Good morning friends.
Had rough day yesterday with the intro class. The other 2 classes were good. Today the Assistant director will be there as the intro class begins and he said "I will let them have it"! LOL Intro's always have those kids that no one knows what to do with and so they act up a lot. I have today and tomorrow with them. Oh well it is what it is.
Hope everyone has a great day and I am thinking of you Lori!

Good morning! It's cool and clear this morning. We are able to open our bedroom window now...bliss is sleeping with fresh, cool air!! We ordered up last night. I had a delicious piece of roasted salmon with honey mustard glaze, squash medley, and veggie brown rice. Bill had coconut shrimp, fries and steamed broccoli. Tonight we are meeting friends, I think, at the restaurant. If plans don't fall through, I will see what the special of the night is before I order the pork! My wellness appointment went well. I still have to get a blood test, but the Quest lab is less than a mile away. Will also call for an eye appointment in the same building as Quest. The NP will schedule a mamo for me in November. I was very impressed with the NP...she knew her stuff, for sure. A sign company has been installing directional signs at the intersections of the roads around the complex and have put up big letters indicating which building is which. I was a little concerned that the glass hangings I put on the balcony door might break from the clanging when the door is opened. I dug out tiny round bumpers (the kind that are put on the bottom of things so tables don't get scratched) and put them on the backs of the hangings. Problem solved! Will have to see what the day brings...will go to the gym later this morning, but I have no other plans. Have a wonderful day! Waving!

Good morning. Live is busy lately between work and Lions. I have been reading but just haven't felt much like typing. I sure hope we here something from Lori soon. I didn't work yesterday as had a long day on Sunday working and was just not in the mood yesterday. I spent the entire morning getting everything in order for the dinner on Monday night. I finished the shopping list then started comparing prices on line and making lists where I would be shopping this week for everything. Today will be the most of the shopping at Walmart. Their prices are the best for what we need. The ground beef for the meatloaf is leftover from them food tent at our last function in July so that is sort of a freebee. I will hit a couple of other stores while on the road tomorrow also. I have to go to the city for my Cat Scan tomorrow and one store there has pork loins on sale for $1.69 a pound so may pick those up and will have enough meat all but 2 of our meeting between now and June. It it is like last year the turkey I have will give us 2 meals it did last year so that will leave me one and I got 2 meals from the pork last years so if that is the case I may have it covered.
I am picking up a 1/2 bushel of plum tomatoes today at my last town before home and I told the farmer 2 PM Not sure what I was thinking as with the work I have to do today if I left about now which is actually late for me to be leaving I could be there by around noon so now I can't leave until about 11. I like to get out early but that isn't happening today.
Ann, sounds like you are settling into your new home and surrounding very nicely. Enjoy your dinner tonight.
Chris, sorry you had a disrupted class yesterday. When I was teaching vocational ed it was the first school of its type for our school districts. Unfortunately the kids we got weren't the ones that might be interested in the subjects but rather the kids that were problems in the home school so they would ship them off to us. Not a great teaching environment.
Elza, glad you were able to finds some good meat prices. Between this week and last week most of the stores around here have had good sale prices on beef. I got top round london broil for BOGO and it worked out the price was $5 a pound. I saved $50 over the regular price which was just about half.
I need to go do something before I get ready to go to work. I think it might be get my shower then laundry and load the dishwasher. That should keep me out of trouble for a while.
Have a great day.
Bet

Good morning everyone. Chris, sorry yesterday didn’t go as smoothly as you thought it would. Maybe after the kids have been ‘told off’ they will settle down. Ann, must look for a honey mustard glaze recipe. We have salmon quite often. Should be easy for me to do. Then DH cooks/bakes/bbqs the fish. Bet, you sure accomplish a lot in a day. You must be very highly organized. Hope your workday goes smoothly. Lasagna for supper tonight. Usually make my meat sauce from scratch. So we’ll see how we like this. No-boil lasagna, ( Catelli Express), never used this kind of lasagna before, always have boiled it, jarred sauce (Classico Tomato Basil), lean ground beef. Just have to chop some onion and grate cheese. Recipe is off the Catelli box. Not much else going on here. Bbl. Jan

Good morning.
Too many distractions this morning so Mandy took so very long to get down to business. The maintenance guys were putting up the fence for pickle ball and she insisted on watching. It was not an uncommon sight to see the maintenance manager just sitting in the cart smoking and doing nothing. Well I can't just sit this morning I have got to get the ironing done, do the dusting, make the bed, and finish two cards that I started last night. When my work is done, then I can sit.
Lunch today will be a hamburger with a tomato slice and a piece of lettuce. Chips on the side and fresh strawberries for dessert. Supper will be probably be yogurt or a protein drink with a couple veggie Ritz crackers.
Time to get to work. Happy Tuesday to all.

Good morning. Cookie usually meets her friends at the dog park at 5:30, but 8 didn't get her over there until 8 after we fed her 2 siblings at her house. Poor baby had no one to play with. I was awake at 5:30 but I just went outside with her in our back yard. I play cards at 10. Have a social club meeting at 2. Tonight I water at Janices.
I better get moving.

Hi ! I just got this from Lori moments ago:
"I was released from the hospital on September 7th. Very tired and weak. I have labs and numerous doctor appointments this week. Not really up to chatting just yet but I wanted to say a quick hello to all. I will be in contact as I feel better."
Wish she felt better by now, but at least she is home and I am sure DH is taking good care of her.
I got up early and made 4 shepherd's pies. I made the chocolate no bake cookies last night. I am planning on that for our supper also. Sometimes I take a small portion of what I make but by the time I divided it in 4 dishes, I was afraid of running short. I have most all ingredients, so will make us one later on.
I got my new Jonathan Cahn book in the mail so have been reading it every chance.
Waving to all!

It's a nice sunny day with temp reaching a high of 90 degrees. So much better than those 100+ degrees in recent weeks. Supper tonite will be a salmon and cauliflower packet baked in the oven. I like this dish mainly for the leftover salmon mixed with a green salad the following day. My grocery order arrived with a Marie Callendar's Lemon Meringue Pie that I didn't order. As usual they don't want the item back and don't charge for it. I don't care for meringue but will happily scrape it off and have myself what amounts to a bowl of lemon curd. Would never order it myself but will certainly enjoy it. Wishing everyone else a happy surprise day, too.

I did one more grocery shopping trip after work today and feel like I have my freezer well stocked. I also found pork tenderloins on sale, Bet, and have them marinating in the fridge. Tomorrow I'll drain, wrap, and freeze them. I also got T-bone steaks on sale, and Kentucky Legends ham.
Tammy, we are having your chicken almondine casserole tonight for dinner. It smells really good! Thanks for passing along the message from Lori. Continuing to pray for her & DH.
Chris, so how did it go today? Did the asst. director set things straight with the kids?
Ann, what a help to have all your medical appointments so close. That makes things so much easier.
Jan, I held off for too long on using the no-boil lasagna noodles. They make it so much easier! I like the Barilla brand pasta sheets. Hope it turns out well for you!
Mamma, your lunch sounds good.
Helen, bonus pie! That's a happy little serendipity.
Elaine, was that 5:30 in the morning you were talking about? If so, I am really impressed! I am not up and stirring about quite that early.
