Good morning! Colder but clear start to my day here. Should be a sunny day. Supper last night was really good. I found Bush's original baked beans with onion on the sale table. I served them with some chopped raw red onion and black pepper. Yum...loved the crunch of the onion. The wursts were artisan ones like a kielbasa but with a good taste of whiskey!!! Tonight we are having roasted chicken legs, leftover rice, and peas. Bill has a doctor's appointment this morning so I won't be going to the senior center. Not much else happening. Measured some more stuff, taking notes and lists.... I got a text from Duchess' new 'mom' last night. She is doing much better...out from under the bed. Loves cuddling with 'dad', and is wandering around the house when it's quiet (no grandkids). Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Ann, that's great that Duchess is settling in. I know it makes you feel better.
Tasty, your post last night reminded me how long it's been since I visited Brookgreen Gardens. I remember DH & I going there for our first anniversary, with a picnic lunch. It is a beautiful place.
It got cold last night -- still below freezing, but just barely. Very grateful for our new furnace! Tonight I'm looking forward to a choral Evensong service at a local church, with the university Concert Choir.
Dinner will probably be leftovers since we have some to clear out of the fridge.

God morning friends.
Ann- It is sunny here too. Nice to see such a bright blue sky! Good to hear that Duchess is settling in.
Elza- Sounds like a nice evening for you and DH. Enjoy it!
I will be in Industrial Trades again today. Wiring the house that the Carpentry class is building. My niece decided not to come over this week. She has a lot of work to get done and she says " I just wouldn't get it all done with you and me going all over" LOL

Good morning all. It's a chilly, dare I say cold, morning here at 41 but the sun is shining. We'll get up to the 50s this afternoon when we are golfing at yet another different course. At home it is only 25 with snow predicted all day. What snow does come down will probably stick around for a few days as it will stay on the cold side, but I'm hoping there won't be too much. No plans for the morning. I'm happy to see that Duchess appears to be settling with her new family Ann - a relief for you, I'm sure. Not sure about supper. Last night we picked up takeout chicken and it was good but anything but a healthy supper. I will be happy to get back to normal eating when we get back home. Little cooking has been a nice break but . . . Have a terrific Tuesday 🌞.

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. Not been here for a few days, but feeling much better. Slept a lot, so haven’t really read the last few days, and forgot already what I have read. Slow moving around here for the next few days, haven’t even gotten to Costco. Maybe in the next day or so. Supper tonight will be a leftover casserole I concocted night before last. Was ok, but not one I’ll make again. Might taste better since I’m feeling much better. Bbl. Jan

Good morning
A chilly 50º this morning but with bright sunshine and no wind as of yet. Mandy needed coaxing to get the job done and not stop and stare into space. I wish I lived where she could be outside and see more of what is going on out there. She loves to be outside and loves to listen to and watch for everything. But we are stuck in an RV park. It's all I can afford so it works for me.
Haircut day and I can hardly wait to get this mop cut off. A load of dark clothes to get washed this morning and I may even go to the laundry area and hang everything on the lines. May being the operative word. My neck is really painful again so I'm not sure I want to bend down and reach up so often to hang things. But then again maybe it would loosen up the muscles somewhat. Annie needs to be let loose today too.
Yesterday I got the A&W Root beer that was on sale. And it proved to me once more why I don't dare go into a store to shop. Yep, I bought more than the soda pop. But it was all that I had on my list for next week. I now have all I need for my Easter dinner. Not sure my milk will last but I can get that at Fry's without worry of spending on anything other than milk.
Spring officially starts at 11:06 pm tonight. Good bye winter. Tomorrow will be really feel like spring here.
Supper last night was a bust. The sweet corn wasn't good and I just couldn't fathom choking down the chicken. So the chicken will be turned into chicken soup. LOL
Lunch today is a lettuce salad and supper is anyone's guess.

Good morning, friends. Today is National Poultry Day and National Chocolate Caramel Day.
It was so nice to spend extra little time with my DB and his wife. Yesterday we drove south down to Venice and ate at Sharky's on the Pier. We got there about 20 minutes after they opened for dinner at 4 and the place was packed. I really wanted to sit outside, but there was a 20-minute wait, it was breezy, and I could see the diners having a hard time holding napkins down and pulling hair out of their face. Inside was okay, but loud, and our waiter was kind of a know-it-all. However, dinner was good---I had a fried shrimp rice bowl. DB and SIL were tired, so they turned in shortly after we got back. This morning, they asked me if I wanted to go out for breakfast, but I said no (I have bedding, a mound of towels and dinner for this evening to make). They ate at Yoder's, Amish restaurant, and then were on their way north by 8:15.
Now it's just me playing catch up on everything else today. I am tired so I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere right now, but I'm going to push myself today and crash after dinner. The bedding is washed and back on the bed and I took a shower. Still have DH's work clothes from yesterday to wash, but I'm getting ready to set up the ironing board and get to work. Going to make Swiss steak patties with gravy, mashed potatoes, and some kind of veggie. Waving to all! Lori

Good morning, everyone. Well I am afraid I am still on parade food. Windows, thanks for changing pureed to parade. Love this dictation. My teeth are still not meeting close enough to be able to chew. I can swallow fine but it would play Havoc on my digestion. I still have some swelling so hopefully this will get better.
Ann, I am glad that Duchess is getting used to her new home.
We are alternating between beautiful sunshine and heavy snow showers. The ground is white and we have more steady snow later into tomorrow. Welcome spring! we will barely get above 30 tomorrow. the geese paid us an early morning visit again today.
time for lunch. Talk later.

Hello All. I have spent too much time on the phone today trying to untangle a royal mess at my new doctors. Suffice to say incompetence is everywhere. Moving on, doing the usual tidying up before the cleaner cleans tomorrow. My leftover roast is becoming beef stew for supper. Not enough really to make Bisquick (drop) dumplings but I saw some cheddar biscuits in the freezer that will do quite nicely. Sweet dreams
