brain hiccup when I got home...misplaced my glasses...! Looked all over and gave my soft glass case a feel. Finally went down to the car and got my second pair. Of course, when I got back, Bill pointed out my glass case with the glasses peeking out of it! Last night's dinner was outstanding! They only flaw was Bill couldn't get dessert...they ran out of ice cream!! I finished with a cappuccino, and he had a cup of Earl Grey tea. I go for my first ever pedicure this morning! Before that we will go to the gym. Lastly, this morning we will go get help with Bill's iPhone at the 11am IT help! I really need to go through my summer things and bring my late fall and winter things up from storage! I have rice left from the Chicken Tarragon. Think I will order the Apricot chicken and veggies (and salad) from the restaurant for our dinner tonight. Have a great day! Waving!

Good morning Ann and all who follow. The sun is just coming up and we are looking at a good week of weather, cold overnight but sunny and 'warm' during the day. Hard to believe that only a few days ago we were comfortable in shorts and tshirts. This afternoon we are hoping to go and order new kitchen appliances. We just have a couple of major things left to do in the condo and replacing the fridge, stove and dishwasher is one of them. They are all pretty old and altho they are still usable, I would rather replace them before they finally give up the ghost, so to speak. (Where do some of these phrases come from)?. Anyway, the store we have bought from in the past has a good sale on right now plus they will take the old stuff away without charge. Your supper tonight sounds good Ann and I may just follow as I could leave the chicken in the slow cooker while we are out. The last of the pot roast last night was so good, with Yorkshire pudding and carrots. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning.
A cool damp morning so it was a nice walk to the pet area. Mary gave me a ride back home, my back and foot just couldn't do the walk back. It's so nice that Emily and Mandy can play once in awhile. The tire on the golf cart is losing air so I will call Alberts tire, just down the road. I hope he can come and get the tire and fix it. Until then I'll take my car for Mandy. The asphalt is still to hot to walk on in the afternoon.
Today is change the sheets day and I'll wash them right away too. That is all that I plan on doing today. Last night I counted my cards, and I have 115 cards made. My head is full of more ideas, but I think I better just let them sit for now. And let my foot and back rest today too.
Pizza for lunch today, but it will be a store bought one this time. Easy peasy today.

Good morning. It is cool here with a chance of frost again tonight. I think we did get some last night because the grass looked kind of light this morning.
My neuro surgeon was confused yesterday. Without the new test on my nerves he did not have 100% information. I don't get that test until the middle of November. From what he said, the changes I am having are not coming from the surgical area but from something going on with my spinal cord. He said it might have been a stroke but there was no way to tell. Anyway, he does not think the symptoms will get worse. Praying that that is true. He has ordered physical therapy to keep my joints loose and will see me in 3 months after I have had the nerve test. So part of the news is good in that I am not looking forward to another surgery. But I want to know what's going on!
I am glad Zoey is going to a home where she will be comfortable.
Chris, I'm surprised you didn't get much snow. But I guess it is still pretty early. I can wait!
I have to wait until Monday to go for my glasses. My neighbor called. Her daughters phone completely died and they have spent the entire morning at Verizon to find that out. She runs her business through it so it is a big deal. She is now in the process of trading in and getting a new one, poor thing. Verizon is not the quietest place to be waiting around!
Well, that's it for today. Not much else going on. Have a good day.

I was up extra early this morning. It was still dark which is never the case for me. So went back to bed (but not back to sleep) with a cup of coffee and my Solitaire. Very cozy indeed. Well Birdy it's always something isn't it? I admire your patience with both the surgeon and the new glasses visit. But I do realize that fretting about it doesn't help. I was hoping for ham and bean soup for supper but only one can of Great Northern Beans was in the cupboard. Bummer, that never happens. A grocery order is obviously in my very near future. I found a good restaurant offer for ribs and all the fixin's in my email so that will do nicely for supper instead. Sweet dreams

Good morning. I am sitting here at the cardiologist office with Judy. It is so cold in here.
Lana texted me last night and she is coming this afternoon to get Zoey. It's going to be hard.
Ann- your supper sounds good. I am making rice with our stir fry tonight.
Birdy- sorry you weren't able to get more information. I was thinking this was for your jaw.
Mamma- we are sure enjoying the mornings, but being in the 90s isn't so bad either, lol.
I have cards this afternoon and evening.

Good afternoon, friends! Started my day with 60 minutes of OT. My lower legs that have the Lymphedema are looking so much better. Today I was actually measured for custom support stockings. Depending on how long it takes for them to be made, I will need to keep my legs wrapped in bandages up to the knees. Next week, we begin working on the upper legs that have Lipidemia and see if we can get some of the swelling down. After the OT, I had an hour break, but them it was another 60 minutes with the PT. What a workout my poor legs had again today! Not always easy, but happy to see the progress I am starting to make!
Another day of lovey weather here, so I am celebrating once again by having all the windows open! Currently 78*. Dropping into the lower 60s by sunrise on Friday, summer returns in the afternoon when we climb into the mid-80's.
Had a bowl of butternut squash soup for my lunch---smooth and creamy, a real treat. Dinner will be more soup, this time turkey and rice DH and I made yesterday. DH wants some biscuits to enjoy with it, so that is doable. Very tired, need to close my eyes for a bit. Waving to all. Lori

That's a lot of therapy in one day Lori but if you are seeing some good results, it is all worthwhile. Really happy for you seeing those results.

Lori, that is good news. It helps to see results!
Ann, running out of ice cream -- oh no! That should never happen! 🍨😁
Have fun shopping, Tasty. I love new appliances.
Lovely picture, Bet. We were seeing quite a few deer at our house last month. Our neighbor has a video camera to watch them.
Mamma, that's a lot of cards! You have been busy.
Birdy, I wish you could have had the nerve test already but at least the news you got was more encouraging than expected. Hopefully the PT will help.
Helen, coffee and solitaire in bed sounds like the perfect solution to a too-early morning.
Elaine, I know you will miss Zoey.
We signed the lease today so will move to the house on the 27th -- just one more week in the hotel! We are ready to be somewhere more normal.

Elaine, the podiatrist is in the foothills. The only time I go into town is if I have to go to the hospital for something or my pain specialist. I avoid going into town. All the windows are closed now. My goodness that wind is awful.
Lori, and positive results no matter how small is good. Prayers continue.
EMR, happy dancing for you. I'm sure you can hardly wait to get into the house. Making cards is about all I do in the summer. It's too hot to go anywhere.
Pizza is in the oven and I am starving. It's going to be a very long 25 minutes.
