Good morning, Carol. I'm just sitting here waiting for Adam to come up and feed me! 40, going to 60, with sun and then clouds today -or maybe the other way around. Can't tell by the weather thing. Will have to look out the front door, I guess.
Hope everyone has a good day. Tennis, and I don't know what else will fill the day.
Leroy

Leroy, I hope Adam gets up soon to feed you. Can you get a snack? I wait for Ray to get up, but I snack. Tennis is good for you. Do you watch volleyball, can't remember.
Been waiting to hear the weather, pretty slow this morning, but I missed the early report.
Will move on, we are going to a sale this morning, this is better then going to a Estate Sale in GR. This shouldn't be too far from here. I do try to please Ray he doesn't do what he did last year. He is failing fast. WE are doing a craft show the last Saturday in April, nothing too new to add. Yesterday we did nothing, but little jobs around the house, still doing the sunporch, keep moving things might have to call in Michelle, she does great at arrangeing things.
Lair, I have tried many times to keep M.W. geranium alive over the winter, only managed once to keep a little one alive. It is very hard to throw cuttings away, maybe you could put them out by the road and say FREE.
M/M, How do you fix the shrimp? More time for reading with only a fork and dish. Nice picture, lots to dust, LOL.
Carolyn, Thats one thing we all lose posts. Sorry.
Leroy, I bump into things, so you are going to have to be extra careful. Some meds have lots of side effects but we need to take them. I did see about the earthquake, pretty scary.
Linda, Great job on pointing out what vein to use. I have very good veins to draw blood from, got them from my DGM. How do you keep things clean with blowing dust. I went and looked at birds from Texas, we do have some of the same. Like red-wing-black birds, cardinals, robins, and more. I find that interesting.
Mary, Four colors will be pretty. I too have buds that dry up, not enough moisture?
Connie, Great deals at the sale, I think price have gone up at sales, but everything has. Green beans sound yummy.
Talk about things going up, here in Michigan eggs and chicken will rise in price, due to the bird flu. Crazy.
Its 32 and the high is to be 57, rain coming in for Sunday afternoon.
Have a wonderful Saturday.

Good Morning. The sun is out and it looks like a wonderful day. It is 45 now and going to the low 60's. Yesterday it was 98 in the greenhouse. Carol, putting the plants by the road would mean I am giving them away and I am not capable of doing that. I am a plant hoarder. today feels like it is going to be a lonely day. Yesterday was until I got busy with my seeds and I transplanted all my Tomatoes. I also transplanted my Dahlias. Just 2 of the 4 made it through the winter. Today I might see if I can get a table out to the deck and maybe next week take the geraniums out there and do the trimming. I am having trouble making plans because the weather keeps changing. I should know that by now because it has been the same for the last 78 years. I am always ready for spring weeks before winter goes away. Linda, I know a lot about finding veins. I have no blood veins in my arms so they always end up on the top of my hands or wrist. Even those are tough and hard to penetrate. Usually the third tech can find one. Painful. Well I best go and get the day started. You all have a good day.

Good Morning Folks! Wind is blowing like crazy here…..had to take the hummingbird feeder down before it flew off the chain. In answer to your question, Carol…handling the blowing dust is almost a daily chore! I love the little red headed finches. Don’t like the Starlings but watching them trying to eat at the suet cake is funny….upside down and they frequently just fall off that feeder. Have puttered around in the kitchen this morning but think we will get a Papa Murphy’s Pizza for dinner.
Lair, about the soft water for the plants……the head maintenance fellow was here yesterday and I asked him what other folks are doing. He said there is a fountain area that has untreated water and some people fill milk jugs for house plants. Also, for the cottages, there is an outdoor faucet on each one that carries untreated water. He said no one has asked him that before and there have been no complaints so he assumes it isn’t an issue. So, we’ll ll use the outdoor faucet. And the vein issue yesterday….always an issue on us “seniors” so was happy to point her to the right one. The veins in the hand are just not easy ones.
Plan to get some reading done today. Sure don’t care to go out in the wind and blowing dust. Hope everyone has a good day.

I spent the afternoon crocheting granny rectangles. I now have 8 done. I made the white centers for 4 rectangles, then put the yellow row around those 4, and then just repeated the same for each of the remaining 2 colors. I laid all 8 out side by side putting the narrow sides together, and that would make a blanket to 37" wide. Laying them this way would make the one wide row 10.5" tall. I'll need to repeat this 3 more times to make 24 more rectangles. Then, I can crochet them all together to create rows or panels. When that's done, I'll have to crochet some sort of a border around the outside. Hubby came in and asked who I was making this for. Nobody in particular, just making something with the many skeins from my yarn stash. I was also looking over the other baby blanket pattern I had picked out for 2 skeins of Red Heart Minty yarn that will get a white border. I think I have at least 3? blankets in my cupboard upstairs that I can donate or give away.
Valerie had her chemo/immunotherapy treatment yesterday. The last I knew they hadn't scheduled any appointments for her. She sent a picture of her chemo drug pole. She said they contacted her that they had scheduled 3 more treatments, 21 days apart, and then re-scan 2 weeks after that. Her tumors were half the original size when they did the scan 2 weeks ago, so prayers that they shrink more in the next 56 days.
It's been a warm couple of days so the only snow left are the bigger snow piles or stuff hidden on the north side of something and doesn't get sun.
I was looking at flower seeds and discovered I had saved some rhubarb seeds. I put them between paper towel and got them wet and covered them. If they grow, great for Bryan, if not, no loss.
Nothing else going on here.
