Melissa....do plants like that make you suspicious that it's a sales gimmick? It does me, but I could be wrong. Interesting they refer to it as a houseplant. Amazon has seeds for sale for this hosta.... I think it's nothing but photo shop.

Its real. The amazon one is definitely not real! Lol! I heard it on NPR this morning. They are using mushroom genetics if you read the article.
Bet-Like it or not without genetically modifying plants for the future there will not be enough food for the population. Not in my lifetime but perhaps by my grandchildrens.

Very interesting article. I imagine, like many new products after the test of time and cheaper cost to manufacture, the price will come down.
I've never had success with petunias. They get very leggy too fast. Between that and cost, I'll pass. That neighbor that moved had a plant that bloomed at night but not long enough to be obvious.
