Good early dark friends.
I hope we hear from Lori soon. Sure hope all is okay with her and her DH.
Nothing much planned for today. We will go down and get Dan signed into the gym and get his card now that it is free for him he will go more often. The PT person will give him a list of exercises and he will give them to the trainer at the gym and the trainer will put Dan through them and each month will help him with one private class and then Dan will work on the exercises throughout the month. Way better than us having to foot that high PT bill now. And the $896 a month premium has gone away. A great big sigh of relief on that one. I will now sign him up for a dental cleaning too now that he has dental too. He has not had dental coverage for 3 years. So this will now be so good for him. United Health Care took over as of Sept 1. He feels good now as they cover his meds and the other one we paid so much for did not cover but 2 of his meds. Now all are covered. It is such a burden off his shoulders that he feels good about it all.

Good morning! It's 48° and clear this morning. I went out onto the balcony and enjoyed viewing the ISS pass high in the sky. It was neat! We went down to dinner last night. I celebrated my birthday by having prime rib, succotash, and broccoli with a bleu cheese salad while we were waiting to be served. Had maple walnut ice cream for dessert along with some Earl Grey tea. Retired to the living room to listen to one of the residents play the baby grand. It was a nice evening. It will be a busy day today...Bill will drive me to the Salem senior center for walkaerobics and some chat with friends. He will go to the bank to deposit the "ton" of rolled coins we brought from Lawrence. He'll pick me up and we'll go to Aldi then on to get much needed haircuts. We have a meeting with the realtor and our lawyer after that to get some papers signed and notarized. Whew! I'll need a nap when we get home. Not sure what we'll do for dinner. Frittata is on the breakfast menu that I made with leftover vegetables. Iced coffee...of course! That's really good news for Dan, Chris!! Praying for Lori. Hope we will hear from her soon. Waving to all. Enjoy your day.

Good Day Mates! I hope Ms. Lori checks in soon. I am glad that everybody else seems to be in good health and spirits.
I have been in a dilemma for a couple of weeks and finally settled it with myself. I have a good friend who wanted me to be the Hospice advocate for her daughter who is dying of bone cancer. I let my self get sucked in and, of course, the friend side interfered with the pro side and the pro side interfered with the friend side. Due to massive frustration I told myself to make a choice....I chose the friendship and am now in "trouble" with my friend. I am hoping that this shall pass eventually. After making the decision, with lots and lots of heartache for me, I do feel better with all of it. My days are a lot happier!
Our weather the past couple of days has actually been cold....but will warm up for the weekend to almost the 90's. I much prefer the colder weather.
All else is in working order here...sort of. The house needs to be cleaned and the yard needs to be tended to and some shopping needs to be done. Our young BIL is still maintaining somewhat, so we are going to venture out for a day or two and are planning a trip for November. A new quilt has been started, only this one will be hand embroidered rather than a patchworked one. DD requested this one. I think she thinks that I can work magic!!

Good morning.I am also concerned about Lori. Saying a few prayers. Chris, I am delighted that Dan has that burden taken off of his shoulders. I can't believe the demands of a neighbor to bail her son out of jail, really? What nerve! A stay there might just get his attention! My next job is to clean up the table I brought from home that folds up and I use for crafts in painting. It is just the right height and size for my computer table here. It needs a good cleaning with a visit from Mr Clean sponge and we are good to go. I had to laugh when I saw this in the paper the other day. I had pureed meatloaf the night before! LOL! Birdy

Good morning dear friends.
We have been out and back. Mandy has had her treat and now down for her morning nap. I'm on my second cup of coffee and a pop tart. :)
Hair cut this morning and as long as I am in WM I'll pick up some stuff for meals. I've not been eating very healthy for too long. No not getting meat, not at WM. Just some veggies and fruit or fruit juices. I don't like cooking anymore and don't want to either, so I'll have to really be creative and open to what I will eat.

Good morning everyone. I, too, was hoping to hear news about Lori. Oh, I do so hope that everything is alright with them. Chris, such good news for Dan. So glad you don’t have to worry about the insurance anymore. Ann, nice you had a good day on your birthday. You share a birthday with our youngest DGD. Hard to believe the baby of the family turned 22. How time flies. TrailMom, good to hear from you but sorry you are having issues with your friend. Hope it gets resolved quickly. Birdie, you’re sure moving right along getting your room just as you like it. Mamma, got my hair cut yesterday, sure put me in a better frame of mind. Hope it lasts. lol. Hi Elaine. We’re all worried about Lori. I think Tammy left a message. Not much going on here. Bread rising in oven, started in bread machine. Hazel’s cleaning the bedrooms. When she’s done, I’ll clean her up and put her to bed (charging). Then I will dust those rooms, with lots of rest breaks. Probably take me a while. Back later, hopefully. Jan

It's raining again. This time like it means it. Chilly in the low 70s. Perfect day to wrap up in a throw and read a book. More likely wrap up in a throw and do my encyclopedia thing on the computer. BTW I still spell out encyclopedia with that Jiminy Cricket song playing in my head. Anybody else remember it from the Mickey Mouse Club in the 60s (I think)? Chris and Ann, I'm glad you could get insurance and other legal issues taken care of. It's a worry. Birdy, I was on Amazon and an ad for ready to heat pureed foods popped up. Of course, I thought of you. Had no idea you could buy it. Just as you say, seems they will puree anything. I sure hope you can heal from your jaw issues soon. Since it's a rainy day, I'm making myself a small pot of chili for supper. By the time I get done with it, though, I'm not sure anyone but me would recognize it as chili. P.S. Bet, I do toast the bun and spoon on a Tbsp of marinara at a time.

Hello, My heart is heavy because of another school shooting. So terribly sad.
I just got a message from our Lori, and I posted it above. If you are a praying person, please remember her. She did not say exactly what the coming procedure is.
It has been a nice day. I slept in, took my time getting ready. I vacuumed, made the marinade for a chuck eye steak. I'm not sure what the chuck eye steak, is, I am assuming some style of regular chuck steak. It's been marinating all day, so hopefully will be tender when we grill it. I may do it in the house or DH might grill it outdoors. It started out sunny but is clouding up now. We have a 40% chance of showers at 6 until 9 p.m.
Chris, I am so happy with your news. Glad that he is glad!
Ann, I could go for some maple walnut ice cream-yum!
TM, hopefully things will get settled with your friend.
After lunch I ran a couple errands. I gassed up the car, and picked up a few groceries that I need for the next few days.
Our truck has been in the shop, so I picked up DH and dropped him off at the garage.
Waving to everyone! Sleep well.
