Good morning! It's clear and fallish here. I finished setting up my new iPad using my phone...easy! Before I start using it, I'm waiting on a new case for it. I have to get Bill a new iPhone before I set his up. I had half a falafel wrap yesterday at lunch. Had a nice time chatting with my former teaching partner. Dinner for me was a small chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and butternut squash. Bill had coconut shrimp and fries. I also served the rest of the petite peas dish. Not sure what we will have tonight. Hoping all is well with Lori. Have a good day. Waving!

Good morning It is starting off as a nice coolish morning. AT 73º it was a cooler ride to the pet area. We got to visit with some friends this morning too.
Changing sheets is on the agenda and Mandy has spending time on the porch this morning as her thing. I've got the doors and windows open enjoying the fresh air. The high today will be 106º so things will be closed up most of the day. The nights and mornings are starting to cool down quite a bit.
Not sure what lunch will be today but supper will be beef roast, potatoes and carrots made in the crock pot. Mmmm, I can hardly wait. I did manage to eat the fried cod last night and Mandy and I shared some green beans. Rice Krispie bars that I made in the afternoon was my dessert.
Take care and have a good day.

Ann, you have me craving coconut shrimp now.
The bed has clean sheets and I even washed the sheets instead of waiting until tomorrow. The beef roast and potatoes are in the crock pot and in a couple hours I add the carrots. I use baby carrots so they don't need to go in as early as the regular ones. I don't care for the regular carrots they just aren't sweet enough. Last time I used the regular ones I gave them to Mandy. She looked at me like what are these? hehehe She ate them but it was obvious she didn't care for them either. We are spoiled.
Lunch is done and now to do the dishes. I've got a couple ides for cards so I may work on that or I may just watch a couple Gina K Design videos on YouTube. I learn so much from her. And she is so fun to watch too.
The house is all closed up now. It's 94º on the porch. The temp is slowly rising. No need for the furnace here, just the a/c. It sounds silly but I have the little fireplace on. Not the heat part, it's just for the ambience. Since Lynda gave it to me I have it on from morning until bedtime. It helps to watch Christmas shows too. LOL

Hi. We went to a meeting on health care this morning. It was a long meeting and they want to continue on the 15th. It's not going to happen. We thought they would give us something to eat, lol, the kaugh was on us. I turn 65 in November so I need to figure out if I want to go with an advantage or the supplement.
I play cards this afternoon and evening so it's lots of sitting today. So my feet and ankles will be swollen tonight.

Getting some things done today while we're off -- I ran a couple errands this morning and then have been working on getting pictures & info onto the State Farm app. I'm ready to take a break and read while DH is napping. He got both cars washed today and talked to State Farm and the ServPro rep. They will be at the house tomorrow to hopefully get something on the roof.
Otherwise, not much going on and I am okay with that.
Chris, can't believe you're seeing snow already!
Ann, DH had to get a new iPad and he bought a cover at Target today. They asked if he wanted a warranty on it! Never heard of that!
That's a beautiful moon, Bet.
Mamma, good eats at your house today! I love Rice Krispie treats. Honestly, I don't know anyone who doesn't. 😊
Elaine, I am sure Chris and Bet can help you with Medicare supplement information as I know they both have dealt with that.

Hi, friends! Just popping in to let you know we are fine. Yesterday was a rough day as Milton approached, but he finally came on land about 8pm over Siesta Key, one of our barrier islands next to Sarasota (7 miles away). Rained throughout the day yesterday giving us I think about 8 inches, but we never saw the flooding in our neighborhood. I would have to call Milton a windstorm--had gusts at 102mph that took out our olive tree in the backyard, snapped a holly tree in two in the neighbor's yard which fell on our fence on the east side of the backyard and bent that up. When DH took pictures and reported info. to insurance company, he began to cut up both trees that are now sitting on the curb in front of the house. What a mess! Blessed indeed---it could have been so much worse for us. Never lost power but just got the internet back up and running.
Waving to all and wishing each of you a peaceful and relaxing evening. Probably will not be stopping by tomorrow as I have several doctor appointments and will be busy all day. Having a Trader Joe's meal tonight---Chinese chicken and veggie rice. Lori

Lori, great to see you posting. Glad the storms wasn't at bad as expected and your folks are OK.
To everyone else I have read but just to tired to replay. It is 7 PM and I haven't even started dinner yet. Another 8 hour day of work but at least it was close to home.
Enjoy your evening. Live should be a little more sane next week. Have just one more store with the big project that is taking about 7 hours.
Enjoy your evening.

Lori, so glad you posted. I have been wondering, and praying all day. You fared well!
Not much of anything going on around here. I have been lay about cooking. We had pancakes last night-DH's request. Tonight I picked up a pizza. No need to worry about supper tomorrow. It is Bible study night and we will be taking corn chips, salsa and queso that we picked up at the Mexican restaurant in Dallas.
It was a pretty busy day at the shop. Lots of donations to sort through, so I will be busy tomorrow.
Waving to all. Sweet dreams.
