Good morning! It's mostly clear and 51°. It was great sleeping with the window open. Last night I ordered the herb de Provence shrimp dinners. I set aside the vegetables for another meal. I served the shrimp with butternut German-style salad with bacon and a vinegar/bacon drippings dressing. Added onion, scallions, red peppers, celery, and capers. Also had a Caprese salad. All good! Bill has a doctor's appointment this morning. I will go to an exercise class at 10:15. Not sure what else I will do! Will probably go down to the restaurant for dinner. Have a wonderful day. Back later to chat! Waving!

Good morning. It's so dark when I get up these mornings, about 5.45. No need to get up that early most days, but I usually do. Just a few short weeks ago it was bright and sunny but not any more. Hubby has one last golf tournament today - he's thinking he may have to play in this one - so I'm thinking I may just take myself over to the mainland for the day. There's a few things I would like that I can't get here in town. Supper last night was a bowl of chilli I had made the previous day - nothing exciting but it hit the spot any way. Thinking of Lori - hope you're taking it easy and recovering. Look forward to seeing your posts again soon. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning.
This morning I slept in until 6:33 and boy did that ever fell good. Mandy was in no rush this morning so I had one cup of coffee and a cookie before we headed out the door. It is a chilly 65º so it was shoes and a jacket this morning. And we took the cart too. When I got back home I checked Amazon and my electric embosser got to Phoenix early evening last night. So there is a good chance that it could come today. *crossing fingers*
If the embosser comes today I'll be playing/learning that otherwise I need to clean the porch with the leaf blower. It could use a hose to it too. But right now I'll just slowly and leisurely finish my coffee and cookies and enjoy the fresh cool air coming inside from the open windows and door :)

Good morning. Went for my walk and then came home and made omelets for breakfast. I had sausage and mushrooms left from the pizza last night.
I've been waiting for a friend to call me as her dh had heart surgery this morning.
I will be glad when this sore on my arm heals so I can get back in the pool for exercise. This is week two.
Ann- I wonder if acorn Squash wouldn't work since I can't get butternut here.
Tasty- have fun on the mainland today.
Mamma- I wish I could get back into card making again. I have so many supplies.
I hope Lori is doing good.
Elaine

I am on strike. It is a beautiful day and I don't have any intentions of going to work anytime soon. Maybe tomorrow we will see what kind a of response I get from my boss. There is conflict in paradise. I have spent most of the day in the greenhouse taking cuttings. I have done about 50 New Guinea Imps. I will also over winter the parent plants in hope of them giving me more babies. Now I am back to Non Stop Begonias. I have quite a number of them still to do. Then back to the geraniums. Have some of the left yet to do. Most of those I am tossing the parent plants as they didn't do well at all this summer. I am at odds with the company right now. The have all of a sudden decided we can no longer use person email addresses to communicate with the company. We have to have a special encrypted one which I understand. Non of the instructions that they sent to get it set up work. I finally spent an hour on the phone supposedly getting it set up with someone who didn't exactly speak good English. Even the things she was telling me to do didn't work and he finally had to set up my password on her end to get it to work. Then I had to go in and change that password. It only has to be 14 characters. Yup, easy to remember. Now everyday I have to go looking for emails from the company every so often. I now have to have Office 365 on my computer which causes problems sometime with the version of Office I use and use outlook but my address isn't outlook. I am getting too old for all the stuff I am afraid but don't want to give up the money.
Ann, I am venturing into more different dishes with shrimp. I subscribe to a few daily recipe sites and have gotten a lot of recipes from them. I was just shrimp recipes today. I am beginning to wonder most of the time if these folks ever cook anything but chicken. Very seldom do the post beef or port recipes. It certainly has been great sleeping weather.
Tasty, that is about the time I usually get up but with it being so dark now I have a tendency to roll over and not get up then I hate myself for it. Hope you find everything you want on the mainland and enjoy yourself. How far is it for you to go shopping on the mainland? I like to do that but it is 40+ miles for me to go the the city to find thing that I can't get around here.
Mamma. hope your embossing machine arrives to day and you get to play with it.
Elaine, what did you do to your arm?
Thinking about Lori. Hope she is recovering well. I checked and she hasn't been on since the 27th of August. Wish we would hear something more from her.
Have a great day.

House cleaning day around here and she's almost done. Such a lovely person and she does a great job without being told what to do. I skipped lunch so will have lunch/supper after she leaves. Will make garlic bread to go with yesterday's leftover spaghetti. Bet, it seems the company has to make one or two tries before they get it right. And then expect you to figure it out. Luckily, you always do. Tasty, hope it's been a relaxing day doing a little shopping on the mainland. Ann, you are being so clever about combining components of your provided meals with dishes you want to make in your own kitchen. Good thinking, 99! Hope your arm heals soon, Elaine. Momma, hope your embossing machine arrived and you are having fun with it today. Big hugs to all.

Hello, I have heard nothing from Lori, but wish I would.
I slept in then got started on clearing out the guest room. It is still a work in progress. DH is coming home a little early and said he would help. We will eat early because he has a board meeting at 6. I am making meat loaf and baked potatoes. I need DH to go through some of his winter clothes that are stored in the closet. I have pulled a few things of mine that I am getting rid of.
I have a concert tomorrow evening. It is the first one of the season. It is going to be 60's music. We are going out to eat at the Mexican restaurant-we being Pat and Celeste, not DH.
Waving to all and wishing a wonderful day to everyone!

A quick hello!
DH & I had leftovers tonight after choir, since we went out to eat last night. I need to see what I can pull out for tomorrow night. Maybe some smoked sausage with red beans & rice, since we haven't had that in a while.
I'm scheduling my last few PTO days for the year and it looks like I'll be able to take off the week between Christmas and New Year's. I'm looking forward to that, since both DSs will be here then.

Bet, it's about 25 miles over to the mainland these days. Used to be more like 35!
