Good morning! Happy April! Showers will predominate our weather this week with a big storm predicted for Wednesday and Thursday. Soup for supper was good. Tonight we are having Bill's meat pie and a side salad. Will be going to the senior center for walkaerobics and Curtis. When we get home, we will have a few hours before we have to head up to Londonderry for our Baldwin 'walk through' of our apartment. Will be wielding a tape measure on walls, in cabinets, etc. Planning on taking a bunch of pictures. Exciting times!! Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Wow Ann- So exciting for you today! I hope all goes well. We are supposed to get another 18" of snow out of this storm on Wednesday. The snow from last week is pretty much all melted.
Nothing really planned for today but some sewing. I want to get that binding on the frog quilt so I can submit it for Billings Farm quilt show.

Good morning. 34 heading to 52 here today with a fair amount of sun. But like everyone else, rain is coming, maybe not 'til Wednesday. Ann, what an exciting Monday for you. Hope everything is what you're looking for at the Baldwin today. The countdown really is on now. Do you have a move in date yet? Enjoy a day at home Chris - will you post a picture of your frog quilt - it sounds adorable. Not quite sure what direction my day will take. The condo could badly do with some dusting etc. 2 months, even with no-one here and the dust kept coming. But I also heard last night that yet another friend's husband passed away on Saturday. I believe family are there at the moment but the wife just had a knee replacement late in January so I'm not sure just how mobile she is. I do know that at least one of her son's can work from home so he may be able to stay here and help her. I would also like to get back into the kitchen and do some baking, the rest of the unpacking is unpacked but not put away yet so I have lots of options for the day. Wishing you all a marvellous Monday!

April already! We had a lovely warm Easter Sunday, and another warm day today, but like others -- rain and maybe storms coming in midweek, followed by cooler temps.
Our Easter services at church were wonderful, and we enjoyed the breakfast provided between the Sunrise and regular morning service. When we got home, though, I was ready to crash. Our Easter dinner was fried chicken and potato salad from Publix, along with green beans, carrot salad, and biscuits left from our Thursday evening dinner. For dessert I'd picked up a mini lemon meringue pie -- perfect! We talked to both our sons -- DS2 in England had enjoyed dinner with friends from church, and is looking forward to attending a football game tomorrow with friends. DS1 had a very busy weekend, but had only one mass left on Sunday evening. Then he's taking today and tomorrow off. Later on, a college friend called and we had a good catch-up talk with him. So a very nice day all around.
Back to work today -- schools are on spring break this week so that will help my commute. I'm thinking about what to have tonight. Lots of options in the freezer so I'm sure something will come to me.
Ann, I'm excited for your walk-through and I know y'all are too. Chris, I'm with Tasty -- that frog quilt sounds interesting.

Good morning. It was 30°here this morning with snow showers starting any time. High in the mid 50's. However the sun is trying to break through here. I have to work today and tomorrow as starting Wednesday we have another big snow storm moving in. We could get 18" or more of heavy wet snow again. This weather is crazy.
Ann, you must be very excited about your walk through today.
Tasty, sounds like your vacation is definitely over with everything that needs attending when you get back home. Sorry to read of the loss of another friend.
Chris, glad to have a day to relax and do what ever you want.
Elza, I take it you hit a lot of school buses on your way to work. I think it was you that mentioned making Angel Rolls. What is their texture like? Is it like a baking powder biscuit or more like a yeast dinner roll?
Just waiting for the clothes to dry so I can get ready for work. I thought they were dry yesterday but it was an extra big load so guess not.
Have a great day.
Bet

Good morning everyone. Ann, exciting times. Enjoy your walk through of your new apartment. Chris, no more snow. Enough already. Enjoy your day of rest. I’d love to see a picture of the frog quilt. Tasty, rain in the forecast for the coming week here too. Later on, I think. Hope so, DH is talking about going to Vernon, Salmon Arm tomorrow. We’ll see how that pans out. I’m sorry to hear you’ve lost another friend. Emr, an enjoyable Easter service. Can’t ask for anything better than that. A nice start to the day. Bet, hope all goes smoothly at work and you finish in a timely manner. Well, ended up just the 2 of us. Our friend had a friend come over, so she was not alone. She also went out for dinner on Saturday night with another friend. She had lost her husband a few months ago. The rutabaga was delicious last night, but only one problem. Didn’t realize how long it would take to cook, so we were a bit late eating. Made it as Ann suggested, butter, salt and pepper. Yum. Also realized at the last minute that I didn’t have the right kind of potato for scalloped. Had new potatoes so just scrubbed them and steamed them. Did say I would take the day as it comes, didn’t I? Back later, coffee’s ready. Jan

Good morning. Out and back from a chilly ride to the pet area. Now for the second cup of coffee.
This afternoon, if the painters finish their previous job they could come here and get started. If not tomorrow morning bright and early. I wonder how many days it will take? Will the second coat have to be put on a day after the first coat? I would think so but really don't know paint these days. My cousin mentioned how much fun I'll have putting things back and reorganizing. LOL, leave it to her to mention my enjoyment of organizing. I had not looked at it that way. I just look at the mess in this room and fret......4 rooms all smashed into one......
A trip to the bank is the only thing on my list unless I have to finish taking curtains down today.

Good Monday morning to you! As per our morning news, today begins National Bake Week and today is National Sourdough Bread Day.
Getting ready to enjoy a bike ride this morning. Currently a bright and sunny 73* and a tad humid, but Tuesday and Wednesday the humidity will be even higher, so biking outside today, inside the next couple of days. Rain is going to possibly be in the forecast here as well on Wednesday afternoon/evening.
Ann, enjoy the Baldwin walk-thru today!
Chris, happy sewing! The frog quilt sounds interesting, and we are all looking forward to pictures.
Tasty, so sorry for the loss of yet another friend. Hope you can kick-off National Bake Week today in your kitchen.
Bet, home you can complete your work today and tomorrow before that snow is supposed to arrive on Wednesday. I bet you're looking forward to the end of this winter cold/snow and spring arriving in your area once and for all. Be safe on the roads.
Elza, sounds like your Easter Sunday was a very pleasant one between church services, dinner, and talking with both of your DS's.
Jan, I'm not sure if I've ever had rutabaga to eat before or not, if so, it had to be when I was very young. I would like to give it a try some time in the future.
I've got a box of Sea Pac frozen, breaded shrimp in the freezer. DH said it sounds like it would be good with the assortment of leftovers salads from yesterday, so looks as if that will be dinner. Waving to all! Lori

Chris, LOL!! I can close my eyes and see Dan sitting in front of the oven just waiting for his potatoes! I can also hear him wondering aloud what has gotten into her after 44 years. God Bless You, to make your sweet Dan his favorite potatoes! I hope he enjoys every bite!! Lori

Good morning. Its a damp one. We had rain until about 11 last night. Dh went up and cleaned off the shuffleboards,, got home at midnight. Lol, he wants to play today,me not so much.
I have a budget meeting at 11,so even if my games isn't done I have to leave. I am not looking forward to it sine our president is the one who told my sister Shar that our sister Delores couldn't come to our potluck yesterday as she wasn't staying with her.
Ann- exciting times ahead.
Chris- is that the same frog material you used before?
Elza- glad your church service went well. My seat was damp from the rain and it was cold.
Tasty- so what did you choose to do?
