Good morning! It's still raining lightly, but we did not get the pouring rains predicted. It's 43° and should get warmer. Supper was good last night. Tonight we're finishing pizza that I had in the freezer. Going grocery shopping as usual today. More packing, sorting, and throwing today!! Congress is considering reclassifying the potato as a grain instead of a vegetable. Important work, no? Here's an article from my daily Smithsonian email about the Faberge egg you might find interesting. www.smithsonianmag.com/travel/where-you-can-see-fabled-imperial-russia-faberge-eggs-180954863/ Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning friends.
Ann- The potato as a grain?? What next? I know, the rutabaga as a fruit? It could happen, poor little misunderstood rutabaga. That was interesting about the Faberge eggs.
I will be in Criminal Justice all day today. Yesterday was a very tiring day. We were short one student and so I had to be a waitress! LOL Haven't done that in a long time! Wow! My feet are so tired! I had 8 tables and I think I did okay. Didn't drop anything anyway! LOL

Good morning, everyone. The sun is shining for the moment but I guess we will be getting a light rain later and perhaps a few snowflakes overnight. Nothing that will stick around though.
Congress needs to okay classifying the potato as a grain?! Considering how effective they have been so far this year I doubt it'll happen. What is the definition of a grain anyway? LOL!
I am feeling very satisfied since I just e-filed my federal and state taxes. I used Turbo Tax which makes it almost easy but this year I didn't have my paperwork at hand and had to look up a lot of information on online accounts. I hate that because they make you jump through hoops to get onto these sites. I appreciate the security but it sure is a challenge when your hands don't work 100%!
Not much to report here today. It is fairly quiet. I thought I saw an unusually large bird on a tree outside my window this morning while my aide was helping me dress. I asked her to raise blind and take a look and she reported that it was a crow. I am saying in my defense that my perspective was off. She got a good laugh out of it anyway.
Have a wonderful day everybody. Talk later.
Birdy

Good Friday morning to all.
Out and back home. Such a beautiful morning of bright sunshine, and 58º this morning. Nothing planned for today. Last night I took things off of the walls and emptied Marks closet as I still call it. I'm done now until I hear from the painter. I have my side of the closet left to empty and take down all the curtains. That won't take too long.
Last night I learned that Patty and Mike will be gone all summer. They are going to visit with family and friends while waiting for their last grandchild to be born. I will miss them so very very very much. :'( They haven't been back there for 5 years now. I do understand the visit, it just makes me sad and lonely.
Left over pizza for lunch here, Ann. Supper will be a sandwich and fruit. Another warm day so I don't want to cook much. LOL, when do I ever want to cook anymore? Time for one more cup of coffee and get to changing sheets.

Good morning. All of a sudden my phone makes a noise with each letter I type. It's loud, lol. I am sitting waiting for the Dr.
We had breakfast at Jimmy KS, I had eggs, hashbrowns and toast.
Tonight I am making a chicken pot pie.

I've been tidying up and cooking today. Sloppy Joes and lima beans are done and cooling. I eat my lima beans like soup so I guess you could say there's Soup and a Sandwich for supper. Sorry your friends are leaving for the summer, Mamma. Hugs to you. Bet, I still think of you even when you can't post. Wish I could lessen your load. Birdy, how did you do your own taxes online with both hands out of commission? I got into all kinds of trouble trying to do mine online. Just ask my DD! It's sunny and 77 today. Sunday 80 degrees. Short spring here. Enjoy your holiday weekend. Hugs

After cleaning this morning, working this afternoon, and playing for Good Friday service this evening, I am chilling on the sofa at home while DH fixes chili dogs for our supper. It's been a long week and I am looking forward to doing as little as possible tomorrow!

Hi there! Here I am, better late than never! It's been a long and busy day... Had to be downtown at the cardiologist's office by 9:15 for a 9:45 appointment. This was my annual checkup; all is well, and I don't need to see him until next March. Then we stopped and got our hairs cut, went to mail some bills at the post office, went to the Amish Farm Market, Costco for gas, and finally our last stop was Publix. Once I got home I made potato salad, marinated cucumbers, and a cauliflower and olive salad, all for Sunday. Waiting for attention on the counter were all the fruits and veggies I needed to wash and refrigerate. Didn't think I'd ever see the end of that!
Dinner time...we had a frozen pizza from Costco what was the best frozen pizza we ever have had---Detroit style. Cleaned up the kitchen again, turned on the dishwasher, turned on the washing machine, and had to put together Lilith's Easter basket. Going to crash now and will finish what didn't get done today tomorrow morning---have already set the alarm for a 6AM wake up.
Waving to everyone and wishing you a peaceful evening. Lori

Sounds like everyone has had a busy day. We got home about 5.30, got the car unloaded and now everything is unpacked and almost nothing has been put away 😲 . Most of it will probably wait until Sunday. Tomorrow morning we badly need to hit the grocery store. In the afternoon we have a celebration of life to attend (the reason we came home early) and in the evening we are going out with friends to celebrate his birthday. Plus of course, there is some laundry that needs to be looked after.
