Morning! It's winter again...clear but below freezing at 24°. We ordered and paid for our beds yesterday. Got two twins with trundle storage drawers. Mattresses (extra firm) with no foundations. They will sit on the platform slats that we will order from Amazon. All we have to do now is give a delivery date as soon as we know. We can go into the unit about a week before the movers come. So we can have the beds delivered, window treatments installed, and cable & Internet set up. Supper last night was great...leftovers and some mac & cheese. Tonight we are having calzones and a salad. It's our shopping day. I don't think I mentioned that we paid under $100 last week. Aiming for a repeat this week. Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning. It is 8°here this morning and Sunny. It is the calm before the storm. Snow is to start around 11 tonight and continue on until tomorrow night around 8. We will getting about a foot. At least it won't be a heavy wet snow like the last few storms have been.
I am afraid I didn't walk all my miles before sleep last night before sleep came. The main living area is done but I didn't get to the BatCave or the bedroom. Today I have to work. It could be a long day but it has to be done. At least it will be a sunny drive.
Ann, hope you can keep the grocery bill down again this week. Sounds like you are moving right along with preparing for the move. Glad to read that Duchess is settling in to her new home.
Have a great day.

Good morning friends. Your temperature is about the same as home this morning Bet. They are expecting about 6" of snow overnight. Hoping it has completely disappeared by the time we get home. The first week of April we will be in the mid 40s for the highs each day with maybe a couple of damp days. Here in MB it is 60 this morning and quite dull, rain being due to arrive about lunch time and last, off and on, thru tomorrow. The condo we are staying in has a scheduled maintenance spraying today so we have to be out for a while. Good luck keeping the grocery bill below $100 again this week Ann. Hope the work day goes smoothly Bet. 👋.

Good morning.
Bet, you got a lot more snow than we did. But with it being so cold and windy it was blowing around really bad. People did not have a good ride into work yesterday.
Our weekend does not sound like it's going to start out very well. We are going to be seeing rain mixing with freezing rain and snow overnight. The good news is that it should be over by Saturday afternoon with the worst here overnight. It sounds as though the worst of the storm is headed your way. Sorry about that. Let's hope that this is it. As my mother always said, the March sun is strong so this should melt fast once it stays out for a while.
And, it seems like you've been waiting a long time to get to this point in your move. From the sound of it it shouldn't be much longer! I bet you are excited.
Those of you living in warm spots are really lucky. I bet we all will soon be complaining about how hot it is!
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone. Ann, times getting closer for the move. Good luck with keeping the grocery bill under $100. Bet, you work so hard. Don’t fret about not finishing the housework, happens to me all the time. Glad you have a sunny day to go to work. Hope all goes smoothly for you. Tasty, temperature here in BC interior currently 33*F, at 6:45am, going to 57*F later. More clouds for today but sun will still be peeking through. Rain predicted for weekend. Birdy, sorry to hear about the awful weather you’re getting. Hard to believe that spring has arrived., or is supposed to. Lori, looked up those Heath Toffee Bits Chocolate Cookies, looks like a good one to use up Skor bits I have, so I copied it. Didn’t get everything done that I’d planned yesterday, still have to finish the vacuuming. Went for a drive instead. Towels are done and folded, put away. Did a few little things that needed doing. Sure slowed down in my old age. Chicken burgers were good last night. Salmon probably for tonight, it’s been a while and we have lots in freezer. Jan

Good morning and hello to all! Today is World Water Day, National Bavarian Crepes Day and We Love Broccoli Day.
It has been raining steadily since about 2 this morning and is supposed to continue through until tomorrow afternoon. As I mentioned yesterday, we really need the rain; I won't complain. However, with the damp conditions out there, Arthur is keeping me from doing too much at the moment. I am having pain throughout my legs, and everything seems to be stiff, but hoping to see a little relief if/when the Tylenol 8Hr Arthritis kicks in. I had to be at the Heart Specialists office this morning at 7:15 for an appointment at 7:45 for my yearly ECHO. OMG, I had such a difficult time walking, everyone kept asking if I was alright. Due to the pain, I wasn't able to lay on my left side as request and instead just had to lay flat on my back, but even that wasn't a cake walk. Oh well, not every day can be sunshine and roses. I'll see the doctor next Friday morning for results.
Tasty, the Date-Apple Quick Bread is delicious. DH took one of the mini-loaves last night for his snack and loved how moist it was. I had to have a taste and I must agree. It's a keeper. Sending 3 loaves over to Fred with cookies tomorrow.
My only goal as of right now is to work on my menu for next week and grocery list. Hope I can walk enough to go shopping this afternoon, but if not, DH said he'd go alone, or we can try together Saturday morning. Leftover pork chops for dinner this evening.
Ann, glad you got the beds ordered.
Bet, hope your long day of work goes smoothly, in the stores and on the road.
Birdy, yes it's just a matter of time and we'll all be complaining about the heat and humidity. So far we've seen several mid-80's, but thank goodness, no 90's of yet. Will be going over to Disney World for a long weekend next month and maybe by then, since it's the middle of the state where there isn't a sea breeze like here, low 90's almost guaranteed.
Chris, I'm sure you, Dan, DGS and his friend will have a fun and exciting time at the Great Wolf Lodge. We have one opening down here in Naples towards the end of September. I'm sure with DD a strong swimmer since she was little and Lilith in lessons now, that in the future we'll be going for a stay there too. It looks like a fun-filled place; I hope that you all have a great time.
Jan, DH and I had a taste of the cookies and liked how moist they were. Made them with the small melon ball size scooper, so I got plenty. Will make again.
Waving to all and wishing you a lovely day! Lori

Good morning! I made a visit to the SSA office this morning. Not sure I understand 100% of what the lady said, but at least I have more concrete information. Still have to make a decision about when to apply.
DH is heading down to his mom's this weekend. He hopes to leave by 3 and it looks like he will be driving through rain all the way. So he probably won't be doing yard work, but he will be helping get her new computer set up so that will keep him busy.
I got all the dusting done yesterday and will wait to clean bathrooms tomorrow since I'm planning to stay home all day. Kind of looking forward to a quiet day at home.
Our local produce market has just opened again and I'm always glad of that. I stopped and got cucumbers today to make Lori's cucumber salad. I'll have that to snack on this weekend. I picked up an Aldi pizza earlier to have tonight or tomorrow (or both!) -- Mushroom, Mozzarella, and Mascarpone. Sounds good to me but I know DH would not touch it! LOL
*Ann, hoping to hear that you came in under your goal at the grocery store. We're pulling for you! *Birdy, you are so right. I will hear lots of griping today about the rain and cooler temps, but before long it will about how hot it is. People always seem to be surprised that it's cold in the winter and hot in the summer. 🤷♀️ *Bet, be safe out there on the job -- glad you have a sunny day for it. *Jan, nice that you got out for a drive yesterday. The housecleaning can wait. *Tasty, I think the whole state is going to get rained on today. I'm sure you'll find something interesting to do while you're out of the condo.
Happy Friday to everybody ~
ETA hello to Lori! Hope the meds kick in and you are feeling better soon. I drink water every day so I'll be celebrating one holiday at least.

Good morning.
Sunny and 61º, heading for 86. Wind and cooler temps move in for the weekend. But not as cold as some of you. I too am done with winter weather and the "snow"birds.
Out and back home in record time this morning. Mandy has gotten shy around other dogs and hides by me after the initial run along the fence. If they don't stop barking she is done done and she wants to leave. That constant barking is irritating to say the least. Soon they all will be gone and there will be peace in the valley. The park is really thinning out. :)
Sheets are in the washer and in a bit I'll put clean sheets on the bed. That is all I plan on doing today. The massage has done no good for my neck pain, just my back. I'll try somewhere else in a couple weeks. This place is too expensive to repeat too often.
My sweet neighbor across the street has sold and moved to be closer to her family. Now I'm stuck with a chain smoking slob. I've seen where she lived before moving here and it is a pig stye. Not even a day and I'm about ready to sell. :'(
Lunch will be another lettuce salad and supper will be taco's or an egg salad sandwich and chips.
