Good morning! It's clear and very cool out there this morning. I opened the balcony door briefly to have a looksee! After it warms up a bit, I could sit out there to read my really good book!!! Last night's chowder was great...just right for a cloudy, misty day. Not sure what we will have for dinner. Amazon delivered my large counter protector...looks really nice. It's frosted so there will be minimal upkeep. My other "Corning" one showed every streak and fingerprint...I was continually wiping it down. I'll move that one to a less used part of the counter. I'm going to the early exercise class so have to get a move on. Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning. I am up and moving earlier than the last few days so I decided to get on the computer.
Another nice weather day coming up but with a little bit of rain. We have gone almost 10 days without a drop which is really unusual for the central New York in the fall.
Yesterday I had my first experience with velcro that has sticky on both sides so that you can make items to stick together. This one is designed for cloth and you can even do hems with it if you don't put the item in the dryer. I bought it to stick down the items I need for my right hand under the covers at night so they don't get lost if I need them. I am putting them on a pretty potholder as a base so I can just lift it up and out in the morning. My aides love it because it saves them time. It works really well except I think I will have to buy another pair of cheap scissors since this adhesive really, really sticks! Some Goo Gone might work but alcohol doesn't touch it. A new pair of cheap scissors would probably cost less since I don't use them for much. I am waiting for Elon Musk to get in touch to buy the patent.
Lori, I am thinking of you. I hope you see this and are feeling better.
TM, hope you find yourself a fur baby really soon. They never replace the ones you've had before but they make their own place in your life.

So we are back home! We got there and they said they did not have an appointment for Dan. It was on Thursday. So we got to checking and they changed the day and forgot to tell us. So Dan without his meds since last night and drive up and all for naught! I feel so sorry for Dan as he was miserable all night and this morning with no meds. And now we get to do it all over again on Thursday. Not sure who to blame. They never sent us a notice that it was changed.

Good morning. Out and back on a warmer morning heading for a hot day and a hot two weeks. Thank God for a new HVAC unit.
Just a few errands to run this morning. Gas in the car, bank and check out the new $tree. Then see if I can get my brain wrapped around making get well cards and no more Christmas cards. I seem to be stuck in holiday cards right now and can't navigate my mind away from that. Holiday cards are more fun I guess.
Chef salad for lunch and spaghetti or hamburger patty for supper. I'm still in the thinking stage.

Good Morning ! Chris, I am sorry to hear about your wasted trip. Almost the same thing happened to DH regarding his shoulder surgery. They set the date for it but did not tell us until the hospital called for him to come in and do pre-op. At least someone did their job!
Ann, I keep those clear glass counter protectors out also. They came with the house. The counters are pure white formica and get stained so easily, so those really help. I do plan on getting new counters at some point but I know it will cost about $5,000., so it will be awhile before that happens.
I am meeting a friend for lunch today then I will go and do grocery shopping. Supper tonight will be a crock pot recipe for sweet and sour chicken.
Tomorrow I will be making a dish called very good hot dish, made with ground beef and some chinese noodles on top. I'll bake egg rolls to go with it and I'm trying a new recipe for snickerdoodle bars.
It is already 87 here so the ac is still blowing strong.
Have a nice day friends!

Hi. After swim and my shower we left for the grocery store. There was hamburger and pop on sale. I also bought some more bananas as when I went to make the pie, I didn't like the looks of our bananas so in the freezer they went. So after cards I will make the pie.
I am also trying another new recipe chicken cordon blue casserole. I sure hope it's good.
Chris- I am so sorry. It just happened to Dave here in the park. He was suppose to get a valve replacement and had gone off all his medication for a week or 10 days and showed up at hospital and they said it's not until September 25th.
Mamma- did you find a lot at dollar tree? There is no way I would go on opening day, but then I hate shopping.
Birdy- glad you found something that worked.

Chris, so frustrating. My DFIL would say, "that torques my jaw!" Hoping all goes well on Thursday.
Ann, I have a frosted glass cutting board/counter protector beside the stove and I love it.
Birdy, aren't you smart? You are finding a way to get things done and feather your little nest there.
Mamma, how was the new $ store? I hope you found some good stuff.
Tammy, gotta love the name of that casserole! Let us know if it lives up to its name. 😊
Elaine, I've been thinking about Lori today too, especially with a new storm firing up in the Gulf. Looks like it will bring some wind and rain our way later this week and I hope it won't bring any damage Lori's way.
We did finally get to talk to DS2 this afternoon. He had a great time on his trip to Thailand -- said it was very relaxing. He was in Chiang Mai and said it was great to just spend time with friends and disconnect from the rest of the world. The new term starts tomorrow so he is back to work. We will see him at Christmas, though.

Tammy, Not sure if it is the same casserole but I made a chicken cordon bleu for the Lions' dinner last year and they loved. it.
