Good morning! Visions of moving danced in my head overnight so rolling over and going back to sleep was not happening. I'll survive!! Ham, mac & cheese, and roasted carrots were yummy. Tonight I'm roasting turkey thighs and having a "turkey dinner" with mashed potatoes, gravy, and petite peas. I have a breakfast frittata baking in the countertop using up the peppers & onions and mac & cheese. Will go to the senior center and to a couple of stores on the way home. No other plans. Will be going over my list for the moving company and my list of questions I have for the walk through on Monday. It looks like the moving will be simple...the auction and clean-out (junk and donations) will take a lot of time. Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning friends. I read yesterday but just did not get on to post.
An- The "excitement" of moving. Yes, you will survive! At least yu have the time to sort out after the move. I will not have that time I think. We will need to sell right off and so doing the sorting now is the only option.
Off to Criminal Justice again today!

Good morning, friends -- going in early again today since one of the tellers has an early dr appointment. I got to leave early yesterday so can't complain too much!
We had rain and thunder all evening, which I wasn't expecting. Still cloudy now, but clearing later -- at least that's the forecast. I hope it will warm up a little too after chilly temps yesterday. Of course, it's always colder right before Easter, no matter when the holiday falls.
This afternoon I need to practice Easter music, and also get ready for our supper club tomorrow night. I'm bringing a side dish & bread so I'm planning to cook fresh green beans with a little country ham and onion, and I'm thinking about angel biscuits for the bread. We'll see. I'm also considering a carrot salad with pineapple & raisins too. The main dish will be porcupine meatballs, which I haven't had in a long time! Looking forward to that.

Yesterday's tragedy in Maryland should not impact our trip Ann. By the time we reach Maryland we're on I 81 and our journey thru that state is only 10 miles.

Good morning, friends! Just a quick post this morning as I currently have taco meat cooking on the stove to make taco salads for our dinner this evening. I am also in the process of getting ready to bake some sprinkle cookies for DGD whom will be visiting this coming weekend.
Today is International Whiskey Day and National Spanish Paella Day.
Yesterday was such a warm and humid day ,87*, expecting the same for later today. Those 90's are just around the corner.

Good morning everyone . Ann, yes the move is getting closer. We had time to clear out before, but still did a lot of tossing after the move. Chris, another one here who read but didn’t post yesterday. Both DD dropped in yesterday. One in the morning, one in the evening. A good visit with both of them. Enjoy your day at work. Tasty, safe travels today, and all the way home. A 2 day drive? Emr, enjoy your day at work too. Haven’t had porcupine meatballs in a long time either. Don’t know why, I really like them. Lori, none of those ‘special’ days going on here today. Never made taco salad, but have enjoyed them at other folks homes. Not much going on here. Going for meds and a few groceries this morning. Will have baked spaghetti tonight, planning on doing ribs in the c/pot tomorrow night. Bbl. Jan

Good morning
The painter I found yesterday gave me a quote that is very reasonable, way less than I thought it would be. So this morning I'm going to pick out a paint color and send the code to him. He will then pick up the paint and contact me on a starting day next week. I was so excited I woke up early again and couldn't go back to sleep. The color I want is a very very light gray so that I can accent a room with any color I want and it will still match. Unlike what is in the rooms now. Oh, the quote was for all rooms except the craft room. The dark ugly color through out the house will be gone soon. Just one more thing to change that I didn't like but Mark did.
Before it gets too warm I will get the leaf blower out and clean off the porch. All I did was a little sweeping the last time. It needs a good job done. The rest of the day I'll work on my diamond paint project.....I plan on it anyway. LOL
Now I better get my rear in gear!

Good Morning ! Tasty, I'll be praying for safe travels.
Mamma, I was happy to read that you got a reasonable, affordable bid on painting. You'll be so happy when it's done. I felt very happy to get the counters replaced in our 2 bathrooms. It makes me happy every time I see them! Now, to do the kitchen.. But that will have to wait awhile since we think it will run about 5 K.
DH took of early yesterday, so I did not get all that much done around here yesterday. I have no plans to go anywhere today. I have 3 chicken leg quarters I will boil, and make chicken and dumplings for supper.
Lori, I would not be celebrating the food holidays even if I could; don't care for either item!
Waving to all. I am still in my pj's. It's a cool 53, so need to find something cozy and warm to wear! Have a super day!

Good morning! It feels as though I get later and later every morning with getting on the computer. I have to wait until an aide gets me up and ready and in some mornings that can be quite late. All of your food items sound so good. I love roasted turkey thighs. I used to make them for myself quite often when I could get my hands on them. I also love porcupine meatballs, something my mother made often and I found I could cut them down for just a few servings for myself.
Yesterday, the man in charge of the kitchens here sat down with each of us at lunch and talked about our likes and dislikes likes what they serve. Since what I get is so different from everybody else, it was nice to talk with him about the foods I get. In some cases, they really don't have any other options but he did listen to some of my complaints and compliments. Hopefully, this will help. The guy who is such a jerk in our house told him they never give us ice cream. It wasn't a minute later that the young lady serving us brought chocolate ice cream cups around to us. It was a very nicely timed coincidence and it showed up what a fool he is. We can ask for ice cream anytime we would like it for dessert as an option.
Tasty, it was good to hear that you didn't get caught in the traffic that is bound to be simply awful around Baltimore.
Bet, your rice casserole sounds like a good idea. I thought you'd like to know that we have a daffodil blooming right by the front dining room window. Of course there are piles of snow still in the parking lot but it does give hope that spring is coming.
Last evening in the light just before the sunset, not that we saw the sun, a small group of four deer wandered across the lawn next to my window. Just enough snow had melted that they could get to the grass. Right now with the warm sun on it it's mostly grass. I don't think the snow will stick around for a very long time.
Have a good day everyone. I'll talk to you later.

Good morning. I got my walk in, then a trip to Walmart then back to walk Coco. Played shuffleboard. Now I'm sitting in truck while Judy is at her heart Dr. This afternoon I have Mexican train.
Mamma- go real light gray, lol, I just helped a friend choose a gray paint. We both thought it was light, but now that it's on his living room and kitchen walls it's dark. Tomorrow morning I will be out in your neck of the woods. I have a Dr's. Appointment.
Ann,- is May your move in date?
Elza- don't work to hard.
Chris- why a rush when you move?
Birdy- that kitchen person needs to be reprimanded. I hope you at least have been getting ice cream. Is your jaws swelling going down more?
My sister who had the hip surgery isn't doing good, I wish those holes would heal, it's been almost 5 months since last surgery.
She called me this morning to tell me that she asked our president of social club if she could bring our sister and John to Easter dinner. She said no as they aren't staying with you. So we are all going to a restaurant. I am not sure when I am going to tell the board since we are hosting. I am so mad .

Weather is pretty much the same here, Tammy. I get cold whenever the door is open. Rain is in the forecast around supper time. Safe trip, Tasty. Can you read while the car is moving? Makes me dizzy just thinking about it. ((Chris)) hugs to you. Elza, I took green beans with all that good stuff to a party once in Florida. Surprisingly, it was the first thing to go. One person brought hot dogs and another the buns. We ended up with giant buns and one lonely little hot dog for each sandwich. Nobody's fault and we had a good laugh about it. Jan, you can't beat spaghetti for a delicious meal. Hope your medicine is helping. Mamma, I can feel your excitement for new paint. Amazing the difference it will make. My supper will be salmon with brussel sprouts. I'll make lots of brussels so I can have some with butter tonite and marinate the rest for tomorrow. Enjoy your day.

Mamma, I am going to join Elaine re: color selection.....paint darkens as it dries. Most paint stores will sell you a small sample (4 to 8 oz). I suggest that you buy it and paint about a 12 square in several different spots in areas to be painted as it will look a little different with varying light. Your small space will look much bigger and brighter with the lightest of color.
I have a cute story to tell you about my dad who was a paint contractor. He did a lot of work for about a dozen older ladies who were oil millionaire widows who all played bridge together. They would argue over who was going to be next to get their work done. He went over to talk with one of them about colors and had a big color chart with him....she looked at him and said...now, I want you to know that I can't look at a 2 inch square and envision what it will look like on my walls. I want you to get some of these colors and paint a wall so I can look at it then I'll decide...he told her that would be a rather expensive. She told him to go get the paint.....I have more money than I can spend in 2 lifetimes. He painted that wall 7 times.
Good luck with your new adventure....maybe your wacky new neighbor won't stay too long. Doris

Well, I got busy this afternoon and made carrot salad and angel biscuit dough. Tomorrow afternoon I'll cook the green beans and bake biscuits and we'll be good.
Tonight after choir DH wanted to try a place that one of the old guys at the barber shop told him about when he got a haircut this morning. It's called Wing-Burger City and they supposedly have good philly sandwiches. I wasn't too impressed and neither was DH. It wasn't bad but nothing to write home about.

Sometimes you just have to try a place for yourself Elza - sorry it was disappointing tonight. Our trip today was uneventful despite the rain we ran into in North Carolina - it was quite nasty at times and visibility left more than a little to be desired. However we also saw daffodils by the hundred along some of the roadsides and also some gorgeous forsythia. We're in Roanoke tonight and will hop on 81 in the morning for tomorrow's drive. Chinese buffet for supper tonight.
