Good morning! We have a light coating of the white stuff out there and it's just below freezing. So we are getting sleet and freezing rain. Will warm up later. It's supposed to be a rainy afternoon with significant accumulations. Calzones were delicious last night. Tonight we are having a recipe for 'lemon-garlic salmon', smashed potatoes, and brussies. Yesterday's grocery shopping total cost was again under $100! Yea! Found some hot sausage for $1.99 a package so have added sausage, peppers, & onions to this week's menu. No big plans for today besides the usual spiffing up of our living space and emptying more cabinets and drawers. Have a great day! Will try to get back to chat later. Waving!

Good morning friends.
It is snowing at the rate of 1.6" per hour. So far looks like we have a bit more than 3". I told Dan it is his fault as he put the snow blower away and so we get snow! LOL He got it back out last night.
Ann- Wondering if you will still have time after the move to finish clearing out your house? We are supposed to get over 18". I hope they are wrong. LOL The snow keeps coming off the roof and thumping so loud! I bet next winter you won't miss having to clean your driveway out.
Nothing really planned for today. Might just go do some more sewing. I have an idea for another quilt and want to see if I can do it. Have to do some math to work out the pattern. LOL

Good morning. It was 19°here this morning and snowing. It started about midnight and at 7 we had 4". It isn't to stop until about 5 tonight and they are saying another 4". At least it is a dry snow so it won't be difficult to move and at the moment no wind. I just cancelled the bunny sale for today. There will probably be some upset folks but I have no intentions of going to town own this hill at 10 this morning and again at 4 this afternoon even if I was done snow blowing the first round by 10. I have shoveled part of the deck so I can measure in the morning again. Probably won't bother with the rest of it as this should melt quite quickly this week.
Ann, hope your weather changes to just rain.
Chris looks like by noon you will be getting the nasty wintry mix into this evening. What are your plans for a new quilt design. Did you finish the one with the rectangular pieces?
Elza, hope you are enjoying your quite Saturday.
Have a great day.

Good morning all. Where to the north has snow etc, we had lots of rain with more expected today. Not sure we'll do too much but I have got the first of several loads of laundry in the washer right now. Good for you, keeping the grocery bill under $100 again Ann. Happy sewing Chris. Will you ask Dan to keep the snowblower out til June please? I really don't want to see any snow once we get home. Waving to all 👋. Don't blame you not wanting to go out today Bet!

Hi! It has been a whirlwind so have not had the chance to post, but I have been reading. Nothing exciting going on, just a lot of the usual. I had planned on making a quiche for supper but DH wants to go and try the new Mexican restaurant in town. We used to love it, then it changed owners, and the quality went so far downhill that we never went back. Now it has new owners, new name and hopefully will be good.
Last night was Bible study, not here. I forgot it was Friday and all day was thinking it was Saturday so had nothing planned to take. We stopped by the store and picked up a fruit tray. With all the other appetizers-that was supper.
I see all the rain that we got a couple days ago has moved east. It is sunny now but only 53. For the next week we should have temps in the 70's.
Have a super day!

I just went out and measured. 8" now and an almost whiteout!
Bet- It would be okay with me if it would just snow as the wet stuff will make it heavy for Dan to blow. We are supposed to get it until midnight. I have not finished the other quilt! LOL Too many ideas in my brain to try out! I will finish them all up over the next few weeks for sure! Smart to cancel the bunny sale.
Tammy- I may come and see you! LOL I like your temps better than ours! I hope the restaurant turns out to be good again. we just got a new one in Claremont. It is really good and I am not a fan of Mexican restaurants usually.
Tasty- I will instruct Mr Chapman to "Keep the dang thing out" until June! LOL I don't want any more either!

Good morning
This morning at 10 my neighbor and friend, Judy is coming over. She is a realtor and will do a walk through to give me an idea of what I can get for my home. Having a pit bull living across the street from me is causing me great concern and fear. I highly doubt that the owner will be told that the dog has to go. It's a long story. Anyway if the dog stays I'm gone. In fact I may sell anyway. I'm not at all happy with rules that are not enforced here. Judy has a place listed that I really want to go and look at. It's in a park further away from the noisy I8 freeway, but still in the foothills. :)
It is already 70º, no heavy coat was needed this morning, just a light sweatshirt. And I'll be changing into carpi's and a t-shirt shortly. The wind is going to kick in this morning and increase through Sunday. That means I will have to bring my plants inside and batten down the hatches. hehehe
Not much else planned for today other than some dusting and meals. And I've no idea what the meals will be, as usual.

Morning, Friends. People around here don't put their snow blowers away until May in some cases! We got 11 in overnight and it is still snowing and will be until this afternoon. My aid said that the major road she usually drives on was not plowed this morning when she came in. Considering we are in our snow emergency I'm surprised.
Not much going on today with the police short staff to like it is and not too many things to choose from. I will probably work on clearing out some things online .
Chris, tell Mr Chapman for me to keep that snow blower out. Hope you don't get freezing rain on top of it. That is the worst.
Down south of us in several counties they are getting freezing rain and have been overnight. I don't not too sure what I hate more. They have a terrible mess. Offspring. Ain't it great!?
Try to have a good day everyone.

Birdy- We are supposed to get sleet and freezing rain this afternoon! Dang! No plows have been through as of yet. The birds are going crazy on my feeders. Loving having them at the window feeder!

Mamma, I take it you would be moving to another mobile home park. Good luck.
Birdy, you have a lot more snow that we do.
Chris, I was just looking at your radar and it looks pretty nasty with a wintry mix right now. My road has been plowed but they take excellent care of our roads. I can't complain considering I am 4 miles one way and 3 miles the other way to a main road.
Just in drying off a bit. The heat was on when I walked in so there are clothes on almost every heat vent drying so I can go back out. I spent between 3/4 and 1 hour snow blowing and at least the hill and drive to the road are almost done but I can't say as much for the yard. It is pretty much done in front of one door of the garage but not the one where the car is. I have a couple more hours to finish I am afraid. I will need to snow blow when it stops last afternoon or early tomorrow morning.

Bet- So far it is all snow still. Change over will happen soon I think. Wish it would stay this dry snow. Would be easier to blow.

Started to type "good morning" but it's officially afternoon! I haven't accomplished much today except getting clothes into the dryer. I need to clean bathrooms, mop floors, and clean the kitchen -- but I don't have anything else to do today so it will all happen sometime. I was about to get started when my sister called and we had a nice long chat.
Mamma, I wouldn't want to live near a pit bull either, and I don't have a dog that would be threatened. I just wouldn't feel safe myself. Saying a prayer that you can find something that is right for you, or that the new neighbor moves!
Birdy, God bless your aide for coming in to work on unplowed roads!
Chris, you are really getting snowed on there. Glad you can stay home and stay warm.
Bet, you are smart to stay where you are. Chocolate bunnies can wait.
Ann, good for you staying under $100! That's impressive.
Tammy, we're in the 60s today so it's cool but the rain has apparently moved out for now. It poured down all night long, though.
Tasty, I have plenty of laundry to keep me busy today as well.
The mushroom pizza last night was okay but pretty bland. I don't think I'll buy that again. For today, I got homemade vegetable soup out of the freezer and I'll have that with some cheese crackers. And I have cucumber salad too. Sounds good to me!
