Morning, Chris! Have a good day! Our snow melted on the roads, etc. There's only a little white stuff on the grass. We enjoyed our slices of meat pie last night. The Cole slaw was good, too. We are meeting family at a restaurant in Norwood, MA. Looking forward to seeing folks, but I hate the drive getting there...all highway. Tonight we a just having soup that I pulled from the freezer. Enjoy your day, everyone! Waving!

Good morning everyone. Still here, reading, but can’t remember what I read last night. Getting bad. ‘Old age ain’t for sissies’ to quote Bette Davis. What happened to the text size? Closing, will try again later. Jan

Good morning on a chilly 45º start to the day. Mandy was quick and I was happy to not have to be out there very long. I don't like cold. High today of 70 and finally not as windy.
This morning I'll be heading to Fry's for the butter that is on sale. I hope to get 6 pounds this time. Maybe I'll find something to make for supper. I'll have eggs and toast for lunch. Then to the $tree for, gosh I hope I wrote it down. hehehe The porch will need a good cleaning after the horrible wind the last couple days, but by Monday the wind will return. Maybe today I'll get the cookies made. I need to get on the ball here. I'm a great procrastinator.

Good morning, kids. There has certainly been a lot going on the last few days.
Our little city is playing host to the Women's World Championship in hockey. USA won yesterday against Switzerland and Canada is playing Switzerland today. The USA is playing Chechnya today. It is so good to see women's teams getting recognition. The teams are getting a big welcome from us and it is sure giving the local economy a boost!
We did not feel the earthquake here but some people around us seemed to. Chris, I hope you finished cutting up the tree and have had no more odd weather events to intrude on your life. Have a good time at the drone competition.
We were sitting in our high-ceiling dining room yesterday chatting when the New York State alert came through about the earthquake on all our phones. There were only four of us but you should have heard the noise that made. On the highest volume and echoing. We weren't sure whether to get out of there or read the message. It was a warning to be alert to aftershocks. It is the first time I have ever received an emergency alert on my phone. It sure gets the heart pumping!
Both of the facility doctors came to see me yesterday to see how my jaw was coming. They agreed that if I need real surgery, they would be glad to find me a dental surgeon experienced in my problem. I expect the Specialist who did the procedure will have a suggestion as well. I see him on the 15th.
My Aide was just finishing up my shower this morning when she looked out the window and screamed. Just the head and neck of a Canada goose was showing looking in the window. A second one popped up moments later. I expect they are a pair looking for a place to nest. That would be interesting if they chose the base of the building right outside my window.
Have a good day everyone.
Birdy

It's a quiet day in the neighborhood, and a beautiful sunny day with blue skies and temps in the 60s. It was just perfect for the walk we participated in at the university -- a fundraiser for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Over 300 walkers and over $12,000 raised. 👍
Afterwards, they provided a hot dog lunch and then we decided to watch some of the lacrosse game that was going on. The game was new to me, although I have nephews who played in high school. However, the yelling from the parents was very similar to when DS1 was playing baseball at age 10-11!
Chris, hope you have fun. I know DGS & Dan will have a good time together.
Ann, nice to get together with family. Hopefully the traffic will be light when you are traveling.
Mamma, I'm bad about getting to the store and realizing I forgot my list. Eggs & toast sounds good -- I'm pretty fond of a fried egg or scrambled egg sandwich on toast.
Birdy, we are all excited about our South Carolina women's basketball team -- much more interest than in the men's Final Four right now. I am glad to see the ladies getting their share of attention. They are amazing athletes. Are the doctors still waiting for swelling to go down before they decide if you need surgery? I hope not but if so, at least you have some guidance.
Good afternoon, Helen! Comfy and cozy sounds like a good way to be.
Jan, hope you figured out the mysterious disappearing text.
I need to go practice a bit and then look through my kitchen cabinets. Our neighborhood yard sale is next Saturday and DH wants to sell some stuff.

Hello all, Chris, hope you had fun today. Bet you will sleep well tonight.
Ann, hope you enjoyed lunch out. I skipped lunch since we were short handed at the shop. DH got us a couple of burgers from the gas station down on the highway a few miles away. I just finished eating mine.
I'm planning sloppy joes for supper.
Mamma, I think we got all of your wind. It's 82 and super windy.
Birdy, that would be so cool if the geese nested below your window.
I was by myself in receiving, and enjoyed it. We did not have any new donations the first part of the day, so I concentrated on hanging up several plastic totes of summer things. I think there are still 3 totes in storage we need to get done.
Elza, hope you get your Mexican food fix soon!
Waving to all. I am going to join Helen in getting all comfy and cozy and just lazing the rest of the day away!

Good evening. I sure hope winter is over for us. It has not helped my mood at all. The last power outage was 12 hours making a total of about 13 1/2 Thursday. This time it did a job on my computer systems. Nothing is working right and I have spent most of my time since yesterday morning trying to get things back to normal. I did work today. Had a 4 1/2 hour job that I wanted to get done as I have 10 more that are that long or longer this month plus my normal weekly work. I may work again tomorrow. I still haven't shoveled the sidewalk. Even with the melt it is over 2' of hard backed snow.
Wishing everyone an enjoyable evening. I need an attitude adjustment before I feel like chatting.
Bet

Hi everyone. It's a beautiful day. Early this morning it was windy but it quit. I am going to happy hour tonight. It is at Cocos house every Saturday night. He makes margaritas. I will be bringing a wine cooler and I need to come up with something to put on my brie cheese. I have Ritz crackers. Bruce has ham and Bean Soup going. He doesn't do happy hours, lol.
Have a great evening. Elaine

Friends, good evening. I am now on my 3rd attempt to post this evening (not sure what is going on with this site, probably it's me); I'm pressed for time and will need to make this short. Made a small batch of Sloppy Joe's earlier today for our Disney trip. Afterwards I cut up a medley of fresh veggies for pasta Primavera which we enjoyed for our dinner this evening. DH and I are headed out the door---he needs a piece of wood from Home Depot, a Power Ball ticket from Publix for the drawing tonight, and then it's home to watch a movie. Waving to all and wishing you a nice evening. Lori
