We walked for miles this afternoon and are both exhausted but it was so worthwhile. The gardens are GORGEOUS - more azaleas than you could possibly imagine and huge swaths of daffodils. We also wandered up thru the 'zoo'. Several birds of prey that had arrived here after a stint to repair broken wings etc. These are birds that could not be released into the wild. 2 fabulous eagles, 3 red tailed hawks and several varieties of owl. While it is sad to see them in enclosures, it beats them being released and unable to fend for themselves. I'm so glad we waited this long to visit - last month would have been sad by comparison. Hope the swallowing evaluation went well Birdy. I don't even want to to think about pureed soda bread - yuk! I've been keeping an eye on the weather at home and Easter weekend looks to be be wet but in the 40s - not too bad. Enjoy the road trip with your friends mamma - should be fun for you! Elaine, I would be pretty ticked having to walk someone's dog while he's playing with his girlfriend and passing covid to his mother. Hope mom doesn't get too sick with it. Hope you got the desserts all finished in time Bet. Have a good meeting tonight. Enjoy the new restaurant this evening Tammy. I must try that trick with bananas Helen because they do ripen very quickly. The sun is still lovely here at 6.30 👋.
