I'm back. I had a cup and got my compression socks on. Now I am ready to take on the day. I don't have many things on my list today but they are all time consuming. Trash, recycling, and I need to start getting my plants in the garage. Tonight won't be so bad but tomorrow night will be 30. The plants look real bad because they have been in the basement all winter, under watered, and with grow lights. They were all tall ad reaching for the light. Once the 50mph wind hit them they all look like they had a round with the weed wacker. Given a month they will start looking good. (I hope) I'm just taking them into the garage and they should not freeze. We got some rain yesterday, not the 3+" Mary got but we did 1 and a quarter. It was slow enough so none of it ran off. Today it isn't as windy, only about 30 mph with gusts higher than that. Today I also have to find a oxygen tube that goes on my Sleep Apnea Maching to my mask. Sometime during the night one of my cats chewed several holes in the one there. I know I have some extras but just have to kind them. I might have to find my memory pills first. I am thinking I should take them daily. I had a gal come by yesterday with some papers for me to sign. I know she has been here before but I did not remember her face. I could not have picked her out in a line up. I used to be very good with faces more than names. The closer I get to 80 the harder it is to recall things. I guess it is true that if you don't use it you lose it. Well I best get moving. I hope everyone has less pains than yesterday but more than tomorrow. Just enjoy the day.

Good morning, it is overcast and rainy. I did just have a little visitor. ;) I got up early, got a shower and did laundry, need to go to post office but will wait until afternoon. I guess I will wait to see if the rain stops. I am still sleepy so might take a nap. You all take care.

Good morning. 53, going to 79, with partly sunny sky, and not too much wind. Could get some rain tonight into tomorrow,
Not much today. Tennis, and that's about it, except for the Gameshow Network and news.
Have a good day.

Just checking in quick. We got 3.25" of rain here in town. Some places in the county were under a flood watch. I heard some people say they only got a little over an inch. It was wicked lightening, high winds in spots, and HEAVY downpours, so it was crazy. We had to sit in the truck for 20 minutes until it slowed down for a brief moment and we could come inside. It did start to pour again after we got inside. I finished the mint baby blanket. I looked on youtube and saw a couple different stitches for a new boarder and tried them. I didn't like them at all, so I went back to what I had already done. I ripped out a couple rows and changed up the stitches I used, and then reworked some new rows and it came out a lot better. I'm calling it done. Now, after supper, I'll get back to working on the other blanket again. I have 8 rectangles to make totally, and 3 that needed the final round. I'm gonna go look for some blankets that were done in a similar granny rectangle way to come up with a plan for joining all of them together. I had my call with the nurse for my wellness checkup next week. I also made an appointment for my mammogram. Oh yeah, I just love those. Well, I'll check back later.

Hi everyone, We sure got the rain this morning. It got so dark and windy. I heard a bang an beingoo deaf I had no idea what it could have been. Later I was relieved to see the bath room door had slammed shut.I was relieved to have that solved.
I made doughnuts last evening. I will give some to Dave. I had my dough all mixed, kneaded, and in the fridge . Then I spotted a cup of milk on the counter. Yes, I had to then work that into the already formed dough. Honestly. I am good at screwing things upllikethat. Then for some reason I had to add a lot more flour. They still taste good and look good but a bit tough.
Now I am making caramel corn. Didn't mess that up so far. Have a good evening everyone. Mary in michigan.

Best get this done. A stormy day with rain. We went into GR to Sams club and a few others stops. Then unload and take care of things. See you in the morning.

Sorry I am so late getting here. I did a little clean up today with the damp mop on the front entry tile and the wood area in the Living room. Took out the trash and washed the trash can in the kitchen...let's call it avoidance....the quilt blocks were calling and I was ignoring!
I started out in good time making the extra yellow bow tie blocks but soon became frustrated so I gave that up and went to the deck. I decided to do the trimming that needed to be done and a smaller Pinky Winky hydrangea bush, more on the limelight hydrangea, & tried to clip some off the Japanese rose (it has lots of dead tops). but I didn't last long on that. Dumped it in the garden waste bin as that goes out tomorrow, then went to the east side of the house and did some clipping of the dead stuff on the two bushes there...got one done and quite a bit off the other. Then went in search of the border blocks as there was quite a bit of dirt covering some of them. I did get that done and swept the loose dirt back into the flower bed and the blocks looked better...at least you can tell they are there. By that time the body was hurting so I sat in my chair with the heating pad on and enjoyed some iced tea & watched The Walton's.
I made a frozen pizza for supper. Took the easy way out! After supper, I got back to the quilt blocks and things worked much better for me. I ended up with at least 14 more so now all the blocks are gathered into bunches..2 bunches per row...each bunch needs and additional block added to it for a total of 7...now to figure out how to work that extra block into it as the extras are a mix of what was left from the original blocks..Clear as mud...right?
Tomorrow is Peru Girls lunch but I hope to start sewing the rows together.
Taking this tired old hurting body to bed and will read for a while. Wishing you all a good night!
