OK, I guess it's safe.
We had a nice day, warm but seasonably so. I got the front beds all cleaned out this morning since I couldn't cut the grass due to the mower needing to be charged. Got laundry done & the AC unit out of the window. That part was easy; getting the screen back in wasn't. As you put one side in, the other would pop out. It fell out of the window 3 times on me before I could get back inside to get it locked in.
Finally got it in at 2:30 & I was supposed to be at memorial at 3. Fortunately it was being held here in the community but that was the fastest shower/shampoo/hair drying ever. A record 15 minutes.
When I got back home I got the front yard cut & the d'way sprayed (again) for weeds & grass. It's so bad that I actually ran the mower over it earlier today.
Tomorrow morning I hope to cut then "dog yard" again & get started on cleaning up the Daylily Bed. It's a disaster.
Looks like we've lost LINY?
Anyway, how was your day?

Watched the ladies Olympic golf final round this morning while the machines took care of the laundry.
This afternoon, while hubby golfed, I played in the kitchen, making red pepper and garlic jelly as well as a red onion jelly. As they have set up, the veggie pieces are dispersed nicely thru the jelly. Both look very pretty.
This evening we are going to watch the Tragically Hip concert that is being televised nationally. Should be a good show.

Good evening. We certainly had interesting weather around here today. I didn't go out at all, but by this afternoon it had begun to rain, continuing on and off throughout the rest of the day. I'm glad I didn't make the effort to water the pots before the rain. I guess it was the front bringing in the cooler air for the week. I'm very much looking forward to opening windows and turning off the A/C tomorrow. I doubt DH will go for doing it tonight.
I really just worked on laundry and played around on the computer today. A cousin had me searching through Ancestry DNA matches to see if we had any other shared matches that she could contact. I hadn't gone through my distant cousin matches in a while, but I did find some interesting matches, none with that cousin, though. I am on the older laptop that sometimes poops out on Ancestry when I am sorting through my matches. I'm not sure why, but Firefox stops responding in the middle of my searches. By the time I realize there is a problem, it's too late. The computer is frozen up. After the second time of that happening, I decided to give up for the night. I'll wait until the newer laptop is charged and go back to the searching tomorrow. I wrote a novel-size email to DSon. I owe one to DD, but needed to recharge my brain before I tried to do another email like that. I also owe one to a cousin who has sadly grown used to waiting on me. Like the Ancestry work, I'll get back to the emails tomorrow.
The hummingbirds continued to entertain today. It doesn't happen very often, but there were two hummers eating from the feeder outside the office window, when a 3rd came along and chased them off. Silly birds! I have enough syrup and ports for them all.
Gayle, it sounds like you had a heck of a day, but you got a lot done. Good for you! Not sure what is happening with LINY these days.
Your jellies sound delicious, Tasty, if they are attractive to look at also - all the better! I've had the Olympics on, but I've really not been paying attention. I don't know what I am expecting from the games. I just haven't been able to get very excited about any of the events.
Well, I suppose I should start making my way towards bed. I did sneak in a nap this afternoon, but I can feel myself starting to wind down.
Have a good night, everyone!

It is late but decided to check before I head to bed. Will be gone all day tomorrow so probably won't have time to get on here. I do have to do my unemployment online in the morning before I leave, though. Hope I don't forget since I need that check.
Karen, I cleaned and filed one of my hummer feeders and while I was hanging it back up I was told the hummers that they had more food. About that time a hummer came right up to the feeder, and I was still in the process of hanging it. But he flew off and I assume came back after I left. I think this same one has watched me sometimes through the window, hovering in front of the window. They can be fun to watch and I can help but wonder why they do certain things.

Just stopping in quick before heading to bed. It is early for me to go to bed but I am really tired tonight.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful out today. 71º for a high with a nice breeze.
I didn't get everything done today that I wanted to. Before starting to weed I decided to get the hose out and wash my car and then decided I may as well wax it too and since the outside looked so nice I decided to clean the inside and even scrubbed the floor mats since I had some carpet cleaner on hand. I also took out the blanket, extra parka and gloves out of the trunk and washed them, bagged them up and put them back in the trunk. I am now ready for winter, lol.
My oldest son, his wife and my grandson stopped over for an hour and a half in the middle of doing all that and after they left I did weed one bed and trimmed back a few plants.
Tomorrow will be more weeding and laundry.
I guess I also made some bread pudding and mmm that was good.

Hello all. It is late, but I was busy writing a profile here..LOL. It has been a very warm week until this evening around 5pm. The wind changed and in came a nice cool front after the rain we had all day. It will be 60 degrees without the humidity tonight. It has been horrible for the last two weeks regarding the humidity we have had here. I will sleep good tonight, or I should say this morning. Anyhoot I just stopped in to say hello to all. Tomorrow I will be drying herbs and cutting down the crownvetch along with pulling some weeds. That time of year to start cleaning up a few things.
