Good morning! It's quite warm this morning at 48°. Going to be a rainy day with over 2 inches predicted for this area. Turkey dinner hit the spot last night. I used my pressure skillet to cook the thighs with a mire poix, herbs, and a chicken/wine broth. I defatted the cooking liquid and made gravy. Tonight we are having a plant based burger with sweet potato and broccoli. Bill finally has his PCP doctor's appointment about his sore, swollen ankle. Despite going to urgent care and his cardiologist, he's still waiting for a diagnosis. Not going to the senior center so will keep on working on sorting stuff. Enjoy your morning! Back later! Waving!

Good morning friends.
Ann- I hope the PCP can figure out what is wrong with Bill's ankle. I made meatloaf last night. For some reason I had a craving all day for it. I did not have hamburger thawed out so stopped and pick up a pound and made it when I got home. Hit the spot.
So today I am half Criminal Justice and half Culinary. LOL Tomorrow all Criminal Justice again.

Good morning. It's a balmy 48 in Roanoke at 6.30. At home it's cooler at 36, heading for 45 this afternoon and in Pennsylvania where we are headed today it is 42 and heading to 45. Maybe time to abandon the t-shirts for a while! I must say a turkey dinner sounds good Ann and that might just be on the menu at home one of these coming days. You're being kept busy at school Chris. Waving 👋.

Yes, safe travels to Tasty & DH today. I hope the rain will stay far away.
Ann, also hoping for some answers for your hubby. It's frustrating when you can't get the information you need.
Chris, those are two very different subjects so should be an interesting day for you.
Looks like we will have a nice sunny day with highs near 70 today, and getting warmer through the weekend. Happy Thursday to everyone ~

Good morning everyone. Ann, sure hope they can find some answers to DH’s ankle. Funny the others had no answers for him. Chris, whatcha cooking in Culinary? Nosy me. A safe drive today, Tasty. You’re almost home. Emr, 35* here right now at 6:30. 50% forecast for rain, going up to 55* later. Baked spaghetti was good last night. Have enough for another meal. Went good with the focaccia DD1 brought wth her when she came on Tuesday. She’d just taken it out of the oven. Still planning on ribs in the crockpot, unless DH has other plans for the day. We’ll see. That’s it for now. Jan

Good morning. It's cloudy here right now and cool but no chance of rain or the S word today. That's fine with me.
Jan, I sure wish I had someone bringing me fresh focaccia. I love the stuff.
Tasty, safe travels home.
I'm having some issues with Amazon. This is the first I've had a problem. Apparently they shipped two items in the same package according to them. But when I got the report of the delivery, it showed both of them coming individually through USPS. One of them never showed up and it is not at the main desk here. Besides, the delivery time was earlier than the facility opens up.
So I went to Amazon to report the missing item. The spot where I wanted to do it didn't have the right choices for the situation so I went on to their chat. There I was told that they would replace the item and if the original one did show up, I could take it to Kohl's with no charge. So imagine my surprise when I got an email today telling me that if I did not return the first item within a certain time, my credit card would be charged for it. Wait a minute! That's not what I was told. So now I've got to try to straighten this out today. Luckily it wasn't a high priced item but still.
So aside from a few small chores that is what is going to be my day.
Have a good day everyone.
Birdy

Good morning.
Out and back home. Another day of Mandy just staring into outer space. That sets my day off to a not so good start. But life goes on in the ghetto. hehehe
This morning I sent a message to the painter to give me a day or two to get things moved off of the walls etc. I'll need help with a lot of it. My body is not in the shape it was two years ago. But it's in pretty good shape for the shape it's in. It could always be worse and I am thankful that it is not. I'm so excited to get it all done and back in order. The disarray will drive me nuts but I'll think of the end result to make it worthwhile. :)
The washer is running and shortly I'll make another batch of cookies, for the freezer this time. Nothing else planned. Oh, I will have to move my house plants back inside later today because the wind will get a bit wild over night through tomorrow.
Oh dear another day to try and figure out what to make for meals. Last night I stopped at BK after my haircut. I got a Whopper meal, large, for only $8 with my coupon. Win win. I always ask for no salt on the fries and no mustard on the burger and they got it right this time. Happy Cindy. But later that night I really got heartburn, even though I took off the onions. Oh well, it was still such a treat.
Some time today I need to ask Mike and Patty if I can borrow a folding table. I'll have a lot of things to take down or move and will need another table.

Hello to all! I had almost finished a rather long post earlier and then it disappeared. Unfortunately, I do not have the time right now to repost all that I had, so I'll just give you a smaller version... Elza, enjoy your supper club this evening---the carrot salad and biscuits will go great with the porcupine meatballs. mamma, I see that for now the move is off and instead you;re looking at repainting some rooms. I thinks a nice light shade of any color will not only brighten up your place, but also lift your spirits. Tasty safe travels as you continue north. Elaine, hope the AM doctor appointment goes well today. I have to say that I was disappointed and sad to read yesterday about the social club president not allowing your DS and her DH not join the Easter dinner group. How rotten. Birdy, awhile back we had the same exact problem with Amazon that you are currently having. The 2nd item never showed up, we weren't pleased as it was a costly item but it turned out well in the end. Wishing you luck today as you take charge of the matter. Ann, hope with the doctor appointment today that Bill will finally get some answers. Jan, spaghetti pie sounds really yummy. Can you share your recipe? Need to run to Ollie's and/or a bookstore to find an Easter book for Lilith. Dinner tonight shows how "not" in the mood I am to cook today. I took a container of soup from the freezer and with it we'll have open-faced tuna sandwiches on English muffin halves. I was going to make something with chicken breasts that I picked up on sale yesterday, but DH threw them into the freezer, so that will maybe be something for dinner tomorrow. Waving to all and wishing you a beautiful day! Lori

Afternoon (almost)! So far the pouring rain has not materialized; it's just raining lightly. Bill get diagnosed with plantar fasciitis that spread to his ankle. They also took x-rays just in case there is something else. He also is going to PT for the pain in his neck. I noticed that the mini-spuds were just starting to sprout so I moved sweet potatoes to another day and made baked potato salad with the mini-spuds. Cleaned out several more things. Moved more stuff from glass bottles to zip-lock bags. I have a great abundance of glass canning jars of all sizes with plastic lids. I'll run this batch through the dishwasher and box them for the auction. Lori - Yum on the tuna on English muffins! I also like tuna in thin pita with extra lettuce. Birdy - Amazon is pretty good for customer satisfaction. I'm sure you will clear up the problem. You can also return stuff to UPS. I prefer it to Kohl's because Amazon returns at Kohl's is way in the back of the store. Elza - Love porcupine meatballs. Quite a while ago, I made a Swedish-style porcupine meatballs recipe. Tasty - Safe travels onward!! Enjoy your afternoon. Going to more stuff!

I think I mentioned the other day that I was having fits with my computer. I fiddled and fiddled and finally found that holding it just right and never turning it off is the only way to make it work. Looks like I'll need a help desk chat with DD to pick out another one sooner rather than later. Also had trouble with my washer. The load of big towels went off balance and it sounded like WW III. I've never had one of those appliance temper tantrums so difficult to rectify. I am woman Hear me roar! For supper I'm having a wedge salad with cute baby heads of iceberg lettuce with salmon and whatever veggies I can find. Marinated brussels sprouts on the side. Sweet dreams.

Good evening. Sorry I haven't been posting but I am tired and grumpy. Work is just crazy this time of year so all I do is work, eat and sleep. Things have been going well at work but long days. Today 119 miles and only 4 stores. Jobs were easy but time consuming. Don't expect to see to much of me until May "maybe". When I get home I do read but not in a mood to reply. The money is good and the madness will all end in about a month when all the the companies have there new summer look in the stores.
Enjoy your evening.

Hi everyone, Nothing really to report, just another day at the shop and pork chops for supper. I am going to vacuum and mop tonight so won't have to concern myself with that tomorrow. I need to run down to dollar general and get some plastic ware, I have all other paper items, and cups, etc. Everyone is coming at 6, so don't look for me to post tomorrow. Waving to all. Take care !

Our supper club was fun tonight. We had porcupine meatballs, green beans, carrot salad, tossed salad, and biscuits, with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for dessert. I need to get that cookie recipe -- Chris, you will be happy to know that the recipe includes maple syrup. The food was good and so was the conversation.
Tomorrow I'm playing for our Good Friday service in the evening but at least I don't go to work till noon. I should have time to clean bathrooms in the morning, and get my music organized.
