Good evening,
We were cloudy & chilly all day, but no rain. I/O says low 60s but it felt chillier. Still calling for rain later tonight.
I didn't go dancing tonight; thought I'd let my ear heal some before exposing it to the loud music.
I had taken my heater out of the GH earlier this week but put it back tonight. Even though it was 49 in there last night & would probably be warmer tonight my Foxglove weren't looking too good. It could be because I left the doors completely open the past couple of nights. I'm thinking maybe the chilly wind. I'll check on them again in the morning. They were doing great.
Sandy, the raccoon might not have been rabid but I agree that they should have disposed of it. Here, they wouldn't have even come out to shoot it.
Mary, prayers for your sister & family.
My kidney lab work wasn't too great Wed I just saw it online. Says the Dr. hasn't seen it yet. We'll see if she has any suggestions.
I worked some more on the stump area today. It's shaping up. Plan on finishing it this weekend. I ran out of topsoil about 3/4 way through & since it is supposed to rain overnight I decided to go get some more, dirty clothes & all. I just pulled up in the lot at WM,went into the garden center, paid for it,back out, loaded up & gone in 15min. I knew if I waited & it rained the bags would be too heavy.
But before I start on that tomorrow, I need to cut grass, especially the front & spray my roses for deer. I saw them nibbling on them this evening. I don't know how they do that with the thorns.
I guess that was pretty much my day. At least what I remember of it.

What a day today continued to be! It remained sunny and beautiful. The breeze was not great, but it sure looked nice outside. I feel like I packed a week into a day somehow. Since I posted earlier, I went to Kroger and picked up far more than what I went for in the first place. I guess it doesn't matter all that much since most of what I got was going to be needed before long anyway. I try to save myself trips when I can. Hopefully this buys me time for a while before I have to go again. When I got home, David and Monica were here. He mowed and Monica helped me bring in groceries and unpack them. Since he was here, I had him dig up about half of the Stella de Oro lilies, a chunk of the purple coneflower, and half of the sedum. I am going to send the coneflower and sedum to DDIL's mother. David and Monica took the lilies. This will give me so much more room to plant what I have growing in the house. They also put up the patio umbrellas for me so I can harden off the seedlings pretty much whenever I want to. But with us taking a dip in temperatures, I probably won't begin the process for a week or ten days. What the kids did for me was huge! That takes so much off my plate for later on. In the midst of that happening, I missed a text from DSis#3 regarding her son and a situation with his family. His soon-to-be ex is playing games, which is disappointing but not a surprise. Tonight is going to be filled with drama, lots and lots of drama, so DSis was rallying the troops to pray for the situation. Also in the mix was texting back and forth with DSisIL#1. It sounds like DBIL#1 is being a poop now that he is home from the hospital. He's an outdoorsman through and through, but life isn't allowing him to do the things he usually does, wants to do, or expects he can do. That makes him grumpy. I guess he apologized to DH for something. I didn't get the whole story from either DH or DSisIL. DH understood that his brother is not feeling great himself so grumpy is understandable. It's been a good enough day that I am finding it easier to accept that the Bulls played a crappy basketball game tonight and ended their season on a low note. I started watching the game and turned it off way before things apparently got out of hand. There is always next season. I need to get up early tomorrow and get things picked up around here if the neighbor is to come and look at the chair. Now that I know we can get a new one, I am not nearly as anxious for him to do this but I don't know how to wiggle out of him looking at it. If it is an "easy" fix for him, it will be nice to have until we get a new chair. Should the chair be shot, we can continue on as DH has been in the regular recliner. Thank you, Leslie, for the encouragement on the chair. Thanks, Mary M., for the prayers. Can't ever have too many of those! I'm going to remember the cookies for breakfast for a long time - and smile. I'm so tired that I forgot to mention that I have prayed for your sister, her doctors, and all who love her. I hope the day was good to everyone. G'night! I'm beat and looking forward to my bed and pillow tonight.
