Good Morning, Its raining and its to rain all day and again tomorrow. We had our high for the day at midnight 57, its now 48 and thats as high as it will go. Today is catch up day for me, been outside for 2 days and now I need to some work inside. Not sure what I will do, run the shark in the kitchen and livingroom. I'm just not happy with the arragement of the sunporch, too many plants. Not getting rid of any, my Easter cactus is full of buds, it will be very pretty once they open. I have some booth work todo. Other then that I'm going to take it easy. Ray dr. appt. went great his heart is pumping much better now thanks to the two new meds. We stopped at Dollar tree, and daily deals, plus I got gas for the car. Like I said, I'm not cooking, so we stopped and got KFC for supper. Didn't do much after dinner a few dishes, took care of some clean clothes and then watched the Chicago series.
That be it for now, have a great day.

Good Morning. Our forecast was the same as yours Carol but I look out and we have full sun and 51 degrees. They are saying it will cloud over later but no mention of any moisture until a chance tomorrow. Yesterday when I got off the computer it was 105º in the greenhouse. I decided it was time to unroll the sun screen on the roof. Went to the garage and had to get a ladder out and while I was at it got a folding table out on the patio. I got on the ladder and took care of the sun screen so it will be a little cooler in the GH. I cleaned the few Brody signs and got the table set up out there. I am thinking that this weekend I will get Isiah to carry out all the plants in the basement. Once they are out there I can prune them and fertilize them so they can grow nice and full. I did get a lot of things done yesterday including vacuuming and I also got out the Round up sprayer and hit all the little weeds starting in the iris. The Iris are still small and with the sprayer adjusted to a stream I can hit just the weeds and avoid the iris. I will wait a few days and see how it is going. The spray I used is left over form last fall so it may not be as good as it should be. I need to mix up another batch before then. I will keep on with my list today plus get the tanks ready for my trip to the doctors tomorrow. I also want to stop at the grocery if I feel like it. Dale called me last night and we talked a couple hours. He is coming up the 20th. That should be something to look forward to. We will hit some Green houses run by the Amish and the Mennonites. Years ago people would drive for miles because they were cheaper and had better plants but I don't think that is true anymore. Well, I hope everyone is enjoying good health and having a good day.

Home from the store. Went to one store for onions. Then to the other to get other fruits n veggies. Managed to spend 50.00. Carol like you say you don't get much for 50.00. I am going to have breakfast then try to get rid of some papers. My desk is running over. It is raining. My son took me to the store and carried my groceries in. He didn't have the baby today. Be back later. 🌻

Good morning. 52, going to 62, with sunny sky now, clouding over later, and winds in the 20 mph range, letting up tonight.
Adam doesn't feel good this morning, so won't be going to PT today. I have a pain in my left lower back. Feels like a kidney stone, but it doesn't seem to be moving, so maybe it is something else. Hoping it goes away.
I'm about ready for a nap. Hope everyone has a good day.

Just checking in. I worked on my crocheting yesterday afternoon, and hit it really hard after supper. Of the 8 granny rectangles, 4 colors each, I got 5 totally done. I only had 3 left to add the final color when I ran out of the dark green yarn and had to stop. I still have enough yarn to make the first to rounds of the final 8 rectangles, but not the greens. So, until I get to Hobby Lobby again this project is at a stand still and can't be finished.
I did have a new baby blanket project sitting there waiting, so I decided to start that. Yeah, big mistake. At 2 a.m. I stopped; that's when I realized the the majority of the work I had just done was not done correctly. I put it down and went to bed. It's already been totally ripped back to the beginning chains. I'll redo it again and make all my corrections. I had added extra foundation chains to make it wider, but it was actually too wide. I had also done two chains in my V stitch instead of one, so my working was actually starting to get wider. I had about 30 extra stitches in a row when I figured that out. Yeah, totally messed that up BIG TIME! I don't freak out when this happens. It's just the fact that I wasted 2 hours that I could have been in bed sleeping. LOL What I had done was pretty, but will be even prettier when done correctly. LOL
Talked to Valerie last night. She's dealing with aches and pains in her joints, and feeling crappy. I told her to talk to 'her people' and see what they suggest. Massages? Almond milk for calcium? Heat/Cold pack therapy? She can't take any NSAIDS with the meds she's on. Tylenol and something else was all they suggested. I told her to research her situation on Google.
Snow, All my prayers are being answered. I'll continue with the same prayers until further notice.
Nothing else going on here. I'll check back later.

More rain today and tomorrow and the next day too!! Enough when can we dry out? The grass needs cut but too wet. It will look like a hayfield before it can be cut!
DGD visited a mushroom grower and now she wants to grow mushrooms! The grower said there is a demand for them in this area. they grow best on Maple, oak or cottonwood. DSD said how do I find those trees when they don't have leaves? I have a tree I.D.bood that I let her use. Hope she can grow lot of them we eat lots of them.
Mary you sure do nice crochet work! Glad your dd is doing well.
Lair I can't imagine having that man plants to care for! If I could get in the greenhouse that's where I would like to be! Sitting in a nice warm place. I'm always cold!
Snow thanks for the update on DSIL sounds no bad news at this time and that's good news!

Refresher picture for the rectangle granny squares. I've been busy on the baby blanket. The color is totally off because it's actually called Minty. You can see the repeat pattern starting. I'm supposed to repeat the pattern 11 times. Supposedly it's supposed to be more of a girl blanket.

Snow, I may have read wrong about your DSIL but not good that the tumor is still there but now in a different location...am I right? So glad he has no symptoms but so sad he has the dang tumor at all! Prayers will continue!
I thought today was kind of productive but as I look back, maybe not! Got a set of sheets washed. I made two kinds of pretzels---dipped in bark and also ranch garlic ones. Took them to the hairdressers as they love them. My hairdresser is retiring after another week but they are not moving to Thailand until June 3 as they still have to sell their house. Her hubby retired the end of December. I still won't have her anymore! My perm looked good when she got done! She put a lot of hairspray on it so the wind would not destroy it.
I stopped at the SVdP store as it is near the hair shop and got rug for DGD...not as nice as the one I had seen before but I vacuumed the heck out of it and used a needle and thread to make a couple repairs. When this dang wind dies down tomorrow I will take the garden hose to it! Not too bad for $13 but probably could have done better at a G sale. It will serve the purpose I think!
We went for a sandwich over to 5 Brothers hamburger place..good flavor but expensive!
I talked to oldest DD for about 45 minutes. Her hubby's sister passed from cancer on Tuesday. Family only funeral. Her hubby quit his job but she thinks he was fired...kind of status quo for him! I hope one day soon she wakes up!
Also talked to DDIL today. She was home as they were getting a sprinkler system installed and the dog was going wild with strangers in her yard. Found out DGS's graduation from college is not until May 17 (I had been told May 12th) so I have more quilt time. Also their future DIL had an interview yesterday for a teaching job and they made her an offer but it was for 5th grade and she really wants 1st,2nd or 3rd grade. Plus she had to accept by noon today if she wanted it. She really didn't but if she did not have another offer she would have taken it. She asked what to do so our DDIL told her to call the school where she had an interview today at 1:30 and be honest with them and tell them about the other offer...she did, they said come in at 8:30 today for the interview. They offered her the job and she accepted that one as that is the school system she wanted to be in. So it was a happy day at their house!
That is about all I got done today...did not get any more quilt squares cut so have to do that tomorrow.
Lair, you were busy today. Glad your friend called.
MaryB, you seem to be okay with the crochet ripping out...I would be so disgusted to work 2 hours then have to undo it all! The block you showed looks good. Is it put together like you were laying bricks?
Wishing you all a good night!

Connie, The plan right now is to just crochet them together into rows, and then crochet the rows together, and put a border around the outside of the blanket. It's a first for me, so no real plan just yet. I have no clue when I'll get to La Crosse Hobby Lobby. To go to that store is an hour and twenty minute drive from here. It's not a trip I can just do for a couple skeins of yarn.
It only took me about 5 minutes to rip that all out. It was listed as a pattern for a 'beginner' (LOL) because it's all really easy stitches. Yeah, if you read it correctly, which I didn't. My only excuse was being tired. I'll take a different picture when I have some sunlight on it. Then it should show the Minty color.
