Prompted by a conversation we had at Easter....
Do you wear perfume (cologne for men)?
Part 2 Do you wear deodorant?
I used to never leave home without putting on deodorant and perfume. Right now I seldom wear either. I cannot find a perfume that I like, but hope to find one to wear to DGD's wedding...any suggestions? So many are musky or patchouli scents that I do not care for on me or others. I like flowery, light scents (imagine me liking flower scents....lol)
During covid quarantine, I quit wearing deodorant and have never started again. I never sweat much except the back of my head and the hollow of my back and deodorant in my armpits doesn't help either. I was surprised that neither of my kids or their spouses wear deodorant and also none of my GKs. I guess none of us are heavy sweaters....or else we all stink....lol. Charlene

I use deodorant every day. Perfume I used to wear daily but then I got into gardening and the bee's & wasp liked the smell so I stopped. I think they like the smell of my creme rinse also. They chase me around every so often.
Charlene try Estee lauder Pleasure. It smells like lilacs and other flowers. It's the only bottle of perfume I have.

Yes to deodorant. No to perfume. Too many people are allergic to perfumes so I would not want to cause distress to anyone. I don't mind smelling perfume on others though.

Yes and yes.
Bath and Body Works has several floral and fruity fragrances. I like their lilac body mist.

Yes to deodorant...but it must be scentless. No to perfumes if I am with a patient(s). Many are not just allergic, but are susceptible to nausea from perfumes, etc. If it is a home-day or just roaming around I will, sometimes, dab a bit of perfume on. This also applies to scented soaps and shower gels.

Yes to deodorant. Occasionally to perfume. I have Japanese Cherry Blossom from Bath & Body Works. I never put it on my skin. I only put a spritz on my bra, and then it's covered by my clothes. I didn't know it until now, some people getting certain chemo and/or immunotherapies can develop a rash if they are exposed to too much perfume or things sprayed in the air, or things that give off a scent. It happened to Valerie, and the only thing we could come up with was the cinnamon sticks that Julie had bought specifically for her Christmas tree. It definitely was pungent.

Yes to deodorant.
I haven't wore perfume in years. When I worked we weren't allowed to so just quit buying it. Years ago I wore Oscar de la Renta.

Long ago I used to wear perfume but over the years I developed an allergy to them. I never wore a lot of perfume and stopped wearing it to work many years ago when a coworker told me the smell of perfume gave her headaches.
As for deodorant mine also needs to be unscented.

Yes, I have a crystal deodorant ball that I use and when we lived in Germany, I went to London on one of my Husband’s trips…love Crabtree and Evelyn’s Wisteria perfume and Penhaligon’s perfumes…especially the Bluebell that was Princess Di’s favorite and Orange Blossom.

Yes! No to perfume, DH can't take the smell he has COPD and I can't use hair spray in the house, I go outside to use it.
Remember Tabu perfume, some gals are still wearing it.

Yes to deodorant, no to perfume. I quit wearing the latter years ago when I was around people with lung issues. I'll be going to an outdoor wedding in June for Ethan's SO and her new fiance and they have on their invitations no perfume or cologne.

Yes to both. I would smell terrible without deodorant. I’m a sweater! Perfume I just use bath and body sprays mostly. They don’t last too long so thats my only complaint. I used to wear Guess, calvin klein eternity, and more recently pure grace by philosophy. I’m just too cheap to buy expensive stuff now. And Charlene I love musky smelling perfume. Lol

No to both for the most part. Not supposed to wear cologne at the VA as it might nauseate some who are sick or had surgery. I quit with the deodorant several years ago. I no longer sweat in the armpit area. If I sweat it is in my hair and cannot put deodorant there.
