Good morning. 61, going to 83, with sun.
Been watching tennis. Coming from Monte Carlo, which is 7 hours ahead of us, so to catch it live, I have to watch it in the morning. There's still more to come.
Not doing much today. Maybe have Adam push me out on to the porch, so I can sit in the sun for awhile. I've sure been having a lot of nerve pain in my right leg. It's just an almost constant burning thing, but every so often, it will feel like a vise or clamp on my "foot" that isn't there. They only last a few seconds, but sure do hurt.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Leroy

Leroy, I sent you a personal message about the Signal Relief pain patches. It might help with your phantom pain. There's lots of stuff to read on phantom pain, and what works.
I worked on the blanket yesterday afternoon and goofed again. I managed to somehow get one extra stitch on the very edge of that solid section, and it made the whole side bulge out. I have no clue why I didn't see that bulge forming. Yeah, I ripped it out again. It was the exact same section and amount as the first time I had to rip it out. I finally got smart and and started putting stitch markers in the edge and also so I can count and make sure I do that section correctly. I had it all redone and then some when I went to bed. I have realized that I can't get this blanket done with just two skeins of yarn. I only had 15" done and already had to start using the second skein. I made my blanket 5" wider than the pattern, but I was also going to make it 9" shorter. I guess I'll have to hit up Walmart for that.
Nothing else planned for here today. It's gonna be nice out.
It's 7:18 and we just got home from going to Decorah to the Chinese Buffet. Then we stopped at Walmart and I grabbed another skein of the Minty yarn. Oww, a whole $4.03 for that skein.

Just checking in babysitting the grandkids this weekend so we are pretending we are camping in the camper. We went to the greenhouses this morning got the watering done. Then watered the onions at home. Will do the cabbage next. Made breakfast ,lunch snacks in-between forgot how much they can eat. They fed the cows and chickens rode in the side by side and are running crazy outside. We ate lunch on the b picnic table. Now the 2 younger ones are napping. Windy again and already 80 degrees with no rain I pray it is not going to be another year without moisture but it sure looks that way
Well have a good day. Hope everyone is staying healthy. There is another virus going around here again they call it the 100 day coughing effects. Not good you cough and cough. Loose your voice and so forth.
Take care and God Bless!

Snow, Is that coughing thing in just teens and adults? Many years ago, I went through 3 years in a row of 6 week coughing jags. I'd get a tickle in my throat all of a sudden and then coughed so bad I felt like I was gonna turn inside out. I would eventually gag, and then it would just stop. After the third time, the Dr. finally told me I needed to get the Tdap shot. Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis.
Pertussis is what's called Whooping Cough in little kids. That's why kids get DPT shots, but those shots only last 10 years. I've had a Tdap shot every 10 years since I had that 3rd bout, and I haven't had any colds, but I did get covid.
The last booster for a kid is from 4–6 years old, so at 14-16 yrs. old, they could get whooping cough. When I got sick those many years ago, it was the adults giving it to the kid who weren't vaccinated or in need of revaccination. I just checked, and whooping cough was on the rise in China at the beginning of 2024. All the world travelers drag this stuff all over the world.

Good afternoon. I am having trouble staying awake. I worked on the plants Isiah brought up from the basement. There are 21 of them and they are all leggy with a lot of dead leaves and branches in them. They are also so dry the water you give them just runs through. I have a couple buckets I fill with water and set the plant right in the water. While the water soaks up the water I cut back the plant. They look like they make nice looking plants but it will take a while. I am exhausted right now and not sure if I will try doing any more today or let it go until tomorrow. Tomorrow is sounding better the longer I set here. You all have a good day.

Late afternoon hello! Sunny and 85° already. Have the living room windows open and while K cleaned the windows, I made him his favorite Lemon Bars. Already a Taco Salad dinner planned and bars while we watch an episode of “Inspector Frost” …..really like these British mysteries. The Brits do murder so well!
Have found a really nice IT fellow to work on our computer and he will bring it back Monday. Going to recommend him to the office ….since one must be 55 years young to live here, am sure there are a lot of folks with computers so was surprised when I asked about a computer person and was told they just recommend the Best Buy Geek squad. The gal I talked to said they would love to have resident recommendations so will do that Monday. Hope everyone is having a good day.

I kind of took the day off...did no sewing but I had plans to dig some grass out of the flower beds. On the way out with my tool bucket, I stopped to clean off the glass table and that led to doing a poor job of wiping everything off so I could sit out there on the deck. hour and a half later I got done what I wanted to do. Will get the hose out and wash it next week. After I rested this wreck of a body, I went out and did a little digging...by that time the temp was 87°...too hot for gardening. The raking still needs to be finished too. DH & I neither one have the oom pah pah we used to have so we are a derelict pair of workers!
I hope it cools off in here so I can sleep. I cannot skip church again this week!
Have a good night!
