Good morning everyone. It is 48º and going to lower 70s later. Yesterday was a 'summer' day in the lower 80s. The morning was perfect for working, but early afternoon the winds picked up and it was a little hot.
I managed to get all of the hostas uncovered this weekend. All of the trash barrels are full waiting to be hauled away and I have piles of debris to fill them once or twice again. Once I started raking them off, I discovered some of them are a couple inches tall. If I wait too long to rake the leaves off, I could do damage to the plants.
I got the rest of my zinnia seedlings transplanted and it's confirmed that I have enough to fill my yard and still some to share.
Off to work for me.....happy Monday! Charlene

Good morning. It was 38°here this morning and we may see a little sun today but still possible for some showers. We did get .05" of rain yesterday. Just enough to keep everything wet. Just finished mixing up the last batch of dinner rolls for tonight and they are rising. They will go in the refrigerator for a few hours once they make the first rise and then this afternoon I will finish them. When I get off here I have minutes to type and then into the kitchen. Need to cut up and cook the broccoli and make the sauce for the chicken divan and assemble that will go in the oven late this afternoon so it is still hot when I leave at 5 tonight. Also need to reheat the rice dish and get that into a slow cooker to keep it warm. I guess then it is just getting everything together as well as myself and load the car.
Charlene, have a good day at work. Glad you got the hostas raked off when you did mine along the house started coming up through this last snow storm. No leaves yet just spikes. BTW one lonely tulip came up by the sidewalk again this year but no blossom.
Have a great day.

Good morning. Was 31 here when I got up but warming up to 62.
Yesterday dd and I stained for 7 hours. It was very sunny and we worked in the sun. Very blinding! We finished up late afternoon. After some dinner I ended up working for an hour and a half cleaning leaves off flower beds. She has 2 beds that need yet so will do those today and maybe a light coat of stain on a few floor boards that need a 2nd coat.
Gayle-This IS dhs trip to Finland. First and only.
Well I need to get moving. Have a great day.

Good morning, It will be raining for the next few days and everyone is happy about that. A group of us was planning on going to lunch at a nearby restaurant today only to find out they are closed Mondays. So we settled on having coffee at the local Subway. My town does not have a restaurant so Subway it will be. If the wind ever dies down I need to burn off the asparagus. I see I have rhubarb peeking out. Love the first fruit (vegetable) of Spring. It is sunny, breezy, and not quite warm enough for me to head outside and enjoy it yet. I will need to shift my plans to after we get home from DH's PT and a trip to Dollar Tree this morning. Generally speaking, yesterday was one of our better days. DH wasn't better; my attitude was. Nothing short of a miracle. Not much he said or did bothered me. I'm hoping that my composure lasts a while. I rather like enjoying him again. This morning is starting off on a questionable note. DSisIL#1 texted that DBIL#1 called her early this morning from the hospital. It was hoped that he could go home today. That is now in doubt. He had a bad night with a lot of bleeding. They took his catheter out this morning as planned. I hoped the bleeding might have come from that, but the text DSisIL sent said he had a bad night. That must mean the bleeding was before the cath came out. DH is taking this a bit better than I expected he might - at least for now. He can't call his brother because he doesn't want calls. DH gets on the horn and calls folks whenever he has an upsetting situation happen. I'm glad he doesn't have his DB's phone number, or he would be calling him anyway. I'm guessing he will be calling DSisIL#1 and maybe even the kids. We don't have a clue what the next step is, but I am fairly sure DBIL ain't coming home today. It is probably for the best if the bleeding was going to start once he got home. Gayle, I am sorry you ended up in the Urgent Care yesterday. I hope you begin feeling better. Yikes on your eardrum rupturing! Glad to hear, Charlene, that you got the zinnia count perfect. They'll add tons of color and winged beauties to your yard before we know it. You've inspired me to get something chicken going in the slow cooker for supper tonight, Bet. If I wait, we'll be eating poorly again. Melissa, you have to be ready to not see stain again for a long, long time. Sorry, Marlene, that your lunch plans had to get changed. Subway is good. DH is always trying to get me to go there. I resist sometimes because I have to go inside and decide on hard stuff - like what we will be eating. LOL! Well, I need to head to the kitchen and get the chicken going now that I have a plan. May even put the pump into the pool and let it work its magic while we are gone. Wishing everyone a marvelous Monday!

Good morning. We are already at 80, so going to be a hot day. I pulled another lazy morning by getting up early and feeding the cats before going back to bed for a while. So it's almost lunch time and I'm just now having my coffee. Maybe I'm turning into Gayle. I put flea drops on all but one cat this morning. The last one will get his in a little while. He has a respiratory infection and I can't afford to take him to a vet so I'm giving him immune support cat meds and doing the steamy bathroom. Hopefully he will get through this. The other 2 kittens had the runny eyes but haven't been as sick as he is. I think it's a viral thing. The adult cats have had the feline virus vaccine and it barely affected them. They just had the watery eyes so I've been doing ointment in them. They are all going to run from me soon if I keep having to hold them down for various things. I need to figure out something for supper but I think it will have to be with ground beef. Need to take some out of the freezer if I'm going to do that today. There is a cabbage in the fridge waiting to be turned into parmesan crusted roasted cabbage but I doubt DGS or his girlfriend will eat that. Since she came along he has reverted back to his toddler days of not eating vegetables. Not sure what else I'll do today.
Have a marvelous Monday.

Taking a short break then will make the cheese sauce for the Divan and get it together and into pans and other than heating everything up last this afternoon all I need to do it roll out the rolls and get them baked. Unfortunately I still have some things to get done to be ready for the actual meeting tonight. Every time I stop in the kitchen for 2 minutes a new sticky note is made to remind me of other things that need to be done.
Will someday have time to catch up with everyone but doubt it will be this week. Lots of long days coming up.

Good morning,
Its 47° cool and cloudy this morning and looks like we may see some showers today.
Mowed the backyard and side yards a couple days ago and would like to get the front yard mowed before it rains again.
Went to an 80th birthday on Saturday for a friend, it was an outdoor party and thankfully it didn’t rain.
Yesterday after church we stopped at my niece’s home. They just adopted two kitties. The kitties are a brother and sister and just adorable.
Have a great day.

Hello everyone. A nice bright sunny day for us with temperatures in the 50s. Iwas out shopping early this morning. Someone was coming to see what happened to my less-than-one-year-old dryer and I wanted to be here. Hubby was here but I was back by 9am and the guy arrived just 2 minutes after I got here. He walked in, we told him what was wrong, he looked inside and said - I'll order a new drum for you - and that was it, he was gone. He didn't need the paperwork I had searched out that I was told he HAD to see! This afternoon, we're off to get hubby's car out of storage - yeah! One way and another a full day.

Good morning. No shuffleboard as it is to windy.
Marlene- happy birthday.
Gayle - I hope you are feeling better today
Tonight we are having pork chops. I am trying a new recipe. We had the pizza at 2 yesterday so neither of us wanted supper last night.
I think I will walk up to the clubhouse and work on the puzzle.

We are back home with both cars until the winter 😊 😃 !! Gives us both some freedom without having to check who's doing what when 😊 😃!! Hubby got one wall of the bedroom second coated and we have just put the bed back in place. Time for a break and then I'll make some soup for supper, maybe some biscuits as well.

Currently 78°, the sun is shining and there is a breeze but feels like a warmer breeze than yesterday. We had some rain overnight. I thought that it looked like the rain was passing above us but it came down from Canada and it rained after I was in bed.
Nothing much going on in my world today, just enjoy the day and read. I should clean the balcony but just do not feel like it today. Because of the roof the rain does not wash the pollen away and it makes a mess of everything.
Have a good day.
