Honeysuckle yesterday. We trimmed this honeysuckle bush last winter to around a foot from the ground. Something seems off with the count on views, I posted this about three minutes ago and it already shows 12 views.

Mary, it sure has grown. I should have taken a photo of a bush we saw at the zoo yesterday that we were trying to figure out. The blooms looked a lot like honeysuckle. The irises that I moved last fall are blooming now. Other than the early white ones I only have these purple and yellow ones. My friend/former coworker gave them to me years ago when we worked at the first company, Mayer Industries.

Wow Leslie, I have some Iris I haven't even planted yet. The funny story there is a lady posted on our community page that she had some yellow Iris to give away. I contacted her & turned out she had bought & was living in DB#1's old house. So I ended up with his Iris. But he says he doesn't remember any yellow ones. I should try to get those planted ASAP. If only the weather would cooperate.
Anyway, this is what I bought today as a TY gift for Sue for taking care of this same DB after his surgery.
Senetti Pericallis I thought it was pretty but never heard of it. Has anybody here ever had one?

Mary-Wow that has really grown back. Leslie-Oh so pretty. Makes me anxious to see mine. Gayle-Doesn't sound familiar but sure is pretty. Here are some of my shade coleus. I had 2- 4 packs but had several extra plants so decided to keep an additional 4. I did kull some but have 12 shade coleus now. Tried to get a variety now that they have some color showing.

I found out that plant is also called Cineraria, but never heard of that either.

Wow, Mary M., that is shocking growth! I am going to miss the fragrance of our honeysuckle, but it is the invasive kind that I just can't let grow again. It'll be a constant battle, but one I have to fight.
Pretty irises, Leslie. Purple and yellow are the school colors here so I might be a bit partial to that color scheme.
I have never heard either of those names before, Gayle. I do like that plant, though. It is nice of you to get that for Sue.
I think, Melissa, one of my favorite things about growing coleus from seed is seeing the leaves get their colors. I hope the cuttings I transplanted today get their color back after some time in the potting mix. If not, I won't do cuttings anymore and just start them from seed each year. I'm noticing colored stems on my celosia that I'm assuming will be telltale signs of the color of their blooms. It'll be fun to see if that is true.

Mary....wow...that honeysuckle has certainly bounded back....must have liked and needed the haircut. Leslie....Your iris are beautiful! I hope I get more iris blooms this year than I have the past 2 years. Gayle...I am sure she will love that lovely plant....new to me as well. Melissa...You have some healthy looking coleus seedlings. They will be pretty in your gardens or containers this summer. I see that my Naked Lady lilies are starting to grow.

Leslie, your irises are beautiful.
Gayle, love the color of those blooms.
Melissa, great start on your coleus plants.
Karen, it’s only the last couple of years I have noticed the fragrance on the honeysuckle.
Charlene, great to see the ladies growing I think some of my plants here have recovered from our frost.
Will be back shortly and post some photos from my niece’s family trip to Portugal.

Glad to see your naked ladies are doing their thing, Charlene. I've added them to my favorite cut flowers lists now.
Mary M., those Portugal photos are wonderful. Very enticing to me because the architecture is so spectacular!

Charlene-Greening up nicely. Mary-Wow! So cool for them. Colocha Coleus seedlings. I have another 4 pack in addition. They are a sun coleus and will turn more brown/red as they mature.

Mary, nice photo and trip. My niece went to Portugal during a trip to Spain in December to visit her youngest son who was an exchange student. They really enjoyed it. Love the coleus photos. Makes me was too buy some this year. Gayle, I know you've decided on your ground cover but thought I'd post this of an area with mine. The tiny yellow flower buds are forming now but it only blooms in the spring. The leaves are green all summer and turn a bronze color in the fall.

Mary those are really nice pictures
Melissa, nice healthy looking plants. I missed growing those this yr.
Leslie, my mind changes daily. Working out there today, there are still plenty of sundrops coming up & some of the creeping phlox is still there. And what looks like anemones that I planted yrs ago but they never did much. Also I have Rain Lilies that got scraped up from the back beds so I'm thinking of using those for fillers.
Speaking of scraping up, I think I think that is what happened to my Naked Ladies that Charlene sent me. They were doing really well & I was expecting blooms this yr. I'll dbl check but I don't remember seeing them .
However, although the falling tree took half of my Magnolia with it, the other half is blooming.

Melissa, your coleus are cute at this stage but will be gorgeous before we know it. I grew a variety last year and took cuttings (which I neglected until a couple of days ago) that were called Colocha Sunset. Love them! When I read 'colocha' in your post that got me thinking if that was what I grew. I checked and it seems like it is, unless there is a different colocha. I am so glad you posted these! I have in my notes to grow some for DH's aunt who lives next door and I forgot to do that. I am starting those for her tomorrow! Better late than never. Thanks for the nudge!
That sounds like a fun plant that gives seasonal colors, Leslie. Those are cool.
I'm so glad, Gayle, that you have some beauty coming from your bad experience with the magnolia getting mangled up. Very pretty!

Melissa, your Coleus plants are looking great. Leslie, what is the name of that ground cover? I have an area with some similar and they get tiny pink flowers. Gayle, I love the Magnolia blooms. More Portugal photos I was impressed with the cobblestone streets and the colorful buildings in their pictures.
