The cooler weather the past couple days really has me thinking that Fall is right around the corner. Even though I love Fall, the thought of summer and beautful blooms slipping away makes me sad. I guess we'd better take time to smell th roses my friends! I am loving this night blooming Datura (Mooneflower) that I got from Melissa...will save seed for this for sure. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I got seeds for this blue Rose of Sharon from Stella and from Leroy...so I call this my Stelroy Rose of Sharon...lol ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I love the large zinnias...enjoy the Lime Green/pink/burgundy combination (please tell me why Tiny pics turned this sideways? I don't know how to correct it, so kindly cock your head to the left...lol) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ LOVE LOVE LOVE my White Buddleia...aka Butterfly bush..finally blooming well its 3rd year. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Please share something beautiful in your world....doesn't have to be flowers...anything goes here! Charlene

WOW Char, your pics are beautiful.. those are gorgeous Zinnias, and of course that W.B.B. is great and so the rest...I understand why you will not be so eager stepping into Fall & Winter.. for me is the opposite, can't wait for cooler weather, Fall is almost perfect, everything seems to revive
Just love the unexpected, those MGs found their way in the Crape Myrtle pot...
The good thing is they don't seem to be overly aggressive, keeping an eye on them
Boy, that looks like a hard life...just floating in the ocean....and taking care of the many wives..lol

Ili...your MG are so pretty! I laughed at your last picture...does look like a life of leisure.
Mary...how cool is that? Different color blooms on the same plant? I feel a bit better now. I was afraid I had gotten seeds mixed up even though I was positive I was extra careful last year when saving and marking them. Charlene

What lovely pictures today. I like your comment Charlene...just cock your head to the left! LOL!! No clue why it would do that to the picture. Glad you got nice blooms on the moonflower. My cardinal flower is so bright! My Joe Pye from Charlene is HUGE!! Hard to see with the light, but these plants are tall (tithonia 6+'), taller (broom corn 10') and tallest (green headed coneflower 14'-hard to tell but it is down hill from the others and still way taller). About the only monarch I've seen this summer. And these little beauties are my favorite little cuties! A bumper crop of baby tree frogs this summer.

Mary...what lovely pics of your hydrangea...and I love the collage technique of posting them!
Linda...that is lovely and makes me smile, too.
Melissa...That certainly is a bright red! WOW...looks like you have lots of tall plants there. You will soon have to be like Steve and climb on a chair to photograph them. Glad the Joe Pye Weed is doing well...the Monarchs do love the Tithonia. I am envious of your cute little tree frogs...none of those here, but we sure have a lot of toads....they love this wet summer.
Marg...thanks for stopping by to enjoy the pictures and for your nice comments. I hope more are enjoying them and also hope to see some more participating. Charlene

Charlene, seeing Stella's pictures of that blue ROS inspired me to buy one a few years ago. It is called Blue Satin. This one is from last year Since I got that to work I might as well keep going. These pictures will all be from my back yard as that is the folder I have open. Phlox Back when I still had my Pampas

Very nice pictures! Many of my flowers have died out, some season and some permanently. And the dryness here this year just made things worse. I don't think my Joe Pye weed is blooming or going to this year. My peppermint phlox is almost finished and my purplish daylilies has the last bloom on it today. They were loaded with blooms this year. I still have sneezeweed in bloom and it is pretty. Purple asters budded. Flowers really suffered here this year unless you watered every day and I didn't drag the hoses out to the fenceline flowers along there and too much is overgrown there now and needs to be replanted in many places. Think it just needs some large bushes planted along there DH said. I have a few there that need trimming now, too.
I have a ton of coneflowers all in bloom on west side of house where the birds planted them. And, I had a pretty white lily come up I planted a few years ago that pleased me.
The recent rains did help the coral belles look good again and even some of the hostas I had already trimmed.
DH saw 3 deer while on his walk tonight with dog. So they are wandering in some of the yards. Warm here tonight and was in 80's today. Headed for rain and cool spell now, TV said.
