Good Morning, Another cloudy windy rainy cold day, maybe some snow. Its 35 and high should be about 44. Strange we had April weather in February. In 1957 we had a F? tornado go over our house, I wasn't very old but I remember. It was hugh, black and very loud, many deaths and lots of damage. Today I plan on cleaning the upstairs bathroom, and dust our bedroom. I might run the shark on the rugs in the kitchen. I have a coffee table in the garage that needs to be cleaned up. We sold our big table and chairs up at KOT, so we need to fill in that area. $$$.$$ such good news. Yesterday not a lot got done, ended up watching a marathon of Chicago Fire, from 2013 many I didn't see.
Lair, So hard to pack those things away, but know its done. I have never made a carrot cake.
Grammy, Thanks for the update on your house. I do know where Columbus is. Did you get the storms?
Carolyn, So easy now days to spend a lot of money. Is the mucinex working?
Mary, Nice to share the rag rugs.
Leroy, Will have to look for the movie "Enemy". Is it a old movie?
Connie, Over sleeping is rough, seems like we are always behind. How many more blocks to do?
Guess that is it have a great day.

Good morning Our little berg was hit by a tornado about 5:30 yesterday evening. We didn't get damage except a tree fell across the power lines at DS house. I heard the train sound of it and Sam actually seen it. Our little town of Sunbright has a lot of damage. Thank God there was no fatalities. When the winds had died down a bit I went to my back porch to see anything had hit. Immediately Sam was at my front door. So I am at his place. We were without power until early this morning. But, by the grace of God we are all well. Our downtown is hard hit n the highway just opened this morning. The highway that runs through here is a state highway. Hope everyone is doing well. DS is cooking us some breakfast.

Good Morning. Well, I look out and see Winter has returned, everything is white and with 40-50 mph winds, all the vertical surfaces are covered but it is 32 so will not stay long. I was wrong, the carrot cake is wonderful. I just had not put on the cool whip yet. Not much planned for today except shower and all that stuff. I just remembered I have not mentioned how much better my eyes are with the eye drops I started 2 weeks ago and the new prescription glasses. I am seeing so much better. I am seeing wrinkles that are so much bigger than I ever had before. It is interesting watching the different patterns they have from morning until night. Not a good look but interesting. I always said that when I got wrinkles I would get a face lift but now the time has come it doesn't seem all that important. At my age I am not impressing anyone. Carolyn, I'm so glad you are OK and none of your family was hurt. Those twisters are scary. I hope the rest of you are getting spring weather but from looking at the news, it looks like not many are. I best get moving. You all have a good day.

Not a good morning, but no choices to be made. We have at least 6" of snow out there. We gotta clean just to walk and move. I guess the ground will eventually get the water it so desperately needs. The snow slid off the neighbor's garage roof and landed on Cheri's daffodils. I will guess that most of them are damaged. I still think March went out like a hissing, spitting baby tiger, but April came in like a full grown mountain lion. If we're lucky, we'll get seven more Sundays of rain. I covered enough saying there, so gonna go shovel some snow.

Carolyn. Glad everyone is safe. How scary that is. Yes they are loud. I didn't watch the weather channel this morning so I didn't know. Take care.

Good morning. 38, going to 53, with partly sunny sky. Wind about 20 mph most of the day.
Carolyn, glad you are safe, and get power back soon.
Lair, I don't worry about the wrinkles, either. Nobody to see them except PT and doctors.
Carol, that was a good sale on the table and chairs.
Not much going on here. Have a good day.

Good afternoon everyone. Sunny and 70° here today. The starlings were not very happy when the suet cake ran out of food for them. But the little Texas birds are very happy to have the safflower cylinder feeder to themselves. put our hummingbird feeder out this morning….hope they find it soon.
Got my perm yesterday so great to have curls again. There is a beauty shop here in the facility but I’ve decided to stay with the gal I have used for years.
Carol, Keith finished the puzzle yesterday….really a cute one….little boy and girl on bicycles, kissing. The little girl looks just like my youngest sister did when she was little. Quiet day here.

good afternoon,
first of all, Carolyn, thank goodness you and your family were not hit by that tornado! Close call there. too close for comfort!
Lair, Happy birthday to you!I know you are missing your little buddy so much but I hope you are having some happy moments here on your birthday! How old are you today! Nosy me. I have a good idea but would like to really know, you know! And Linda has a new perm and is all beautiful again!
Jan, sorry you cannot use one hand. I hope it is usable again soon, like tomorrow!
Hi Leroy!
My grandson, Mike is coming for supper tonight. We are having bean soup. Sliced tomatoes and I made devilled eggs. Normally it would just be the soup but Lora sent me two nice big tomatoes along with the Easter dinner and I need to use them.I boiled the eggs yesterday and I know Mike will help eat them up. He sure has the appetite.
Dave and I will have bean soup for lunch tomorrow.
Grand daughter, Molly is in Brazil this week. she has the most wonderful job and of course she knows that and she loves it! And is very thankful for it!
Carol, was it that dropleaf maple table that you sold?
Mary, I have not been out around to the side of my house to see how my daffodils are doing. I hope they re not all gone by the time I get there!
Not much to write about but that is good!

I had to laugh at Bonnie eating her supper tonight. I mixed bean soup in with her kibble. she took each bean out, licked off the soup part, put each one on the floor. Eight beans on the floor. After she ate all of the kibble, she ate each bean. silly little girl!

With MaryinMi talking about Bonnie picking out the beans it made me think about what happened with Trixie this past weekend. Apparently when Bryan was cooking the pork loin out in the garage, a small piece dropped on the floor. He forgot to pick it up right away. When Trixie came out to the garage later, she smelled it and quickly ate it up. OH CRAP! She came in the house and started throwing up, and I mean multiple times. Bryan knew right away what was up when Julie told him she was throwing up. The pork loin spice had garlic in it. I didn't know that garlic, onion, and leeks are toxic for dogs, and if they get too much can be deadly. She eventually seemed better, but I think she threw up at least 5 times.
The suns been out and snow is melting. It snowed for 24 hours here. I think 6" was about right for a guess. I just hope it all soaks in.
Well, I have to come up with supper. I did nothing today.

Good evening, well I made it through another birthday. This being the 78th one I have had a lot of practice. But at 78 I have no idea how much I have forgotten. I had a nice day with lots of phone calls and well wishers. Thanks for all the wishes here on the board. I am still expecting a call from my friend Dale. We did talk twice on Sunday and I am thinking he is coming up this weekend or next. Depends on weather because he wants to tale me shopping at the local greenhouses. My neighbor lady, Wanda, brought over a pork chop dinner with potatoes and a rich pork gravy. topped off with peas. Tasted great and was so nice of her. I best get back to my Chicago shows for this evening. See all of you in the morning.

Windy here today. I think it rained last night as my windshield had rain drops on it this morning. I got a potholder done and took all out to LOMB this evening.
I did sew on the quilt blocks and finished 8 more...that was all the fabric that I had cut so the last color is done...38 blocks total of them. They are to finish at 6 inches square so that is why it takes so many. for a 96 x 96 quilt will require 256 (I think I will do 90 x 96)With the way I sew it will most likely be smaller. Carol, I still need 109 so at least 3 more colors and maybe then some. If I am still behind after next week, I will take 2 weeks off from the VA. Tomorrow will be block cutting day! UGH
Happy Birthday Lair! Your dinner sounds good!
Carolyn, so sorry you got hit by the tornado. Glad you and your family are safe!
MaryB & Lair, sorry the moisture you got was in the form of snow...rain would have been much preferred. Our trees are leafing out and there are some with all white blooms that are flowering right now.
Jan, hope your hand is better real soon!
MaryinMichigan, your granddaughter really gets to travel the world! Maybe Bonnie saved the best for last! LOL
Off to bed with me and hope to get at the quilt etc earlier tomorrow. Good night!
