Good morning. 58, going to 86, with mix of sun and clouds. Third day in a row in the 80's - will cool into the 70's after that.
Adam had to run to the store before he could fix breakfast. He hasn't felt the best the last few days, but we are out of eggs and some other things. He should be back pretty soon.
I'm not going to say I might try to get to the front porch this afternoon. It hasn't worked the last couple days, and it might be too hot today.
Have a good day, everyone.

Good Morning Leroy and all who follows. Nice morning here its 45 going to a high of 69. I have empty my wheelbarrow and sit outside with my coffee, the 45 was a hour or so ago its not that cool now. Today I'm meeting my friend for lunch, then on to the store. After getting back and putting things away I hope to do more yard work. Yesterday I was half what busy but boy did the body hurt, much better this morning. I cleaned along the garage where all my spring flowers are up, looks really nice. Also visited with Paula, of course that is her cat and its PG. I wasn't very nice about it at all. But she has problems, schizophrenia, as long as she takes her meds everything is OK. When we first moved here we had lots of problems with her, she would walk right in the house without a knob, but we finally got it in her head, she can't just walk in. The last 10 years or so, no problems she really is a nice gal, but. After dinner Ray and I sat outside and enjoyed the early evening.
Sorry didn't read yesterday post.
Jan, Glad to see you post yesterday, I'm guess Paula has close to 15 cats. I tried to tell her yesterday it would cost less if she had them sprayed, but as she said over $60.00 for that trip. I feel so sorry for all her animals, no attention. Has a dog but never off the chain, but at least it is fed and watered every day, and has 2 dog houses.
Linda, Haven't seen the blue birds today, but now I'm waiting to see the Rose breasted grosbeak, a very pretty bird and also look so relaxed.
Leroy, I would say its too hot be outside, take care.
Thats all for now, have a great day.

Good morning, It is cool this morning but going to 80's. I had a good day yesterday. Went to my friends and we went on a little trip. Her DH had a meeting so didn't go with us. We went to the state park and had lunch. They have a buffet. The food was delicious. Hope all of you are well and have a good day. BBL

Good Morning. The sun is shining and we have 65 degrees at 9am. Yesterday was a great day but I am too out of shape to take advantage the great weather. I did get a lot of things done but I could have done so much more a few years ago. I need to set up tables to set plants on tomorrow before we get a few cool nights. I did get the humidifier empied out so it can dry. Now I have to decide if I am going to keep it. I have had it 5 years and every fall I have to order a filter kit for it. The filter cost almost 40.00 and only last 1 season. I discovered yesterday the fan only has one speed working and 2 that are not. My brain tells me as soon as I get the new filter the fan will go out and it can't be replaced. Might be a good time to get rid of it now. Not sure I need a whole house humidifier anymore. Enough plants to keep up the humidity. I need to go out and open the GHouse door and windows. Make a list for the day or should say week. You all have a good day.

Good afternoon! Sun has come out and warming up to 84°. Had my appointment at the Spine Institute and will have a shot next week for leg pain. Then the IT fellow, Tanner came and the PC is all hooked up and working again. Am going to have the maintenance guy check out the phone outlet in that room so that Tanner can hook up a cord to increase the speed of the internet. 2 of the starlings are fighting on the suet feeder…they certainly are aggressive birds. Just talked to a friend from Hawaii days….we have been good friends for years and we work on the problems of the world in our chats! Dinner tonight will be pasta with asparagus and Keith will fix a salad. Hope everyone is having a pleasant day.

I chased some weeds around the big flower beds. I thought the Schwan man was coming today, but realized it's now 3:45 and he comes next Monday. LOL, Mary you're losing it. I worked on the blanket a lot yesterday. I laid it out and measured it last night. I added the last two rows of single crochet to the top to make it as long as it was wide, which was 34". I started working on the boarder. I decided against the frilly boarder that the pattern had. I thought it might be too easy to catch and snag on something. I added two rows of single crochet to both sides so they match the top and bottom edges. I added half-double crochet all the way around. I laid it out and it's 36"x36". It definitely isn't a pattern I'm gonna make again. It just doesn't want to lay flat on its own. It's funny how it changed color yet again. I am not a fan of Red Heart yarn. I might add another round of half double crochet to make the border the same size as the solid sections in the blanket. Just chilling for the rest of the afternoon unless I get ambitious and want to chase more weeds. Nah, I'm paying for this morning already. I can feel it in my back.

Linda, If you need a refresher course, there are MANY crochet sites on youtube. I still use the pause and rewind multiple times when learning new things.
I watched the baby Canada geese jump off the bald eagle nest this morning in Decorah. Mom hatched all 6 eggs starting Sat. and was done by Sunday morning. All 6 jumped about 8 a.m. this morning, but only 5 were seen swimming with the parents after their jump. No report of what happened to the missing one. Same thing happened last year; one didn't survive the fall. It's a 70 foot drop for them with lots of 'stuff' between them and the ground.
Watching Caitlyn Clark getting to do her WNBA Draft pick.

Mary, that is not the block blanket you were working on but it finished nicely and will make a very nice baby blanket! Lucky people who get your crochet work!
Linda, lucky that you found a good computer guy that will make home visits!
Lair, sounds like you are feeling pretty well and been really busy!
Carol, you were busy as usual!
I did some sewing today.. I got 15 blocks done (needed 23 more) but 3 of them were duds as the yellow squares in them were not cut as large as the white squares so I will only use them in an extreme emergency. I hope to do more tomorrow as we are to get some severe thunderstorms in the early morning hours and will continue into the morning.
DH evidently bought a new sprinkler that wands back an forth in a wide arc. He ran it on the bed by the mulberry tree then shut it off! I went out and turned it back on and went across the back yard toward the front, then sat it in the middle of the back yard and went from there down to where it would hit the west fence. I got quite a bit covered today with water...hope mother nature does all of it tonight!
After I gave up on the quilt blocks for the day, I went out and cut off a lot of stubs from a bush so it can green up and started on the one next to it. I tried to hand rake around both of them and did not get that done. DH dumped the very large flower pot that I was putting the yard scraps in because he knew about the pending storms coming. I also went over to the west side of the house and had some easy grass to pull since the soil is powder dry. Wish I could have stayed with it and done a lot more. If it rains it will be harder to get out. Old Back was hurting!
The temp got up into the high 80's again today. Not as bad tomorrow I hope. I have the ceiling fans going and the furnace fan as well plus some windows open. We can use the fresh air!
Nothing of news here so will stop yakking about nothing. Have a good night all!

Good evening all. Connie, l keep missing your posts. Hi. Leroy, I sure wish Adam could get some answers to his health issues. Not fun not feeling well all the time. Carol, 15 cats is a lot. Doesn’t sound like she gives them much care or attention. That’s a real shame. Same with the dog. Keyscar, going for little drives can be lots of fun. Makes for a nice outing. Lair, good you were able to get lots crossed off your list. We’re all getting slower as we age. Nothing we can do about it. Pippin, hope you are able to get the outlet fixed and hooked up to faster speed internet. Mary, that’s a very pretty blanket. Is it a giveaway, or do you have someone in mind for it? Didn’t do too much today. Made a batch of Raisin Bran muffins, had all the ingredients measured out the night before. Then went for a few groceries, not much, mostly fruit and veggies. Mostly this afternoon I worked on my jigsaw puzzle. Just getting started with a new one. Will take me a while. Tomorrow, have to make a Costco run. Ugh, out of quite a few items we buy from there. I always get tired by the time I’m done shopping there (all the walking around),so that’s about all I’ll probably do tomorrow. More jigsaw time! Bye for now, Jan Hi,Connie, we keep missing each other. See how long it takes me to type a post? Must have taken me 25-30 minutes to make this one.

Connie and Jan….the compute works well now that Tanner worked his magic….he’s a very nice young man that thinks computers need to run faster than us Seniors. It is great that he will come here…I was surprised that this facility didn’t have an IT guy so I talked to the folks in the office….gave them his name and phone number, introduced him and when told them how pleased we were with the work he did, they will keep his name if someone else needs a computer worked on here. Joking with him…told him we should always be number one on his “fix-it list” and he said “Absolutely”! Time to read! Night all!
