Good early dark friends. I woke at about 2 with what feels like a head cold. Could not go back to sleep so here I sit. I hope this goes away fast. First cold in over a year. I will take a covid test tomorrow. But I don't think it is covid.
I was going to get my Flu shot but now I will have to wait. I will make sure Dan gets both of his shots tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning Chris and all who follow. Hope it is 'just' a cold Chris and it disappears fast - don't share with Dan. I woke this morning about 4.30 - that seems to be becoming a regular and as far as I'm concerned that's way too early - about 6 would be nice. However, I've got a couple of thousand steps in before sitting down with my quiet mug of tea. I'd like to get a few things done before heading out for the auxiliary lunch today. It struck me as strange to do this on a Sunday but that is the only day the second hand store is closed. If lunch is held during the week (which used to be the case), it automatically excludes some people. Have a peaceful Sunday.

Good morning! It's dark and crispy cool this morning. Rain will be moving in during the day. We had an enjoyable lunch with our Lawrence neighbors. Told us that the folks who bought our house are from Ecuador. The husband speaks a little English, but the wife does not speak any. They have two preteen girls. So far he is doing all of the work himself but has to rent all of the tools. Wishing them well, but so glad we've moved. Last night we had soup and rolls from the restaurant. Today we will have pasta sauce with sausage & meatballs and a salad. Will go to the gym later this morning. Otherwise the plan is to continue reading "Homecoming" in hopes of finishing it today so I can walk down to the library to get a new book. Tasty - Enjoy the lunch today. Birdy - Hope all goes well with your tests tomorrow. What kind of phone do you have? Hope you can find a place to get a smoothie or 'frappe'. Chris - Hope you feel better. I just got the 4 free Covid tests in the mail yesterday. Hope your test is negative. I'm glad you did so well at the craft fair. Bet - I've enjoyed seeing the pictures you've posted. Reading about all of the work you have to do makes me tired!!! Elaine - We should start to call you 'doctor' Doolittle for all of your caring for the animals of others!! LOL Mamma - Good for you planning ahead in getting appointments and supplies. Elza - I smiled big time over your getting your jewelry box!! Time for breakfast. Enjoy your day. Waving!

So right after I posted I fell back asleep. Woke up at 8:15 and do not feel like I have anything! Go figure! Wonder what that was all about. I am fine now! Weird!
Bet- love the picture.
Tasty- I am okay with 6am! LOL Doesn't happen much anymore though! Enjoy your celebration today.
Ann- Sounds like you are in the right place for you. We just got our free tests too. And Dan's job gave him 4 also.

Good morning. Out and back in record time. I love it when Mandy doesn't just stand and stare into space the whole time. It's already 80º, and heading to 112º. I'm not leaving the house again today except to take Mandy out to do her thing in the early afternoon.
It's a good day to work on some new things with my cards. And maybe get some dusting done. Yesterday after my errands my left foot got so bad I had a painful time getting back to the car. I'll need to keep my cane a lot more handy. Nothing got done at home after that. The arthritis is my left foot is getting worse all the time. And then all night shooting pain in my thumbs and back started. What brought all the arthritis pain yesterday is a puzzle. Never had it all bother me at one time. But so far this morning no pain, so I'm very thankful.
My friend Lynda had some kind of bladder surgery on Wednesday. She is so lucky to have such nice neighbors. They stop and check on her and some have brought her food. Nothing like that in this park. I text her periodically to check on her. I don't want to wake her cuz she needs her rest too. And she texts me often to let me know she is ok.
Yesterday was World Card making day. I only made one card and it started out as just a test one. But I really liked how it turned out. I like cards that are not so over the top. I'm plain and simple and so are my cards.
Keurig coffee this morning just because I love Keurig coffee and I wanted a change. Now I'm done and need to get the bed made and the mess in the kitchen cleaned up. I made Mandy some dog food in the crock pot and all those dishes are in the sink. Ugh, messes.

Chris I really hope that your cold goes away quickly and that is it not COVID either. Rest today if you can. I'm happy that you fell back to sleep. Your body just wasn't ready for the day so it retaliated. Glad you are feeling much better now.
Tasty, 4:30 is way too early to get up even when you have to. I've had mornings like that too, not fun. I do hope you have an enjoyable luncheon today. It's nice that it is planed so that most can participate.
Ann, yesterday when i got to the salon I was told I has an hour late. I wrote down 1 pm as she was talking so I know I was not wrong, at least I don't think I was. But at least they were not upset with me. I had to reschedule for Monday. I try to plan ahead and it throws me off when things get changed. I am a bit OCD.
Bet, lovely picture again. :)
Ok, now I need to get up and moving.......

Hello All. My Friday nite Fish and Chips did not go as planned. I tripped in the parking lot and fell hard so ended up in Urgent Care. Thankfully no broken bones, especially no broken nose. The doctor did an Xray and gave me antibiotics with orders to follow up with my Primary early this week. I was lucky it wasn't worse but my face is a bit worse for wear. I'm taking it easy, of course, so supper will be something Stouffer's. Will take a minute later to read what you all have been up to. Hugs.

Good morning. The Vikings won. I had a big hole in my night. I went to bed at 10:30. At 12:30 dh came to bed and he kept trying to call Zoey to bed. At 1, Zoey decided it was time, lol,so I got up and put her in bed with us. At 2, I woke up again with my hand wet and sticky. I had a bloody nose. It finally quit about 3:30. Then of course I had the alarm set for 5am to walk the dogs before the game started.
Chris- I am glad that the extra sleep helped you.
Tasty- so you keep track of your steps? Everyone keeps telling me I should as I walk all over. I am not paying that kind of money for a fitbit and service.
Ann- I will also be reading later. On my walk this morning I got asked if I was going to be home over Thanksgiving, lol yes at 5:15 am. I said yes and she asked if I would watch Cookie and her 2 cats, I Saif of course. I will be paid for it.
Mamma- I didn't know it was world card day. I was bored, I could of been making cards. I haven't made one in a long time.

Good afternoon. Got a few minutes break in the house so thought I better dope a note. My week from hell started Friday and won't end until this Friday I hope at least I will be done this go around. Yesterday I left the house at 6:30 and wasn't home until almost 7:30. This morning I spent doing up cheat sheets for this big project so am hoping the next 4 this week will go a little faster. I am moving plants to the shop equipment to the shop and trying to get cooking done at the same time. I had sweet potato on cooking in milk so decided I had better stay in and watch that. I am making the first batch of sweet potato rolls for the Lions' dinner. Also have beets almost cooked to freeze. Bought them quite a while ago and noticed today that one was spoiling. I guess I should have checked them better when I bought the.
All of the house plants are in from the porch. Almost every cactus is budded. I hope the change in temperature doesn't cause them the drop their buds. I have 3 without a home. I can't figure out what I can move for plants to get another table in for them.
Time is up need to go take care of the food on the stove.
Have a great day.
Bet

Oh no, Helen! I'm so sorry. ((Hugs)) and prayers that you feel better soon. Very glad nothing is broken. Chris, hope you are continuing to feel better too. Sleep is a great healer.
Ann, it's nice to think that a new family will be making memories in that house just like you & Bill did.
Tasty, the staff lunch sounds like a good idea. I'm glad they could schedule it when everybody can be there, too.
Mamma, I'm with you on keeping cards nice and simple. That's what I look for when I buy them.
Elaine, you can get a pocket pedometer on Amazon that will count your steps. I had one for a while and found that I was walking about a mile a day just at work.
Bet, mmm, those sweet potato rolls sound good.
We had a big lunch at our favorite Mexican place after church, and brought back leftovers for another meal. I think supper tonight will be popcorn. DH is back to work tomorrow, but only for 3 days as their Fall Break is Thursday & Friday. I'm taking off those days too -- we'd planned our sibling reunion at the beach but we may have to reschedule with me & my older sister dealing with storm aftermath. We'll see how things look tomorrow.
