Good morning Friends.
Not much planned for today. Supper last night was a small beef stew made with left over beef tips.
I did go vote in the primary yesterday here.

Good morning! More muggy and hazy (from Canadian wildfire smoke) this morning. It seems I tend to sleep later when I need to get out and about early so I'm rushing again this morning!!! Lasagna was good last night. We had it with some chicken and a salad that we ordered. Not sure what we are doing for dinner tonight. I'm going to walkaerobics at the Salem senior center and will sit and chat for a while before heading back. Bill organized his tools (that he won't probably need!!!) yesterday, and I went through our container of emergency lights and other electrical stuff like extension cords. Set some aside to give away, and everything else is put away. Enjoy your day! Waving!

Good morning to one and all! Today is National Creamsicle Day and National Pineapple Juice Day.
Well, for me, yesterday was a terrible, horrible, no-good day. In addition to having lymphedema, I also found out I have lipedema. Since there is only one therapist to 350 patients, I will need to wait another few weeks until her schedule clears before we start treatment. Starting on September 3rd, I will be going 4 afternoons for a week of treatment and daily wrapping of my legs. As time goes on, it will drop to 3 days a week and then 2. Now I need to see if my primary doctor will write a script and the insurance will cover PT that they are also recommending for me. On October 10th, another revaluation will be taken and a new plan of treatment decided upon. In between, I need to see about ordering new support garments, going several times weekly to just walk in a pool, and switching back to my older, gentler pump on my daily squeeze.
I'm not in the best frame of mind right now---I am dealing with anger, frustration, and depression. Having been a teacher and taken care of my little ones, this has been hard to accept that I can no longer do what I once did and now depend on my DH for so many things. Some days are better than others and once treatments begin, hopefully I'll see a little improvement in time and will feel better all the way around. Until then, I will post when I can.
DH started work today. At 6:15, he got a text that he wasn't needed at his favorite elem. school today after all and was needed instead at one of the high schools. He wasn't thrilled about that as he really was looking forward to seeing all his "ladies" but was told he will be needed tomorrow at the elem. school.
Need to get my 2nd cup of coffee and see where I will go from there. DH is making a TJ's dinner this evening---Orange Chicken and Veggie Fried Rice and/or egg rolls. I will surprise DH with an orange cake (new recipe) for dessert.
Waving to all and wishing each of you a beautiful day! Lori

Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't check in sooner. I texted a few people yesterday but forgot to leave a message here. It was a bit hectic yesterday.
((Brian)) Having to deal with something similar I feel so sorry. In my case I had to have the surgery or run the risk of losing control of my arms and legs in a bad fall. I know what it's like to have your life change like that. I had C4 through 7 done with the first surgery and then slightly lower with the second surgery. But I'm a lot older than you are and that does make a difference. You will get through this fine.
((Lori)) so sorry to hear about your results. I know this is going to take a hole out of your time coming up. I guess on the plus side is the fact that there is some treatment. But it's still not good news.
We have Canadian Wildfire smoke here too. It is giving us incredible sunsets.
Thankfully my jaw is not sore today. It certainly was yesterday until the meds kicked in. He thinks I have a chance of having the muscles relax; we shall see. I have been told not to talk too much. To rest the muscles, you see. I'm trying!
I need to get going. Have a good day.
Birdy

Good morning Lori, my heart is just breaking for you. I don't know what else to say, but know that you are in my prayers. {{{BIG HUGS}}}
Chris, enjoy a relaxing day, take advantage of it, they don't happen often.
Ann, muggy and smoked filled air, I hope you can stay inside today.
Hopefully someone is coming to buy my round table this morning. I'll then be able to put my craft area in order. I am also anxious to get the injections in my shoulders today. When I get home I'll just sit and let the medicine work. I'm good at sitting. hehehe
Last night I slept so well that I didn't wake up until 6:45!!!!! I could get used to this. :) Mandy was still sleeping and woke up slowly too.
Today I'm thinking of driving over to Burger King for lunch. I've been craving a Whopper for days. Time to satisfy the craving. Supper will then be a lettuce salad of some kind.
