I hadn't heard there was more snow expected up north. Doesn't seem fair, really. Rainy here but warm. I'm just up to the usual here. I wasn't sure if we'd have garbage collection today. Finally, neighbors began bringing out their bins last night so then I did, too. I'm planning chicken and noodles for tonite. Wondering if it all might be improved with some chicken gravy. Can't say I've ever had anything that wasn't improved with gravy. Well, there was that one time (new bride)I'd made a very small pork roast. Added water to practically no drippings and some flour. Nasty. Enjoy your day!

Bet, it's not so much school buses as backups at an intersection near us, and school zones with 25 MPH limits when school is taking in and letting out.
Angel Biscuits are kind of a mix of a yeast roll and a biscuit. It's a recipe my mother liked and I do too -- easy to make the dough ahead and then shape & bake later. I'll post the recipe.

Good sunny afternoon. Mamma, would be nice if painters started this afternoon, but I know how much you’ll be happy and it’s finally finished. Have fun redecorating. Lori, I have to warn you, rutabagas smell (like turnip or cabbage) while they are cooking. Taste much better than they smell. Make sure you turn on the stove ventilation fan, and light a candle too. Weebill, hope the budget meeting wasn’t too stressful. Having baked spaghetti from the freezer. I’m making focaccia to go with. Just about ready for me to top it and bake. Probably won’t be here tomorrow morning as DH wants to go to Vernon, maybe Salmon Arm if I’m not too tired. We leave fairly early so as to get home not too late. Bye for now, Jan

Have fun tomorrow Jan. Ann, hope it was a good trip to the Baldwin for you today. Glad the Easter services went well yesterday Elza and then a relaxing afternoon. Thanks for sharing your angel biscuit recipe. Hope it was a good day at work Bet. Get it all done before the snow arrives. I love rutabaga Jan but rarely cook it as hubby won't touch it. I buy one occasionally and cook the whole thing and then freeze it in one person portions and when I fancy some, I pull it out and reheat. Bingo! I'll bet Dan enjoyed his scalloped potatoes - what a treat. Were the painters able to start today mamma? I'm sure you'll be happy when they are done and you have everything back where it belongs. Shrimp sounds good with the leftover salads Lori - enjoy! Hope the budget meeting went well Elaine - not the most fun thing to do. I agree wholeheartedly Helen - gravy is a wonderful thing!
I'm going to make a quick Chicken parmesan for supper tonight. Didn't make it into the kitchen so far today so I doubt I'll get any baking done - maybe later in the week. Spent a chunk of the morning watching the curling on tv from Switzerland, then got in to catching up on banking, only to find out that one of my bank cards expired yesterday!!! So went to the bank, got a new card and came back and finished that all off. Tomorrow, it's a canning day - yipee! Time to go start on supper.
