Chris, we are 2+ hours from Kelowna. I believe I met Anita at a gathering in Kelowna many, many years ago. Arranged by a lady called Penny Baker. Penny has since passed on. I can’t remember her board name, on the old TOH, in the early years. Elaine, I don’t think that you’d have any time for a pet of your own. You sound like you really enjoy looking after other people’s pets. They’re very lucky to have you in the park. Mamma, that lightheadedness has gone on for too long. I was wondering, have you had it looked into? Could be something simple, but best to know for sure. Jan

Tam, I don't make my own pie crust either. I gave up on it years ago. :)

Afternoon! It's a gorgeous warm and sunny day. By later this afternoon, the temps may be in the 60s!! After going to the senior center, we stopped at a furniture store called, "Bob's" to look at twin beds with storage draws. The one I had picked out online was not what I expected, and with a foot board, Bill didn't fit on the mattress. We did look at a much sturdier one with a 'trundle' storage draw w/o a footboard that we are thinking about. Mom had one similar. We looked at mattresses...the person who guided us said we had to get a foundation under the mattress because there were only slats across the frame. We discussed it on the way home, and I threw out the idea of getting a carefully measured piece of plywood to make a platform like we have on the king frame. That would lower the climbing in and the 'falling' out height!!! lol PS: I called the store, and I was told we did not have to purchase the foundation, but would we be interested in a mattress protection service!!!??? So we will go back and continue the discussion. I already made the crash potatoes so will just warm them up later. Lori - MIL has reared her ugly head again. Stay strong! Have fun with your brother!!! Bet - What an awful day! Hope there is not a repeat anytime soon. Tammy - Bill is the pie (meat) maker here. He uses Pillsbury or Aldi premade crusts. Had to look up bumbleberry pie Chris - I could have joined you...I was awake for a good hour and finally got up at 3am. I love inventive recipes using leftovers!!! Mamma - I'd be sunk without my weekly menu, but I sometimes change some of the items on a whim. Birdy - Praying that the procedure tomorrow is successful. Hugs! Elaine - As a child, I would go with my grandfather to Whitefield, NH where my aunt & uncle ran a hotel. I remember playing shuffleboard that was built off of the front porch. I don't think I played by the rules!!! Jan - If I were to choose a soft drink, it would be ginger ale, extra dry. Have you ever tried ginger beer (no alcohol involved)? I like the Fever Tree brand of Ginger Beer...not as much sugar as the brands sold in most stores. I just turned to COZI on the TV. The OLD show, "Emergency" is on...brown appliances...remember!?!? Waving to all! Enjoy the rest of the day.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ayMy, oh my, what a wonderful day. I am so excited. I didn't make it to the shop and my plants but I think I have made a break through on regaining all of my lost email, addresses etc. I started the process over a week ago and haven't had time to continue. I think I make the break through today. Still lots to do but at least I now have it on Annabelle's computer.
I am being bad but though maybe the email break through deserved a celebration, rather than sticking to my menu and eating already prepared and frozen meals that I could cook tonight. For some reason I have a craving for a chicken sandwich. When I was training in Vermont with DGD we stayed over night a few times and one night I think we ordered from Wendy's. It was a spicy ranch fried chicken sandwich. I took a couple of fast food similar sandwiches and finally made on that was really close. I am making that tonight with french fries and a salad. Of course I have a homemade sesame seed hamburger bun from the freezer so I have use a chicken breast and a bun from the freezer so that should of sorta count as sticking to my empty the freezer pan. LOL.
Mamma, the amount we get for mileage is suppose to take care of the gas and the wear and tear on the car. It works out.
Tammy I can't make a good pie crust either however since I make little 4" pies most of the time now i love the make ahead pie crust mix I make and keep in the freezer. I also use a graham cracker crust for most of my cream pies.
Ann, you are certainly getting a good start on furniture for the new place. Do you have to buy appliances also?
Well I just up my progress on the email so have fallen fall a little but am keeping notes. I know how to get where I was when I messed up so will keep going. I am living the way it is at the moment with not a lot of problems.
Enjoy your evening.
Bet

Got my nails done then ran over to the 99¢ store for some fresh veggies. Drove down a ways to the massage parlor. I was amazed that I could get in today. God is good. It’s with a male!!!! Not sure he or I are ready for this, but I am in desperate need of some help with my neck and light headedness. Something has to change soon or I’ll have to see a specialist. I know the massage won’t be cheap but I don’t know what else to do. The light headedness has me concerned. At least it's not nearly as bad as a couple days ago. I’ve tried so many different pillows. The sad part is I have to sleep with my arms a certain way due to the torn cuffs. That could also be contributing to my neck issues. Who knows!
Cindy did a good job on my nails and fixed the broken one for only $2, usually it’s $5. After today I’ll have Tammy do my nails again. Cindy goes back to Cali and Tammy is back from Viet Nam visiting her dad. So Cindy and I broke up. LOL We made a real joke of it and had the whole place laughing. Going there is my socializing time. 😊 So I make the most of it.
I had a big chef salad for lunch and cleaned up some of the mess. Now to take Mandy out early because my appointment is in the way.
It’s warming up and the wind is picking up a bit more. I’ll have to bring my plants inside some time today or evening. Tomorrow winds could gust up to 40 mph and it could start over night and through most of the morning. I don’t want them broken or covered in dirt. The temp will only be in the 60's too. I'll be making banana bread.

Guess who is going out to eat? Cannot believe DH isn't too tired, but it was his idea, so who am I to refuse. The auction went well. Not quite as high of bids as in the past. Coconut cream went for $210.00-some friends came to it from church and bought it!! French silk and bumblelberry went for $85.00 each, and the rhubarb went for $125.00. We came home with a double chocolate raspberry cake, and also an apple pie-both bought by DH. I did not bid on anything this year.
Mamma, so glad you got in for the massage. Hope it helps.
Bet, happy to hear about the email recovery.
Birdy, will be praying for the procedure you are having.
Sometimes I see the show Emergency on late at night here. Used to love that show. I think it is fun to watch it occasionally just to see all the old cars and styles!

Good evening. Late getting here again. We did golf this morning and it was a lovely day for it, cool when we started but the sun came out and it was really beautiful. Lots of flowering shrubs and trees in full colour, as well as a few alligators to add interest. I was ready for a nap when we got back here. I didn’t but easily could have! We eventually went out and picked up a few necessary groceries, including salad for supper.
Glad to see you are finally getting somewhere with retrieving your old email, Bet. That has to have been frustrating. Hope you're having a great visit with your brother and his wife, Lori. Birdy, not sure if you’ll see this but know that I will be thinking of you in the morning. Hope it all goes to plan and you can soon eat something that needs chewing. What great prices people paid for the pies Tammy - definitely a win-win 😊.
Waving to all 👋.
