What a pretty meme this morning Charlene! Hope it's a good day at work for you. Dull and cloudy here, 45 at 7am going to high 50s and it's one of those days when -will it, won't it rain today. The forecast has changed several times already. The canning group took our 'senior' member out for lunch yesterday to celebrate her 90th birthday so we cut our work day short and sweet - no onions for us yesterday. We didn't think the restaurant would want to be invaded by a group who had been working hard, but had no time (or place) to shower and change before going out to eat! So we made some jams! No clue yet what today holds other than a nap to compensate for a rather early - 3.15- start to my day. Enjoy your Wednesday š.

Good morning everyone. It is 30Āŗ and frosty this morning. The new weather guy actually said, "I would think this should be the last frost of the season". He is new to our area from Arkansas, so I don't think he knows we often get frosts well into May....lol. Later it is supposed to be upper 50s with no winds! Too bad I have to work today or I would enjoy being outside.
Yesterday morning I took Curt to his Dr appointment, but he had unintentionally cancelled it, so that was rescheduled for Friday. The gals came for lunch. After lunch I went to visit Phyllis and take her a birthday present. When I got home I decided to see if my lawn mower and weed trimmer worked. I mowed the longest part of the yard and got Ā¼ done before running out of gas (in the mower). I then trimmed until the battery wore out. Good news that they are both in working order for the season.
Tasty....I laughed about not doing the onions....lol. My neighbor lady, Phyllis, was 93 yesterday. Kudos for your senior member still helping can and bake at the age of 90!
Happy Wednesday to all. Charlene

Good morning. It is 45Ā°here this morning and showers for the day. I have a 6 1/2 job to do today so the weather doesn't really matter to me. I can't say that I got anywhere near as much accomplished as I plan with my 3 day weekend. The list is still long. I spent 7 hours in 2 days on chat with tech regarding my new internet equipment that I bought and isn't working correctly. It still isn't finished but I need some time to clear my head before I go back at it with them again. We need to start from square one and determine if there is something wrong with the equipment. DGD did come up Monday and we got one greenhouse up and I moved some plants in yesterday. Spent a lot of time getting the heat setup and working. With all of the power outages we have had lately all of my smart plugs are not working. Took for ever to get the 2 I needed for heat and fans working. Now to get the thermometer back on line. A lot of the problem is caused because of my email change as I can't change the email on some of my accounts as they can't email the prior email address to confirm it is me. What a headache. These are accounts I never thought of before the email expired. Just things I don't use often. Got 4 loads of laundry done one day. Not sure when I posted here last or what I posted.
Well unfortunately my hair is about dry and time to get ready to go to work. Busy the next 3 days. However, if things stay as they are next week I may be able to work Monday and Tuesday and have 5 day straight off. Time will tell.
Have a great day.

Good morning. 30 and breezy already. Sunny and high of 58. Would be nice if we could have a day of no wind. I have beds to clean off but its hard in the wind. Well its easy in the wind but hard to do it neatly. Lol
Yesterday morning we did have some showers but nothing too significant. I washed the walls in the stairwell and got stuff down. Patched a bunch of small dings and a couple cracks. Once those were dry I sanded and then vacuumed up the dust and the edges of the stairs. Dd helped get the packing tape run along the edge of the carpet. I put 2 coats of primer on the short wall side and around the door at the bottom. I will start there today with the āhonied whiteā paint. I wouldnāt have had enough without priming. The last 2 walls I have are the tall ones and those I am doing the brown color so it covers much better. I did get outside late afternoon and got 3 beds cleaned off and some compost placed around one. I had 2x2s cut in pieces vertically around this bed as a barrier. Several were falling over and with no dog I guess I donāt really need that so pulled them out and filled in the gap around the edge. After dinner dh and I got in a 2 mile walk.
Painting and home softball game today. Anything else is bonus!
Tasty-Ouch on waking at 3:15. I was up at 4 but then slept 5-7.
Charlene-Have a good day at work.
Bet-Sounds like a long day ahead. Good luck.
Well the birds are looking for some peanuts and Iām looking for more coffee. Have a great day.

Good morning all! 67Ā° and sunshine. I thought I'd post before aerobics and never get back here. The high today should be 80. I need to get a haircut. My friend didn't text me back so I'd better give her a call. It's grown an inch over the last 6wks and covers my ears which makes it hot.
I moved the trellis after I found someone in the village to fix the stakes on it. I planted what I thought was mandelvilla and turned out to be allamander vine. So I left that where the trellis was and planted mandevilla on each side in the new location. I have white, yellow, pink, and dark pink. Now I have to be patient and watch it climb.
Charlene and Bet, hope your workday goes fast. When I was working I never was too concerned with the weather except for driving. We didn't even have windows.
Bet, sorry for all your technical difficulties. I'm still using win7 on my laptop. Other than that, not much other technology. The cable company handles my modem and internet.
Have a great Wednesday everyone. I have to get ready for aerobics.

Good morning, we hit 78Ā° yesterday for our warmest day of the year so far. Its 48Ā° this morning and cloudiness and a wave of cooler air is expected to hold temperatures in the 60s today.
I had a nap last night and went to be early so woke up at 4 AM. I may need another nap today.
Would like to get the backyard mowed today as its supposed to start raining tomorrow.
Tasty, Happy belated birthday for your senior member.
Charlene, lovely meme this morning. Happy belated birthday to Phyllis.
Bet, an old email of mine expired and I didnāt realize until almost a year after it expired.
Have a great day everyone.

Melissa my sleeping habits seem to be much like yours. I finally got my library card and have been downloading books to read when I can't sleep.

Good morning. After I have a bath and wash my hair I need to run to DG for some kitten food and litter. We found out that the stray I feed had gotten under the house and had another litter. I had assumed this litter had all died because she hadn't brought them to the porch. Since the crack above the door was too high for her to carry them through I now know why. I just happened to be in the back yard and saw her jump up and over. This opening is under the deck. So DGS managed to catch the 3 kittens. I'm hoping there aren't any more. I'll be taking them with me to DS'S Sunday because DGD#2 has been wanting a kitten. I don't think she has totally convinced her dad but if not I'll bring all 3 back and next week take them and the momma cat to the shelter. Hopefully they will take them. I'm glad I bought that cage because it has come in handy. It keeps them corralled and they are now climbing and playing in it. I put the mom in there with them several times a day and she has finally gotten use to it too. After DG I plan to work outside. It will be low 80s today so hotter than yesterday. But it is nice not to have the ac or heat running for this short time.
I better get going but will come back when I take a break. Hope everyone has a good day.

It's cloudy and chilly here. Depending on which weather source I believe, we will either stay below 50 today or slightly exceed that. Either way, we are expecting a freeze watch from midnight tonight into late morning tomorrow. That has changed my plan on when to ship the plants to DDIL's DM in IL. I don't want the tender Korean hyssop seedlings to freeze if they are outdoors in a truck or something like that overnight. I'll wait. She is in our growing zone so there is still time before she can safely plant outdoors also. Plus, I will have time to harden her seedlings off as I will begin that either Friday or Saturday. Today is the big van day! After I am done at the museum, we will go to the dealership and pick up the "new" van. I was good with everything but did have concerns about selling the van outright personally. My trust issues, ya know. It seems possible that our friend, Jerry, may end up buying it from us for a hauling stuff around vehicle. That would be too much to hope for and an answer to prayer. Not dealing with strangers on this would be such a blessing. Jerry is very auto-wise so he can do whatever needs doing on the van, so I am hopeful this can be resolved as painlessly as possible. When I am done here, I am going to get a cashier's check to take to the dealer this afternoon. Jerry will drive DH home in the old van. Prayers please for an easy outcome on this. When I moved the seedlings around this morning and watered, I got a wonderful surprise. I have a silene blooming! I took pictures that I will post later on when I am less frazzled. Pretty meme, Charlene. Glad to hear your mower and weed trimmer are in working order for the season. Tasty, what a way to go with the flow and change up what you were canning yesterday. I hope, Bet, that you can work out your schedule so that you do get 5 days off in a row. That would be awesome! You have my mind putting painting on my to-do list, Melissa. It needs doing here - badly - but will have to go to the bottom of the list. Nonetheless, you have inspired me. Thank you. I needed the push. Wendy, your weather sounds delightful. Enjoy it and water aerobics today! Yikes, Mary M., on your sleep pattern. I hope you can get in a nap at some point. Remember when we were kids and didn't want to go to bed? Now, it is a luxury. LOL! More kittens, Leslie? Oh boy! I hope you can find homes for them either with family or a shelter. I'd love to help you out on that but distance and a stubborn hubby prevent that from happening. Good luck with your day today, Mary. It would be nice if Janet would like some of the plants. Well, I must shower, head to the bank, and then to the museum. It'll be a full day for sure. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good morning, it is currently 62Ā°and partly cloudy/sunny. When my son and I went to breakfast this morning, it was cloudy. When we came out it was sunny and it has been doing that so far today.
My son left this morning for home. Now need to rest. hahaha It was a busy time, he had places he wanted to go and my other two sons could not come on the same day so we went out to eat two different nights. I have leftovers in the fridge for two different meals.
Need to do some cleaning and rearranging this morning so need to get to it.
Have a good day.

Good evening,
We have been mostly sunny all day in the upper 60s & no rain. It was an "iffy" forecast anyway.
I got my Columbine planted & the bed fertilized. Next comes mulch when I get to it.
After that I made good progress on my Dayliy bed. Only one small section left to clear.
If the weather stays warm & sunny I want to spray the weeds/grass in my d'way tomorrow & hopefully kill them before I hear from our HOA again
I also plan to get the last of the leaves out of the corners of my fence & chop them up with the mower. I don't usually go from one area of the yard to another like this; but the rainy weather has put me so far behind that some things need to be done NOW.
Bet, I e-mailed my DM Mon. about not working in the store this week while the re-modeling crew was there & asked her to move things to next week when I have nothing scheduled. No response & of course now they are red (late) on my schedule. Sent a copy of the original e-mail this morning. She replied to that & said she answered me Monday (she didn't) & that when I go to the store I should ask the SM where the supplies are that I need. Well, DUH. I think I might already know that after 17 yr. Never did say whether next wk. was OK or not. But they did manage to schedule an assignment at a store I never go to & expected me to do that TODAY. It wasn't even there this morning so I told her she needed to find somebody else to do that. This all goes back to them ignoring the fact that I am supposed to be a "Helper" employee & not have anything automatically assigned to me. I requested that as of 1/1/23; Still working almost as much as I was because they keep putting work on my schedule, same as always. I think they are in for a surprise come 6/1 because after that I am not accepting anything on my schedule that I didn't request.
OK, off my soapbox.Need to go feed the cats.

I think I'm ready to call it a day. Although I didn't do a whole lot I did enough to get my back hurting. It was a pretty day though and is still 81. I think I'll go inside and relax with the shiatsu cushion for a while. After working on preparing the soil I planted the 4 yellow squash I had growing and then some zucchini seeds. Next I plated some of the bell peppers nearby. Still have another area to prepare for the rest of the peppers and another area for the tomatoes. But most of those are in their own pots so are ok for now. Using the cultivator and bending to pull roots, plus raking out leaves, is what aggravated my back. It hurt to stand while watering but I wanted to get everything watered and clean and fill the birdbath.
Bet, I hope you get that equipment set up.

Good evening. My brain is completely fried. I desperately need sleep, but if I lay down now I will be up in the middle of the night and be wide awake. I will plug along until a decent time to drag my sorry butt into bed.
The van saga is over with now. I upgraded to a much newer model than I had been driving (still a Dodge Caravan) and got several things on our wish list in this one. I also got 2 new tires on it. Plus, the salesman hooked up my phone to Bluetooth so I can hands-free talk now. I'm probably never going to use it, but I figured in case I might it is best to ask him now. While I did the business stuff inside, DH enjoyed himself waiting in the new van listening to a Billy Joel CD we brought along to check and make sure the CD player worked. A CD player was on DH's wish list. My big wish was 3-row seating so I can fit DSon and his family in the van with us when they come. This has that. There are plenty of bells and whistles to get used to, but I can always take it back and ask for instructions on what I don't recall him telling me today. A HUGE weight off my mind is that our friend, Jerry, is going to buy the old van. I may have been able to get more from a stranger off the street, but he is giving me twice what the dealer would and I can be content with that. He does tons of stuff for us whenever we need help. Additionally, I don't have to mess with this any further, and as much as this sounds stupid, I'm thankful that it is going to Jerry. I really love the dang van and would drive it until it wouldn't go anymore IF we had a backup vehicle, but we don't. It is also meaningful to me that it will be tooling around the grounds at the museum when Jerry is working there. Our mutual friend, Jack, would also love to see his original van still on the property being useful. Multiple prayers were answered on this little exercise in faith.
AND, I was extremely happy to see that I wasn't a total failure in starting tall ironweed this year like I have been with liatris from seed. When I got home from the museum this afternoon, I spotted one small speck of green in the dish that had spent time in the garage fridge until the 14th of this month. I had pretty much given up on it given my track record with the liatris. I see that it gets pretty big so I may have fun trying to find a spot for it. One thing is for sure, I won't have room for more than one.
Carol, it is always good to see our loved ones but I think it is pretty common for everyone to be glad to get back to whatever their normal is. I heard from DSis#3 yesterday that while she is enjoying her visiting family, she is also exhausted. I understand. Enjoy your leftovers.
You have been working so hard on your yard, Gayle. It is going to pay off before you know it. Wouldn't it be nice if your manager actually paid attention to the things you tell her?
My goodness, Leslie, you did a lot today also. I can see why your back is giving you trouble. It has to feel satisfying to get all of that done and behind you.
Well, I think I am going to go take some acetaminophen since my back is kinda bugging me also. Not sure why. I'd like to sleep well tonight since tomorrow we are meeting with DSis#3's family at Cracker Barrel in the afternoon. Her DSon is bringing his daughters to meet us all for the first time. Hopefully DM will feel up to coming also.
I don't want to think about it just yet, but come Friday (maybe Monday) I'll probably be dealing with getting DH a lift chair. One thing at a time ...
I hope the day was good to everyone. G'night!
