Must be another cat around, it seems that lightening doesn't mind the little white cat, but don't come in the garage. Today is Rays heart appt, but not until 3:30 so I can do some yard work as soon as done here. Will be going to the road again, and raking, wasn't too bad yesterday but today I;m planning on taking the blower out and see about the smaller stones. When done with that, will work somewhere in the yard. Need to do something every day I can. We have a few more errands to do so it will be a long day, pizza for supper as when I'm gone all day, I have decided I'm not doing supper, maybe not pizza , could be a sub. Yesterday did work by the road and got about half done. Moved things around on the sunporch and I'm done for now, not real happy, too many plants and one I so dislike, a big rubber tree, I think I will cut it back little by little, because Ray doesn't want me to do that. He likes the wild look. We got the taxes done, stopped and got some suet as the coon took the one I had down Monday night. Now I have to get into the habit of bring it in every night. I helped Ray move lots of stuff around in one of our shed's, he is a hoarder, I have decided I'm not keeping anymore peanut butter jars, coffee creamer containers, etc. All are going in re-cycling. I make some macaroni salad about 3 and then I put hot dogs on the grill, not doing what I have done in the past, easier dinners.
M/M, Another beautiful morning, as I have put the suet out already. I too didn't know some of my grandparents, only my Dad's mother. I'm Hazels great grandma, plus I have 2 others, don't see them as often as Hazel. Hope you have good veins for the blood draw.
Lair, We don't have to do something every day, my rest day is tomorrow, going to rain all day. I hope the cat didn't do anything in the back bedroom.
Leroy, Just keep posting, we aren't complaining. This way we know you are doing OK. We understand.
Carolyn, Busy busy, are you going away this weekend?
Linda, Glad the dust will be settled. Your tree should be OK, I have clay and seen trees, flowers standing in water and be OK. I bet the puddles have dried up already if not soon.
Grammy, Sorry more rain coming, we too have had a lot, but I think you more. Were the moon pies homemade? Yum. We didn't have total darkness but we were only 94%.
Mary, You are busy crocheting, do you hands get sore?
Connie, We learn the hard way, we snooze we lose. Feels good to do some yard work especially when DH helps. I want a Forsythia bush and burning bush. I love the yellow in the spring and the red in the fall.
Guess I'm done for now, take care

Good Morning. Today the sun is shining and we have 57 degrees headed to a high of 67 degrees. Tomorrow we will have some showers and I am hoping it will last all day and night. Yesterday was so nice out but I didn't go out much. I did go out a couple times but it was a reminder I was out there alone. I miss Brody running around checking everything out. I sure hope this missing him goes away soon. I did go down in the basement to prune Geraniums but after I did only 3 plants I was running out of enough air. I made it up the steps but had to stop a couple times then sat in my chair for 15 minutes when I got to the top. I ended up getting a brush and painting a bird house. I think it is the last old one so now I can start on finishing new ones. Only 2 of those started. Not sure what today has in store. I have trash to take out but may just wait till next week. They say rain later on today but doesn't sound like much, just clouds. I need to go and open the green house or it will be 90's before too long. You all have a good day.

Morning everyone. Well I guess we all survived the Solar Eclipse--I for one could have done without all the tv coverage--got real old real soon as far as I was concerned. Today is a semi-cloudy day but much better then yesterday. Supposed to get rain tomorrow so guess I may have to get the "rear in gear" and head out to the store today unless I want to run between the rain drops :). I think our high will be in the upper 60's today but no wind, it was 60's yesterday but very windy so not so nice feeling when outside. Lair so sorry about Brody, I am sure you will be looking for him for quite awhile--I know I did whenever I lost one of my "fur babies".
Tax season is upon us--ugh don't remind me. Of course this year I owe $$ so I'm pushing off sending the check until the last minute.
Carol I hope Ray's dr. appt goes well for him. No yard work for me. Ds last year had a lawn mowing service do the yard and I'm hoping he will have them or someone do it again this year. I need to get in touch with him and see if he's contacted anyone yet. I see a few of my neighbors have already had their lawn mowed.
Well this isn't getting anything accomplished and I did bring up a load of clean clothes I need to put away so guess I'd best talk myself into doing that before I decide to get groceries.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning. 56, going to 72, with mostly sunny sky and little wind right now. Supposed to pick up a little later on.
My sister and DH came to visit after PT. They stayed for a little over an hour. She had come down for a doctor appointment, then visited my DSIL in the assisted living facility. Was nice to see them again.
Nothing else going on here. I'm going to have Adam take a picture of a weed/flower at the end of the ramp. Whichever it is, it's kind of pretty right now. It smells like a weed, so it probably is.
Have a good day, everyone.

Good afternoon everyone. My âoowwieâ wrist turned out to be a very minor issue in the scheme of life. Good old-fashioned gout! If Iâd realized it at the beginning, it would be all gone. Iâve been getting gout for almost 30 years and never before gotten it in my wrists, but in my feet/ankles. Get it so often that the doctors suggested that I always have the medication at home with me. But guess what, I can now type with both index fingers, left and right! Iâll have to go back and read a few days, not been on the iPad much. DH has been doing quite a bit of cooking, so today, soup from the freezer and panini. Our old standby. Hope to be back more regularly, soon. Jan

Good Afternoon, Folks! Had another half inch of rain during the night and half expected to see ducks swimming around our tree this morning but were just some long legged blackbirds.Keith thinks our rabbit is munching on some of the leaves in our potted annuals.
Found a fellow to check out our computer and he will be here tomorrow. Were really spoiled by our last guy; he checked it out every 6 months or sooner if needed and this fellow said he would be glad to do that too. ATT came yesterday and did some tweaking and will have this guy do his magic. He laughed when I told him I learned to read and write with books and pencils and paper and now have a PC, Cell phone, and IPAd. Still have a landline too though!
Happy Hour here so time for my glass of wine! Hope everyone is having a good day.

Just checking in. Working on the granny rectangles. I have 2 done with 3 colors, and 6 that still need the first green. When I get those 6 done, it'll be 8 that need dark green, and then 24 will be done. I'm getting there slowly. I think I need 32. I saw where one person put a row of granny squares in between the rows of rectangles, but I couldn't find any patterns to make those squares to look like what I'm making. I'm still contemplating how I'm gonna join these. I'll worry about that when I get them done.
Well, off to make supper. It was nice out today, but I only went out for breakfast and that was it.

Linda, I rarely crochet to keep. I mostly make for gifts or to donate baby blankets to the church, or other charities. I found a box with yarn and a bunch of granny squares recently that I had started who knows when. I have absolutely NO memory of ever starting this project. We put the addition on our house in 2000. The box I found was in the storage closet of our then new bedroom. I didn't realize it was yarn; I thought it was old clothes.

Good day at the VA today. When I got home I still felt like I should go outside and do some raking. Funny how good you feel while sitting in an easy chair but actually raking is reality...hurt way more than my memory thought it would. We did get about 3/4 of the way down the west fence but I had to give it up. Lots of grass needs dug out etc. I am glad we got done what we did as tomorrow is to be strong wind gusts so most of it would blow around if we raked. Besides, tomorrow is get a perm day! Yippee but this is the last one I will be able to get from my wonderful hairdresser..at the end of this month they are making a permanent move to Thailand! Both their kids moved there and they say it is very inexpensive living and absolutely beautiful. I will really miss her!
I was so pooped after that raking attempt that we had braunschweiger sandwiches & chips for supper...very lazy but we like them!
Wishing all a good night!
