Bet, no not a mobile home park. I'll go to another RV resort of 55 and older.
Elza, thank you so much for the prayers, I need them. :)
When I took Mandy down I had on a sweatshirt and long slacks, then I changed into a t-shirt and capris, now I'm back to the sweatshirt and long pants. No sunshine and a very slow warm up has me feeling cold. I'm thinking some soup for lunch today, I need something warm. :)

OMG ladies! What awful weather. And getting worse. Nothing new here. Good luck, mamma. Hope you find a home you really like. Wonderful you can depend on your aides, Birdy, even in challenging circumstances. Bet, good thinking on cancelling the bunny sale. Guess it doesn't mean it's giving you some down time though. Ann, big hugs as moving becomes more of a reality. Everything will fall into place. I know you'll love your new place. I've decided on making my good old comfort casserole today. I'll be settling in with my movies in a minute. Hugs.

Chris, right now the snow is nice and dry therefore I am nice and wet as it all blows back onto me. Every time I take a break I come in looking like a snowman. All the snow gear comes off and hits the heat ducts to dry before it soaks through. I am at the point I could quite the first round of snow blowing and get out of the driveway except the hill has about 2 inches on it again and that could be a problem even though my tires are good but I can't get a good running start to make it. You have a lot more than me so when that gets wet it is going to be very difficult. Good luck to Dan with that.
Elza, you said you wanted a nice relaxing Saturday. Hopefully it remains that way and what you want to get done isn't to time consuming.
Mamma, I had friends that had two pitbulls and they were a couple of the friendliest, loving dogs you ever wanted to meet. There are good ones and bad ones and a lot has to do with the upbringing.
Helen, believed me I would rather have been running up and down the hill with bunnies that what I am going today. Hopefully when I go back out this time I can finish for today. It won't be done the way I like it but have decided I will leave some to Mother Nature. Starting Monday our daytime temps with be in the 40's and 50's with some sun and some rain. This is normal March weather for here.

Good morning. I still have about 45 minutes of it. I gotmy walk in. I stopped at clubhouse to work on puzzle but this is a 2000 piece so will take awhile.
Bruce is out wandering somewhere on the golf cart. I know Saturdays he cleans the free table.
Tonight we have our annual live and silent auction. Chicken Alfredo and apple pie will be served. I helped carry items in. Some beautiful quilt stuff was donated. There is also a horseshoe cross I wouldn't m8nd having.
Ann- that's great on you keeping the grocery bill under $100 when you make such creative meals.
Mamma- we have a pit bull down the street from us, they aren't allowed in our park so who knows why they get to keep theirs. Why wouldnt you move into a mobile home park? Most of the residents are year around here . Of course the ones Inplay cards with leave, lol.
You guys can keep that nasty weather. I am lov8ng the weather here right now. I wont be saying that in a few months, lol.
I have laundry going. Dh did the floors yesterday. So house is cleaned.

Good afternoon, friends. Lots of food holidays today: National :Chia Day, Chip and Dip Day, Melba Toast Day and Tamale Day. All sound good to me, but not celebrating with any of them today.
DH and I slept in until 7:45 this morning and then we took our time to get moving. After our breakfast, we had to take a run back to Publix because the container of yogurt we got yesterday had a knife slice right down the front of the container---never realized it when we picked it up. No problem exchanging for a new container. Then on to the post office to mail out Easter cards. When we got back home, I worked on cutting up veggies for homemade English muffins pizzas and a side salad for our dinner this evening. Next it was time to empty the dishwasher, wash and dry bedding, and finally pack up the goodies for DH to take with him when he left to go see Fred. Now I have to get ready and bike.
Yesterday was pretty much a lost day of accomplishing much other than finishing a menu and grocery list. The Tylenol kicked in just enough that I did go along grocery shopping at the end of the day, but what a nasty arthritis flareup that was. Still sore, but nothing compared to yesterday.
Chris, that sure is a lot of snow!
mamma, best of luck to you as you shop for another place to live. I'm a dog lover, but not when it comes to pit bulls as I've heard of too many accidents with people getting bitten When my parents moved down here from Michigan in 1981, they bought in a 55+ mobile home park in town. The park allowed dogs on one street only (not the street where my parents lived). When homeowners having a dog went out of their home, they had to stay on that street and weren't allowed on the other streets with their pets. When the dogs did their business, if the owners did not pick it up, they were fined. Might sound a bit strict but it worked, and everyone was happy. I personally loved the mobile home park---everyone was friendly, the place was well kept, lots of activities for homeowners and their guests. After my DM died in 2006, we had to sell it as my DF was in a nursing facility already by then; I drive by it every so often and remember many good times there.
Bet, sorry that you are also getting snow today and had to cancel the bunny sale. Hope you'll be able to sell the remaining bunnies throughout the coming week.
Elaine, hope you'll be able to have the winning bid this evening on that horseshoe cross. Have a good time.
Ann, good for you! We tried our hardest but couldn't keep the grocery bill under $100 yesterday---it rang in at $128. Sad to say, we had 4 small bags, and we didn't even pick up any meat---everything is up!
Tammy, hope you and Dave find the "new" Mexican restaurant to your liking this evening.
Birdy, waving and thinking of you.
Must get moving and get that biking done, so I'll close for now. Wishing everyone a good Saturday. Lori

Afternoon! It's a gloomy, cold, and rainy day. Right now it's pouring rain...all of the snow and ice is gone. Don't know yet if we will have a freeze overnight. Dinner is all prepped and ready to cook. Use zaatar on the potatoes with some lemon infused olive oil my SIL gave to me. Chris - The only problem with using this Max Sold online auction, IMO, is that I don't think I can pack stuff to be auctioned because pictures have to be taken. So that is limited me in emptying my hutch, built in hutch and cabinets. After the walk in next Monday, I'm going to start packing kitchen stuff I'm bringing with us, clothes, etc. I have lists on lists! I know we will be returning to this house a lot after moving to deal with stuff...auction and junk removal. Now that folks have taken what they want, we are not getting much help with any of this. Bet - Isn't it the case that people grumble without thinking why something is cancelled or postponed. When I'm ready to get up, my feet don't hit the floor until I determine the day and date and PTL that I am awake!!! Tasty - My superstitious mind thinks May 9th is when winter ends so shovels and winter gear stays out!!! Fingers crossed that moving day is good weather...yet to be determined. Tammy - Enjoy your Mexican meal. Love the picture you posted on FB with your Mom! Mamma - Good luck with your possible change. Lori - Sorry your had a flair. Good that it is a little better today. Elaine - You do so much for your community! Well, folks. I have to move around...sitting too long is not good! Enjoy your evening!

Mamma, Have you checked the rules of your current park to see if vicious dogs are allowed and if so which ones. They are usually chows, pit bulls, rottweilers and German shepherds to name a few. Moving is expensive and very taxing both mentally and physically. It sounds like you have made some friends that have been helpful so would be a shame to lose that. Good luck to you. Cheers Doris

Bet....Sometime back you talked about yeast.....My question, do you proof instant or rapid rise yeast? I picked up a 2# package for $5.89 at Sam's and is rapid rise......I value your input.
I see you are having raunchy weather this week-end....Stay safe. We have had nice temps all week but snow will be back tonight and tomorrow. 8 or 9 days ago we had 1 1/2 feet......up Ute Pass where Tammy and Dave spent some time had 5 and 6 feet and some are still trapped up there in hard to access areas. Many rescued but two died that are accounted for. One died shoveling snow and one who couldn't get a vehicle out to get to a doctor. Doris

Bet, it has been a nice quiet day, thanks. I got all the laundry done and put away, cleaned all the bathrooms, swept and mopped the floors, and I'm even cleaning out the freezer a little bit by making meals of "bits and pieces" that were stashed in there. So feeling pretty good about that.

Ann.hope you don't get below freezing tonight. We are suppose to get to12° tonight.
Lori, you sure have had a busy day. Hope DH has a good visit with Fred. I am sure he will enjoy your goodies. Glad that you are not in so much pain today.
Elaine, are you bidding on the cross? Good luck if you are.
Chris, I see where northern Warren County here and Vermont are to get a heavy band of snow moving from west to east until I think 10 tonight with 1" or more an hours. You would be right in that line I would think. I hope not.
Doris, I proof all yeast. In fact I combine the warm liquid, at least some of the sugar and a small amount of flour together and let that all get all bubbly and puffy and then proceed with the directions from there. I also like to punch down the first rise and then put the dough in the refrigerator for at least an hour or even over night before shaping it for the second rise before baking. The cold dough is so much easier to work with and it just give things a totally different flavor which I like.
I am tired and could just go to bed and skip dinner. I am making corned beef, potatoes, carrots and cabbage. The only thing I had left from the original dinner was the corned beef and the broth that everything was cooked in. I will peel enough potato for one as well as carrot and cabbage. I will freeze the balance of the broth and the meat. I finally came in from snow blowing about 5. It was a long process with many breaks but even so my body is really rebelling at this point. We got another 5" today but and I am hoping it is about done. I did the hill and driveway to the road twice but it again has snow on it but if we don't get anymore I should be able to get out with the bunnies in the morning. The worst part will be getting them from the house to the car. All the talk about keeping the grocery bill under $100. I had no idea what I spent a week as I pick up sale items from 3 different stores and then sometimes things from Walmart that I need that aren't on sale so I just paid my credit card where I charge everything so I totaled up what I spent for the month. I think I did quite well as it was $150 for the month. Wish I could say the same for the gas credit card as the gas for a month was $130.
Well dinner isn't preparing itself so guess I should get moving.
Enjoy your evening.

We are up to 17 inches! Still snowing heavily!
I went out to refill the bird feeders and where the snow came off the roof was to my hips. Exhausted me to get through it! Wow! LOL
