Dang it! I had a long post written commenting on everyone's post from yesterday and then I closed the wrong window. So to all you posters yesterday know you were thought of this morning. As I started typing the sun came out. What a beautiful sight after several days of cloudy. We were blessed with an inch of much needed rain Sunday. Yesterday I signed my taxes and miracle of miracle, I'm getting a refund on both my state and local taxes. As far as I know nothing had changed from the previous tax year. Exercise today and nothing planned after that. Be patient.

Good morning. 37 with a high of 57. Clouds now but shows sun later. That will be nice after 2 gloomy days. It did rain all day yesterday. It was mostly a light steady sprinkle with a couple bursts of heavier sprinkles. Needless to say dds game was postponed.
I decided to do some biking in the morning. I biked for 45 mins and incorporated some new resistance and sprints in to it. Listened to some podcasts so made the time go fast. After that I went to town for groceries. Of course there were usual chores of emptying the dishwasher, cleaning, watering and some transplanting. When dh got home it was just misting out so we got a 2 mile walk in before dinner.
I will probably go to the fleet store this morning for a few outdoor supplies. Probably too wet to work outside too much but I’ll find something. Theres never a shortage of things to do. Dd has her first game today at home at 4:30 so will head over there about 4. We have quite a few new girls so it will be interesting. We graduated only 2 but 2 others quit. We have 2 seniors and 4 seasoned juniors and everyone else is new or younger. Will be interesting any way! Our school is just big enough to offer lots of sports choices but not so big that the teams are stacked.
Karen-I’m glad you watched the eclipse. I watched live from Cleveland on tv and it looked perfect. Full cloud cover here and rain so not even a noticeable difference in light when it would have occurred. We were just partial but it still would have been cool.
Gayle-Thanks we try to be involved and help where we can. This is our last year doing the summer softball stuff. Dd doesn’t even play summer softball any more but does coach 8u and 10u. Dh coaches 6u but this will be his last year doing that. Also my last year running concessions tho we’ll help out at school ball one more year. Dh is learning how to ref soccer so will begin doing some of that. I need to keep him busy. Lol
I suppose I better get off the couch and get motivated for my day! Have a good one!

Good morning everyone. It is 40º and headed to possibly 60º later....although it's supposed to be cloudy and windy, but not horrible winds. It was cloudy here yesterday so the eclipse just made it look somewhat darker like a thunderstorm was moving in.
Work was exceptionally busy for a Monday. After work I filled my friends bird feeders and went to Phyllis for 1½ hours before getting home and melting into my chair.
This morning I clean for the lady minister. I usually go at 8, but I called her and said I couldn't come until 9 this morning. I'm patiently waiting for the coffee to kick in. There's only going to be a couple gals for lunch today since our local bank is having a Bingo trip for the VIP club which a couple of them belong to.
Melissa....thanks for opening. With all of the exercising you've been doing, you are in shape for Spring gardening once it happens. After this year, you won't know what to do with all of the extra time on your hands if you don't have sports to go to and help with.
Marlene....Nice that you thought of everyone even though technology interfered....lol. We also got 1 inch of rain Sunday and Sunday night....what a nice gift from Mother Nature!
Karen....More hugs to you. My heart breaks every time I read your posts as I know how difficult/stressful everything is for you right now. It's good you have your seedlings for some garden therapy.
I'd best get going even though the spirit isn't moving me too fast.
Happy Tuesday to all. Charlene

It is sunny and we are sitting on a pleasant 61°right now. I think we may get rain later on, but for now it is beautiful outside. Anything can happen/change with the weather, but in the 10-day forecast I only see 1 day with a high in the 50s. The rest are in the 60s and 70s. That will be so nice! Last night had another gaping hole in it. Sleep was hard to come by after my second potty break. I tried to turn off my brain by putting notes into my phone for what was on my mind so I could deal with that later. It probably worked? I ended up sleeping a little after that. So much on my mind lately and how to prioritize it all. This morning will first have me calling the auto insurance company and talking with someone about how to best deal with the car insurance. I can pay quarterly, but I get a discount if I pay for the year. Since I still plan to buy a new vehicle, I don't know if it is best that I pay for the quarter since the amount will change with a much newer car, or go ahead and get the discount now if the premium will transfer after we get something new. It's above my pay grade so I need to ask on that. Next up ought to be cleaning out the van so we can get it washed and looking as good as it can when we go meet with a salesperson I spoke with recently at a dealership in town. I thought that was a good idea since we've dealt with him before, but DBIL #1 said the guy didn't do them any favors on a car they bought from him. Nothing is easy to figure out these days. At some point, I WILL do more transplanting today. I really, really want all the seedlings in cell packs and trays. Life is just easier that way. Sorry about you losing your post, Marlene. I hate it when I close the wrong window and have to start over again. Nice that you will be getting a tax refund. Best wishes, Melissa, on your DD's season this year. With so many new players, that will be interesting to see how it plays out. It sounds like your sporting lives will change a little bit. Changes can be good. I hope it turns out that way for you and the family. Charlene, I appreciate your kind words and hugs. Life is very different now and navigating it is a challenge. I completely forget at times that you have 3 jobs that you are holding down. Kudos to you for that! I don't know how you do it. Guess we just do what we have to, right? You are inspiring. I'm happy to hear that you were able to see the eclipse, Mary. It was quite something, wasn't it? Guess I better call the insurance company so I can get that off my list and mind. Have a tremendous Tuesday!

Good morning. It was 33°here this morning and sunny. It is 40 already and to be in the low 60°today. Yesterday was a bear of a day at work. I had 3 jobs that took over 8 hours by the time they were finished. I never left the last store until 6 o'clock. Getting out of the parking lot I lucked out as a kind driver let me out. It was bumper to bumper traffic going south at that time. The drive home was fine until I got to town. It took me 15 minutes to go 2 miles and it was again bumper to bumper. I cross over I 87 when I turn onto my road and it was bumper to bumper south bound for as far as I could see on both sides of the overpass. I am between exit 26 and 27 and I doubt that you would have been able to get on from either entrance going south. I did get to see a little of the eclipse. I walked outside the store what is was about 1/4 covered and again right at the end the employees let me know it was almost total. I had the store to myself as all of the employees including the pharmacy were outside and there were no customers. I have decided to take the day off since it is to be so nice today. Unfortunately still not much I can do outside due to the snow but can work on the plants in the garage and maybe start cleaning my deck to get the greenhouse up next week. Hoping I can get DGD come help as it is difficult for me to do it alone.
Marlene, sorry you lost your post. It is always nice to get some sort of return on your taxes. I got a whole $7 back on my Federal and I think $23 on my state. Hardly a cup of coffee these days. Glad you got some much need rain.
Melissa, you and DH are taking quite a change up in your lives next year. Knowing you you will find something of interest to do to keep busy.
Charlene, you are certainly keep busy. Any chance you will be able to slow down come gardening time? I just can't make up my mind what I want to do this spring about planting etc.
Mary, sorry I can't send you some of our sunshine today. I too won't be around for the next eclipse I am afraid.
Karen, sounds like you have some nice temperatures coming up. Enjoy all the outside you can. It is a good relief for you. Your insurance should just transfer to the new vehicle and you will just be charge the pro rata increase for the insurance on it.
Have a great day.

Charlene-Enjoy lunch with your friends! Your weather sounds great.
Karen-Sorry about the hole in your night. I actually slept good last night and only got up once very briefly.
Marlene-Yay on the refunds! We have a hold up on our federal taxes but no idea what or why.
Dd does have one more year of HS left so plenty of activities yet ahead. We are just scaling back on what we do for the summer softball program since they don’t have enough girls willing to play at her age level so shes not even playing that. She is playing summer travel soccer so we will be in 3 travel tourneys for that. We’ll go from school softball, to summer soccer and our summer softball last year commitments to school soccer without much of a break in activities. I will miss watching dd play but not the extra commitments. I’ve been doing kids activities for over 25 years!

Good morning. It's cloudy and cool right now with a chance of pop up showers. I went out earlier to mail a birthday card to DS#2. Can't believe he turns 41 Friday. I've washed dishes and have laundry going but just sitting on the porch right now watching 2 of the kittens play in some of my daylilies. They aren't blooming yet but I have noticed flower shoots coming up on the foxgloves nearby. I think I'll plant my loofah in the pot by the porch today.

Good evening,
I guess with all the yard work & repairs I have to do this yr. evenings is going to be when you'll see me.. :)
We had a really nice day for a change, no rain & it got into the upper 70s this afternoon. No jacket or sweater needed.
I did another section of lawn reseeding, along with reg. chores; filing bird feeders & cleaning/filling their baths. I'm seeing a lot of finches, both purple & goldfinches. A couple of Red Bellied Woodpeckers & a few Blue Jays along with some Cardinals.
I tied up one of my clematis a little higher so it will twine around the trellis & after a little work on the lawn I went back to the slope for a couple hrs. Should be all done with it in about an hour tomorrow.
And while typing that I remembered I was supposed to dump the weed bucket into the stomp hole & completely forgot it. Oh well, trust me, there will be plenty more.
Tomorrow I will move on to the new bed down the side of the d'way by the roses. This is the one I made when the HOA said I had to get all the grass out of my d'way. I expanded the area where the roses are planted to make another bed because that area never was part of the d'way to start with. Now it needs to be planted. Yellow Bearded Iris from my brother's yard @ his old house & Purple Siberian from my backyard. They stopped blooming back there from there lack of sun I think. Didn't somebody say that was their school colors.
I never did catch up with Sue today. If I don't see her in the morning, I will leave the pot on her porch with a card.
Marlene & Karen, did you know there is a way to save your pages so you don't lose them? It's in your Profile section.
Karen, rereading my last post from yesterday I said maybe your husband was just having a bed spell. That was supposed to say BAD spell, but you probably knew that.
Well, back to it tomorrow. I hope everybody has had a good day

What a beautiful day we had today! It is still just above 70 at almost 8pm. Earlier in the day, it was pretty darn breezy. The chimes were going at it most of the morning. Once the wind calmed down, the weather was lovely. I surprised myself today and got a ton of stuff done even though I had little sleep last night. I worked on laundry throughout the day. I stripped and remade my bed in the process. That will make sleeping tonight nicer. Got all of my transplanting done and even sowed some sunflower seeds. I thought I was done after that, but I am not. I need to sow moonflower seeds after I can plant outside. DA raved about her flowers so much that I bought seed last year and proceeded to forget to plant them. Not this year. The kitchen got cleaned up to my liking. DH still has no interest in doing dishes, so I guess that is back on me. The big thing I did that I am very pleased that I did was cleaning out the van so when we go to the dealership to look at vehicles they get a good impression of the van for a trade-in value. At least as good as one can get with a van that is 19 years old. Tomorrow I am going to get it washed. I just finished watching Finding Your Roots. It was really good tonight. They solved family mysteries for 3 viewers who were among over 9,000 people who wanted their family stories explained. I have seen many times on social media that fans have asked why they don't help "regular" people, instead of just celebrities. Everyone's story is interesting so it was good to see these tonight, but I also enjoy the celebrity episodes because they are people too. For me, genealogy is all about the stories. Guess I better go turn on the post light and start winding down for the night. Fingers crossed that I can actually sleep tonight. Hope the day was good to everyone. G'night. I knew what you meant, Gayle. I do have my settings so I usually don't lose my posts. I was referring to other times and sites when I have multiple windows open and accidentally close the wrong one. I could relate to what happened to Marlene because I had just recently closed a wrong window and had to retrace where I had been before. I am envious of your goldfinches! They used to be here all the time. Now, all I seem to attract are house finches. They sing pretty also so I can be happy with them.
