Good morning! It's dark and very cool this morning. Liking having the bedroom window open overnight in spite of hearing the traffic from the highway. I guess living in the city of Lawrence prepared us for sleeping with noise! Yesterday, I took some vegetable pasta sauce out of the freezer, cooked some sausage and meatballs for a pasta dinner sometime in the next few days. I also made some kimchi cucumbers with some of the bottled kimchi sauce I found at Home Goods. Those are garlicky and slightly hot...good. We went to the restaurant for dinner last night. We had the beef tenderloin! Oh, so delicious! We both had a serving of creamy mashed potatoes, corn, shiitake mushrooms, and a side salad. Not sure what we will be doing today. One thing we hope to do is attend a session of the IT tech help. I had no problem in 'freezing' my credit, but we are having a problem doing Bill's. Never worried about it before, but now it is highly recommended because of all of the scams out there. It's free, it's easy to 'unfreeze' when applying for a car loan, for example. The Baldwin has been open for a year. There is going to be a huge celebration tomorrow. Today, is the 'set-up day' so parking is restricted in front of the main building, and the auditorium will be closed to daily activities. Excitement is building. I ordered a small rolling backpack from Amazon to put my weights and stuff. The walk to and from the exercise class will be easier! I also got Bill a new wallet. His is falling apart, but he is so attached to it, he can never find one he likes. I found one similar to the one he has and will surprise him with it today. I can always return it!!! Have a wonderful day. Waving!

Good morning friends. It was chilly when hubby and I went out for breakfast this morning but the sun is shining now and we have another lovely day ahead of us. Probably about 70F this afternoon and by then we shall be on the golf course, taking advantage of the good weather while we can. Last night I still had lots of tomatoes to use but we wanted something different to salad so I opted for what has become a regular supper for us over the summer - omelets, filled with tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese. Quick, easy and definitely inexpensive. Not exciting but good nevertheless. Tonight will probably be something from the freezer - chili, beef stew or coq au vin are what spring to mind as being ready to go! Have a great day.

Good morning. Out and home and a load of towels started in the washer. I've watered the cacti and aloe vera. Flu and COVID vaccination today and change the sheets, then I'll get some inside things done. Nothing exciting happening.
This morning I was checking measurements of different refrigerators and found that a stupid french door is the only type that will fit in the location it has to be. That is unless I want a smaller fridge, which I do not. Even though I am just one person an 18 cubic foot fridge gets really really full. There was a 14 in here when we moved in and that was way too small. So it looks like I am stuck with a fridge and the type that I hate.
Bet, that picture is just breathtaking. Makes me homesick for grass and water.
Time to get up and get something else done before it gets too hot again. Coffee break is short this morning.

Tasty - Love a vegetable frittata/omelet! Mamma - Our French door fridge is smaller than I am used to, too. I use 10/12-inch turntables to keep things organized, and they work well. Just signed up for a trial month of HULU. Saw that the new series, Matlock, is on there. Matlock is a woman! We watch the original with Andy Griffith on MeTV.

Good morning. I'm sitting here at the clinic wait until my neighbor is done. It's weird they make you sit and wait. If something went wrong I would have no idea who to call. I don't even know if she has children.
Ann- they sure make some good meals there.
Mamma- hopefully only a couple more weeks over a 100°. I still need to get my shot.
Zoey slept great with us last night. Infact, she did even want to get up with me. But I picked her up and put her on the floor. We walked around the block and then I fed her before I left.

Luckily for me the hardest challenge today is what to have for supper. And that decision is made. Fried cabbage/onions and fried ham slice made the cut. I've been hungry for both so will enjoy. Such a pretty picture, Bet. Thanks. Elza, sounds like you're having an awful week. The pain from seeing all the damage to your house combined with the aggravation caused by cranky computers would test anyone's good nature. I'm pretty sure all that anxiety would have me with my head in my hands having a good cry. Wishing you some relief and big hugs.

Helen, I got some relief today! First of all, I was able to work at my home branch again. We were happy to be there and our customers were happy to see us. And -- except for a couple of glitches -- the computers worked.
Then I got a text from DH that our piano has already been moved out of our house, to the church classroom. That happened fast! A friend who has experience moving pianos lined up some other men from the church and they got it done much quicker than I expected. That's a big relief for me.
DH heard from the temp housing service and we have a place to stay starting on Saturday, just when we need it. We'll be in a Home2Suites in downtown Anderson so that is another big relief. We were really hoping to have somewhere in Anderson.
And he talked to the insurance adjuster and we should be able to meet with him in the next couple days.
So those are a few more steps forward that we've been wanting to know about, and now I am feeling less stressed.

Good afternoon. It has been a day starting at 4 AM when I got up. Yesterday I had a GPS problem with my last store of the day. Could not connect so after 1/2 hour I just quit and came home. Job is due by Saturday and I start my big jobs tomorrow and have no intention of going in that direction to Monday so made a quick trip about 7:30 this morning fortunately only a little over 20 miles round trip. No luck and that is after I had reloaded very think on my phone when I got home yesterday. Before I left for work I got a big batch of Rotel tomatoes cooked. I have the tomatoes all peeled. Since I got home I have been working in the shop and that is pretty much cleaned and got some benches setup, lights up and most of the sensitive plants in. DSoIL had a almost brand new heater that he installed this week for me in the shop. Unfortunately it isn't operated with a thermostat so no way to control the temperature so today I ordered a new heater. He will take this one out and put the new on in I hope quickly but I never know. I have an electric heater if need be until he decided he is going to move. The body is hurting so am in for the day. It is in the low 70's but the breeze isn't letting you forget it is October.
It is going to be an early to bed tonight as I want to be on the road early tomorrow for a loooong day. I need to get started on dinner. Think I will make Chicken Marsala over egg noodles and fresh broccoli. Body is hurting too much to move anymore plants today. Have to keep moving or I will fall asleep sitting here at the computer.
Enjoy your evening.

Hi ! It has been a nice trip so far. We arrived in Oklahoma City with no problems, visited and went out for chicken fried steak sandwich-only the best in the world, lol. For lunch we stopped in a small town in Texas around 1:00. A sign on the highway said there was a Braum's, so we planned to eat there. It is actually an ice cream store but they have a grill and make really great burgers. We never found the Braums, maybe they closed. We finally found a small place, pretty run down, but we both got chef salads that were delicious. We both ordered a half salad and neither could finish the entire salad it was so big.
Today we visited with friends, then met DH's former co workers for lunch at the Black Bear Diner. I got half a tuna salad sandwich with a bowl of tomato soup. It was wonderful. DH got fish and chips and liked it. We visited with 2 others until about 2 then headed to northern Oklahoma. Got checked in, and I think we are just going downstairs to the bar & grill for supper tonight.
I may not be on tomorrow, it will be a busy day with activities starting at 9. Not sure I will participate in everything. It probably depends on who I run into at the reunion. My 2 best friends did not come this year. Our class was only about 30 girls and 30 guys, so I basically know everyone, I just did not hang out with some of them.
Elza, glad everything is moving along well for you.
Pretty photo Bet!
Waving to all. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend.

This evening DH & I walked the 2 blocks up to Main St and found a place to have dinner -- Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint.Y'all, the "Dr Gonzo" was one of the best burgers I have ever had. It was made with Wagyu beef and had swiss cheese, grilled Guinness onions, grilled mushrooms, and bacon. It was delicious.
We've been texting with the guys and then DS1 called tonight. He's been in Gatlinburg on vacation this week and I am glad he could take time off to rest and relax. Then we talked to DMIL and updated her on how we are doing.
I hope my sister & DBIL in Abbeville will get their power back soon. I know they are beyond ready.
