Good morning everyone. It is 44º and going toward 60º later, but once again we will have 35-45 mph winds. Those winds make it very unpleasant for doing any outside work. I am waiting for my trash cans to be dumped anyway so I can refill them. I did get all of the piles in the yard raked up Sunday morning before my company came.
The dinner on Sunday went well. Yesterday was very busy at work. Last evening my friends took me out for supper for taking care of their bird feeders and watching their house while they were gone twice to AZ and once to Portugal. I also got a thank you card with money in it...yay...More money for plants...lol.
I have to go clean for the lady minister at 8 which is an hour earlier than usual, but Curt has a doctor's appointment at 10:30.
Hopefully later today I will have time to read and catch up on posts. Wishing everyone a good day. Charlene

Good morning. 44 headed to 50 by 11 then dropping back down to 45. A slight chance of rain. We did have a pop up shower yesterday late afternoon.
I took a day off painting since what I have left is the stairwell. I needed to color my hair so got that done. After I had things to get at both walmart and aldis. Once that was put away I grabbed a kitchen trash bag and went for an earth day clean up walk. I went around our loop road and walked less than a mile down the trail that runs along the road and filled a bag. People are pigs! By the time I was home it was time to make lunch. I didn’t get much else done before we left. I did clean the bird bath and refill that.
Today I may do some painting. I had an idea on it while laying in bed not sleeping. Lol. So we’ll see if I can do it without making a mess. If it works I will save myself having to use the big ladder. I could also get supplies for some landscaping projects, and could rake off the rest of my beds. I do need to plant balsams today for sure.
Karen-Good luck with the van. I’m telling you from experience that most dealerships now have transparent pricing and don’t work on commission. That means the price is what it is. We couldn’t even get new tires on mine on them because they were within the legal limits to sell (literally at the limit). We did get a whopping $50 off for a big chip in the windshield they had missed (thats what they claimed to charge for a repair but it was a Saturday and their shop was closed). When we got home and I called for an estimate it was over $200. Since we have full glass coverage I said forget it. I’ll wait until its worse. I’ve now had it 3 years and the chip is still there and hasn’t changed. We have a car listed for sale right now and its been a pain. People not showing up, messaging at the last minute saying they can’t come up with the funds, etc. When you sell a cheap ($3000) car you get to deal with some real winners. So be prepared. Since that money isn’t going to make or break us I personally could care less if it just sits in my driveway. Lol
Well I best post before this goes poof. Just getting some slow typing. Have a good day.

It doesn't look like this will be a very nice weather day. Currently, we're cloudy and breezy with a probability of rain this afternoon. We're expected to be on the cooler side for the midweek but rebound nicely over the weekend. Tomorrow will be downright cold with our high not getting out of the 40s. We'll surely freeze overnight. Oh well. It is what it is. Today promises to be another busy day. I am going to head to the bank when I am done here to transfer money from the savings into the checking account. If the van is still available, I think we are going to take it since it meets many of our wish list wants. It will be a little disappointing if it isn't available anymore, but not overwhelmingly so. What's for us won't pass us by. It isn't like I was just sitting on this and taking my chances on it. I was doing due diligence and carefully weighing our options. I have bills to pay today also. Since I missed talking to DM last night, I had to stop doing this and call her. Everything yesterday got in the way of my second call to her until it was too late to call. I still need to deal with the lift chair situation at some point. Now that I am running everything through my head, I realized I still have to deal with my life insurance plan. It's not a priority now, but I also have to consider that in what needs doing. From yesterday after my first post ... Carol, I hope you had a nice visit with your DSon. Amazon surprises are usually good ones. Hope yours was! I'm sorry to hear, Leroy, about your pain. Seeing a chronic pain doctor seems like a good plan. I can see how you would fear messing around in the dirt again. I sometimes think of your situation when I am dealing with my plants, but I don't often enough put on vinyl gloves to protect myself. I surely should given my history hip replacements, revisions, and infection. Thank you for the reminder to do better. I'm very pleased that Shar is feeling better, Mary M. You have to be relieved for her. Given what you paid for gas, I am not going to complain about having .30 off $3.99 a gallon here. Gayle, I'm glad to hear it wasn't just me that had board problems yesterday. Do you know if Mike got frost last night? I am nervous about selling this car because I am not terribly trusting in situations like this. I appreciate the luck you are sending my way. Today ... Pretty tulips, Charlene! Yippee on you getting money for more plants. Have fun spending your extra cash. I hope Curt's doctor's appointment goes well. Very nice to hear that everything was good for your Sunday dinner! Melissa, you helped me make a decision on the van offer. I'm glad to know both your take on dealers not dickering on price anymore and that you were not able to get new tires when you made your purchase. I think I am taking 2 new tires if they won't come down on the price anyway. It isn't my first choice to sell our van on my own, but I have reconciled the fact that if I have trouble selling this one I can always get the price the dealer offered me from a scrapper. We had one come to the door and offer us $500 cash for DH's van that didn't even work at all. That is all the dealer is offering me now. I'll take my chances on getting more from a private sale since I have the scrapper idea in my back pocket for Plan C. Thanks for your valuable input! Good luck on your painting idea. Sometimes the best thoughts come to us when we can't sleep. I have had to paint some of my lawn ornaments also, Mary. The sun does do a number on them quickly and they tend to fade. Well, I better get dressed and head to the bank. Have a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning. It was chilly last night and this morning but I refused to switch the heat pump back to heat given that we will be warming up as the week goes on. It was 63 in the house so I put on a Hoodie when I got up. It's 63 outside now but going to 76. I think I'll get out and dig some more liriope so I can get that area ready to plant squash. The trash needs to be taken today since it is closed tomorrow so when I get up from here, eating oatmeal, I'll scoop the litter boxes and get the trash ready.
Charlene, it's nice that you have plant money.
Melissa, hope your idea for painting works out.
Karen, wishing you good luck with the dealer and selling the old van. I didn't really have any luck to speak on in getting the price of my new car reduced in 2017, but I did get them to throw in a trailer hitch, which I've never used. But it's there if I ever buy or rent a trailer to haul things.
Have a terrific Tuesday.

Good morning, its 50° and it’s we are beginning the day warmer than yesterday morning. We expect sunny skies and daytime highs in the mid-70s. Going to enjoy the nice weather while I can cooler weather begins tomorrow and rainy weather starts again on Thursday.
I started the dishwasher and need to get the trash and recycling out and ready for pickup.
Charlene, it’s always good to have more money for plants.
Mary, from time to time I repaint my turtle lawn ornament. I have had it for years. The second turtle ornament wasn’t made of the same quality and didn’t survive our winter weather.
Karen, it does sound like you have another busy day planned.
Melissa, nice job on your picking up trash on earth day.
Leslie, 63° in the house seems chilly for me. It maybe with our humidity the air often can feel damp.
Have a great day.

Good evening,
We've been sunny all day & in the 60s but with the breeze it was a little chilly in the shade.
First job this morning was painting the bird bath base, then I went to the dump & got rid of all my trash & recyclables.
When I got back I had a late breakfast & then finally got the stump bed finished. There's pictures in the picture thread. I put the Spider plant back out & left it. It won't be any warmer in the GH.
After that I weeded one of the Hosta beds in the back & pulled 6 or 7 five gal buckets of chickweed. I wanted to get that done today so I could plant my Columbine, which I will do first thing tomorrow, if the rain holds off. Then it's back to weeding the Daylily bed.
Karen, I don't know if Mike had frost or not. I haven't talked to him lately. One reason being it's hard to talk on the phone while I'm still deaf in one ear . You have the phone to the other ear to talk & then I sound like I'm talking from the bottom of a barrel. Hopefully this will improve by the weekend.
