Good evening,
We were mostly sunny today with a high in the mid 70s.
Filled bird feeders this morning & need to get more bird seed. Checked my Foxglove & apparently all they needed was more water. Which they got & are doing better, Whew, I'm kind of counting on those to fill in the scraped up back beds this yr. Even if they don't bloom,it will be something living.
I also cleaned litter boxes this morning. And I tried using the DIY bleach solution as a wash with a hose attachment on the stained soffit. Didn't work so I will buy a house wash to try next & as a last resort just paint the darned thing.
Did a couple loads of laundry & was just getting ready to cut grass when DB pulled up for a visit. After he left I did cut the front yard, raked it & sprayed my roses with deer repel. I don't see any sign of new grass but the existing grass was 6+"tall, so had to be cut.
The Crepe Myrtle & Hydrangea tree are budding out. And my Wisteria Tree will bloom again this year. Yaaay Looks like I finally figured out how to make that happen.
I was going to cut the back yard but mower batteries needed to be charged so decided to work on finishing the stump area instead. All filled in & top soil down. Re-potted my Spider plant & put it out there. Next is filling in the original bed with MG Garden soil, re-planting & putting the brick border back in place. Saving a spot to put a bird bath. I scrubbed the base to that today & will re-paint before putting it at the edge of the bed to hide a bad spot on the stump.
That was pretty much my day. Still on a hunt for compost, so will hit Lowe's tomorrow for that & Bird seed.
Charlene, a little break for taking care of your neighbor is good. Enjoy your supper with the Bachelor's Club.
Mary,my BFF's SO had a stone form like that. He had surgery & made out fine. Praying the same for your sister.
Leslie, you're a busy lady today.
Bet, hope the job today was easy & went quick. Five hrs a day in the store is my limit.
