Good morning friends.
Was really hazy here yesterday from all the western smoke. Sun was red most of the day and the moon was wicked orange.
Today I will be going to the Weston Play House with Dan's cousin and we will be seeing Pippin. We will have lunch first in Ludlow and then on to Weston. Should be a fun day.
Hugs to you Lori! Safe travels today.
Elza- Good to know you will not have to work that over time.
Bet- Sorry you are so busy, I hope you get a break soon.
Helen- I love the sounds of your heat.
tasty- I really need to inventory my freezer too. Want to come do it for me? LOL
Birdy- Brian is very nervous about this upcoming surgery. He is stressing about it a bit. I tried to reassure him but being a Para-medic he knows too much! They make lousy patients.
Have a great day all

Good morning! I'm late in getting on this morning...computer was not cooperating. It's hazy here, too. Forecasters are warning about the moderate smoke. We had a nice lunch with Duchess' new parents. The said she is adjusting very well and is comfortable roaming the house and sitting in the "bird" window. She only scampers undercover when the two autistic grandsons enter the house. My Lawrence neighbor, Yisel, is visiting at lunch today. Tonight there will be a BBQ buffet. Did not go down for the seafood buffet last night because we were still full from lunch. Bill is going to Lawrence to check on the house. Only 17 more days 'till closing! I found a new yogurt we like. It's a cashew & coconut yogurt alternative. www.walmart.com/ip/Forager-Project-Dairy-free-Cashewmilk-Yogurt-Unsweetened-Vanilla/502295470. I add a touch of cane sugar to the unsweetened and have it with grape nut style cereal. It's so filling! Have a terrific Saturday! Waving!

Good morning Ann- that yogurt sound good. Dan loves an unsweetened yogurt and then he adds fruit and some of my jam to it. We have a coconut unsweetened yogurt. Good to hear that Duchess is doing so well. That must make yu feel good. I bet you will be glad to have the closing and be all done.

Good morning from a very wet Ontario. We do have a weather watch in place and predictions of 1 1/2" of rain falling in just one hour! We'll see what happens but the group is debating whether or not to do the market tomorrow. Nothing planned for the day. I would love to do your freezer Chris but only if it doesn't involve any bending - LOL! Does Brian have a date yet for his surgery? Too much knowledge isn't always a good thing. Those 17 days will go by so quickly, Ann. I understand Duchess disappearing when the grandchildren appear - she is so not used to the younger set! Enjoy the visit with your friend. I'm sure Lori is already on the road but wishing her safe travels. I'm sure some Lilith time will bring a smile to your face. Waving to all!

Good morning. Mostly passing through waving since I don't have a lot new to say. Which is a good thing since I am dictating and I have been told I should not talk a lot to give the muscle time to relax. Did you know that the muscle in the lower jaw is the strongest in the whole body? Found out that tidbit for my doctor. No wonder a human bite hurts so much.
Chris, tell Brian that people like to share they're horror stories about things when it isn't necessarily the case. I hate it when people feel they have to tell you that so-and-so had a terrible result. The methods and care today are so much better that he should not be scared. That's easy to say, though. It isn't a fun thing to go through but it's going to avoid what could be even worse. Hugs to him.
Tasty, hope your Market works out okay this week. We had some rain early this morning but right now the sun is shining brightly. Hope it keeps up that way.
Bet, hope work is going okay. Thinking of you.
Have a good Saturday all.
Birdy

Good morning. It is disgusting out there this morning. No breeze, high dew point and 85º. The temp isn't bad but the dew point is killer. UGH! It is suppose to be a windy day but nothing right now.
I have a load of laundry in the washer and that will be pretty much all that is happening here today. That is unless I get Annie to work for me. Last night my right arm, right at the injection spot, hurt like crazy. This has never happened before. It kept me awake for hours too. While watching tv it started to hurt and just got worse. This morning it is much better so I'm taking it easy. I did nothing to put a strain on my arms all day. I do know what I can and can not do yet. Oh well. I'm still hoping to get to the upright freezer today, but........

Elaine, you are right, there is a breeze now. Nothing at 6:30. I'm really tired of this summer. It's been the worst since we have been here, IMO. Enjoy a swim!!!!

Good morning, friends! We've been enjoying morning temps in the low 70s this week, although still up in the 90s by afternoon. For August, this is pretty great weather!
We don't usually have much scheduled for Saturdays but today we're meeting our friend Shur at the Indian Buffet in Greenville -- always fun to visit with him. He spent the whole summer in India with his family so I'm interested to hear about that. Then this afternoon, we're dropping in to a surprise birthday party at the Anderson County History Museum. The honoree was the interim pastor at our church, and then joined our church after we hired our current pastor. His wife & I have become good friends. She asked for bookmarks as gifts since he loves to read -- I like that idea!
Chris, have fun at the show! I understand Brian being a little anxious -- as my Dad said, "It's wonderful what doctors can do for you, but it's not so wonderful to have it done to you."
Ann, sounds like you are really enjoying all your company and having such a nice place to visit with guests. Very glad to hear that Duchess is doing so well. I know that is a relief.
Tasty, wow, that is a lot of rain in the forecast. The market can wait -- y'all don't want to be out in that.
Birdy, continuing to pray for good results for you. Hoping that soon you can eat and chew and talk all you want!
Mamma, glad your arm is feeling better today. I have laundry waiting but that is what it's going to do this morning -- wait. It's not going anywhere, that's for sure. 😄
Elaine, I know you are all enjoying having the clubhouse available again.
Lori, thinking about you and hoping you are having a wonderful time with your girls.

Mamma- I got lazy and decided no swimming this morning. I am also tired of summer, it needs to be fall.lol. But if we were still up North I would want it to stay.
Elza- enjoy your friend today. It sounds like they have interesting stories of their travels but then you do to.
It is nice to have clubhouse open, but now with Richards death people are walking around on egg shells.
Today, there is no card games so it will be watching football . Tonight I will water Janice's.

We have cancelled going to the market tomorrow. Hubby and I will probably go out for breakfast instead. A friend gave me a new recipe that I am going to try for the markets on Sundays. I made a small batch today just so hubby and I can try it and I will take one with me on Tuesday so the canners can try it too. The third one will stay in the freezer for a while. The rain today really hasn't come to much - we did have one heavy downpour early on but that's it so far.

Just checking in while getting dinner. Since I was up all night in the bathroom Wednesday. I sleep habits have been all messed up. Very little sleep Thursday night after sleeping most of the day Thursday. Last night was a little better. Hopefully I will get back to normal tonight.
Today the Lions has a table at the Farmers Market so worked there from 8-1. Came home and took a two hour nap after reading everything here for today.
The best thing about this week I got myself a new housekeeper. Her name is Alice. She charges herself, returns to her home when she finishes, empties herself and recharges. All with just the touch of an app on my phone. I can turn her on when I leave in the morning and all I have to do when I get home is mop the kitchen floor. Best purchase I think I have ever made.
I am making a new potato and bacon casserole for dinner that I am trying out for the Lions Dinner for September. The best part of dinner however is Side Pork. I haven't had it in years and there was a farm at the market today selling meat and the had it. I was almost as expensive as Beef Tenderloin but I just had to have it. Have some leftover corn on the cob for vegetable.
Just waving to everyone this time through. Will time to find more time to post as I can. I do read everyday.
Have a good evening.
Bet
