Hi everyone, Typical Sunday yesterday. We did like the Mexican restaurant so much that we went back for lunch. The food was exceptional!
And today was a typical Monday. DH took the car to a doctor appointment, so I was a little later getting to the grocery store. I stripped the bed and washed sheets, and I have a quiche in the oven for supper. That was my day. We are hosting a Mexican themed pot luck Friday night here, so this week will involve cleaning. I ordered 3 dozen tamales so do not have to cook anything. I will need to go back to town later in the week to find a tablecloth-of the plastic variety-some plates, etc.
It rained this morning and sprinkled this after noon but is now sunny and 73.
Tomorrow I will be making ambrosia, ham strata casserole and Elza's maple brownies. Actually I plan on baking the maple bars tonight.
Hope everyone sleeps well and has an awesome Tuesday.
Birdy, what an interesting bird!

Birdy, I've never seen that nor heard of such! Very cool -- thanks for sharing that with us.
Tammy, wow, that is a real testimonial for the Mexican restaurant. Your menu for tomorrow sounds good -- ambrosia is one of my favorites.
Lori and Jan, it was a longer wait than we'd expected at Carmax, especially with making an appointment and sending information ahead of time. I got there early so was able to go on and get things started but it still took 2 hours from start to finish. Oh well, at least that is done! We also found a new-to-us BBQ place just down the road so we had dinner there. The BBQ itself was just okay, but it was clearly a family friendly place as there were lots of little ones there, including one adorable little boy who keep playing "peek-a-boo" with me from the next table. 😊
Bet, what an ordeal you have gone through with this job. I think we are all marching with picket signs in spirit!
Helen, I can deal with rain but I don't like hail. Hopefully there was no damage and it won't be a bad storm season.
Mamma, I'm sure there is a place out there that is going to be just right for you. Praying you find it soon!
Elaine, I love how you showed Chris's picture to your friends!
