Cloudy and cool this morning 47 and going to 60 and of course strong winds. No big plans for today cleaning inside the house and doing some yard work. Not going anywhere did 3 times this week. Slept wrong last night and my back is really hurting, but just about ready to take 3 ibuprofen had to eat something before. Yesterday we did go back to the Estate sale and Ray got both cabinets he wanted for half price. One we will sell and the other one Ray wanted for the pole barn, BUT, no room. Guess now we will sell it also. If he would stay in the pole barn for a couple of hours and toss and clean, I'm pretty sure he could find room for it. He just isn't the person he was a few years back. Me either but I do get things done, might take a little longer but it gets done. Jan, Must be everyone is comfortable calling you by your first name, nothing wrong with that. Still have wild fires in the area? This week has been rough for meal planning we haven't ate the best. I just get tired of fixing the same things. Leroy, I must of missed the post where you posted about the pain Dr. I went back and reread 2 days. Just take care of yourself. Hope something is on TV for you to watch today. Connie, I would say you are lucky to have DH do the dishes, Ray clears the table but no dishes. I myself don't like neighborhood sales, usuall all new houses and all young couples with young kids. Anyhow thats how it is in our area. Many good deals for you. Thinking of Lair this morning and I hope Dale is able to visit him. But that is where he belongs. Have a great day .

Good morning. 69, going to 81, with partly sunny sky, and little breeze.
I have the "kid" that mowed the lawn last week coming today to pull some weeds, dig up a plant I don't want, and can't give away, and then cut whatever little trees he can find. He looks to be about 16, but could be a year or so older. Trying to make money this summer.
Tennis is on live for a few hours yet, so I will watch some. Not much else after the lawn is done. Might get to sit on the front porch while he's working out there.
I have a big patch of mustard growing in the back yard. I wasn't home last summer to keep it under control. I told Adam the other day we were going to make our own mustard. I've looked up a recipe, and it doesn't sound too difficult. I don't think we will be doing that, though, as he didn't sound too enthused. Probably should have Connor ("the Kid") pull it while he's here. Going to have him take a picture first.
Carol, I'm glad you were able to get those cabinets - and half price, too. Are they bigger ones?
Hope everyone has a good day.
Leroy

Hi everyone,
Are you working on your tan, Carolyn? Have a good time while down there!
Leroy, hope the new kid works out for you. I hope he enjoys weeding. Personally, I hate it!
Carol, yes, I remember the new developments have kids stuff and wedding gifts for sale. LOL
I have worked out that computer problem. The phot s and words had the bleeding sort of thing to the right as if the pictures and words had skidded. Well I was thinking about a new computer and son in law was helping me from Va. Had me turn it off and wait for ten minutes and then turn it back on. I had already done that a few times. this time I decided to slap the monitor around a few times. LOL. then I ran my right hand up and down the back side of the monitor.About ready to kick it , you know and suddenly all of it straightened right up! So I am back in business at least for the time being!
Talked to Jill this morning. Snowing in Estes Park. Normal for this time of year there.
I got my calcium infusion injection late yesterday.
Mary, I sure hope that your loved ones get all well soon. Such a worry for you and it takes the joy out of life doesn't it? Just not knowing what the future holds puts a damper on things. I know, only too well. My lilacs are almost gone. I have about 100 feet of lilacs between my neighbor and myself. The one bush that I had way out in another spot for many years hardly put out a bloom then I read that they do not like being near a maple tree. Moved it way away from any maples and it took off and keeps spreading,
My little white dogwood tree is still beautiful. so happy that it decided to bloom after all these years. Seven or eight! Nice how it holds its blooms too.
I hope thatDale is visiting Lair today. The board is not the same without Lair. It has been so nice having Leroy and Lair. Remember, Nickel 98? What was his real name? It has slipped my mind. He posted lots of photos. Especially of his trips to Ireland. Then, there was that dude who called himself Surfer Dude. A real trouble maker here.
I made caramel corn Praline last night. with two cups of pecans.
I will check bck later to see who else of our gang posts. Have a nice Mothers Day to all the mothers! mary in Michigan

Another late night for me. I did get some things accomplished today! NO 1, all my plants that I got from Menards 2 weeks ago are in pots some place. That was enough to wear me out making many trips to the kitchen for water, washing some old pots and some new to me pots from the g-sale yesterday, etc. I did 2 pots up for DGD; one was the purplish pot that got a purple petunia & some other things...not many because it is not all that big & one that is about 15 inches wide and 12 deep. I may do more for her if she wants more. I also had DH bring the 'new' chairs I got yesterday at the g-sale, over in front of my deck chair; then I washed them off and put a coat of Old English scratch cover on them...will wipe them down real good tomorrow after the scratch cover has done its job on them. I also trimmed 2 dead branches out of the lilac bush. My Clematis is in full bloom today with purple flowers. The other one that the neighbor sprayed the top of it & killed the top half. That part has come back but is not blooming as yet. We are pretty sure it was him and was in retaliation for his dogs dying...he thinks we did it...stupid oaf!
I was as tired tonight as I was last night so we ran up to Subway and got a spicy Italian that we split. We had not had one of those for a long time.
Carol, glad the cabinets were still there and half price is even better...maybe it was smart to wait! I was surprised that a few of the g-sales I went to yesterday were cutting prices to half after noon. The area I went to yesterday was not all young people as it has been there for many years but the houses are big and most are brick. I liked it because it was not all that big an area and the sales were near each other. The lady where I got the shirts said she has lived there 40 years. I like the way that neighborhood is laid out....lots of the streets & they have cul de sacs on them so no traffic roaring up or down the streets.
MaryinMichigan, you are one ambitious lady! The caramel corn praline sounds like a winner to me! Yum! Hope you puter continues to perform well.
Carolyn, enjoy your trip and don't get sunburned!
Leroy, I hope the 'kid' does a good job for you and if so, maybe you can use him again.
I know MaryB is tied up but where is everyone else? Happy Mother's day to all and a hello to Lair. Hope your buddy came visiting today!
