Good morning! Gale winds have abated...sure did howl out there yesterday! It's 38° and clear. Our lamb goulash-style meal that Bill made was really good. There is enough left for me to make soup for Sunday. I'm lunching with fellow retired teacher today. Going to a Chinese restaurant in town. Thinking of having just an eggroll appetizer since I will be making vegetable corn chowder for supper. It's election day in NH so the senior center is closed. Enjoy your morning! Waving! PS: Tasty - We will be moving to Londonderry, New Hampshire. It's about a 20 minute drive up Route 93 to exit 4. Soon exit 4 will be exit 4a & 4b. Exit 4b will be more direct when it is finished.

Good morning friends.
I am getting ready to go to Tech Center today. I will be Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering again today. Tomorrow is Industrial Trades and Thursday is Culinary arts and back to Industrial Trades on Friday. Next week all week I am Industrial Trades and the week after that I am one day Information Technology and then for 4 days I am Criminal Justice. So 3 weeks of subbing. I will be ready for a rest! LOL
Ann- I took the last of the boiled dinner (was just cabbage, carrots and potatoes in the broth left) and made a stew out of it for our dinner tonight. Have fun with your retired teachers today. The wind howled around here too last night.

Good morning. It is 25°here this morning but to be a beautiful sunny day. It will be in the high 40's. Hopefully it will take care of some of this snow. Never got back here last evening. After the board meeting I came home had dinner and that was it. On the road for the next 3 days with long days. I think 7 1/2 hours today plus 127 miles. One job is a quick one so it won't take as long as allowed but the other is a store I really hate and it is a 4 3/4 hour job. Its not the store itself I hate but I have been working on it for over six months a little at a time to get the glasses straightened out and now have a reset so should be interesting. I know I have a box of over 200 new glasses waiting for me. That is a lot to open and just sort say nothing of getting them placed. Each pair is packaged in a little sealed plastic bag. Both tomorrow and Thursday are about 7 hour days each but the mileage isn't so bad. I will be ready for a 4 day weekend for sure.
Ann, enjoy your lunch with your teacher friend.
Chris, you are going to be one busy lady. That is a lot that you aren't used to. Is it both class sessions each day?
Have a great day.
Bet

Good morning one and all! Today is National Baked Scallops Day. Both DH and I have doctor appointments at 9AM this morning. Other than that, not sure there is anything special going on the rest of the day. Going to make Skillet Roasted Red Pepper Chicken, mashed potatoes, and some kind of vegetable for our dinner this evening. Waving and wishing each of you a beautiful day! Lori

Good morning
Last night I made a short list of what I want to pick up at the $tree, and as soon as they open I'll head out. I'll also stop at the UPS on my way, no sense in making two trips out. One trip until more of the birds leave is more than enough for me. With that and the road construction I don't feel safe to go anywhere just yet. I can see the traffic backed up on the bridge that I have to cross, yikes. And y'all know how well I like bridges to begin with. Having to stop on one is beyond my realm of peace. :-S
Nothing much planned today unless I decide to make three Easter cards. If I make them I better get them in the mail ASAP. Mail service is so poor, the cards may not get there until the 4th of July.
Lori, pass the scallops please. Mmmmm
Pizza rolls for lunch with a small lettuce salad, supper may be Sloppy joes, if I find the desire to cook. hehehe

Good morning. We are waiting for Millie to come. It's my nieces dog. We will have her for 3 days. This morning I walked Coco as usual. Then I went and got CiCi ( the border collie) andctook her to dog park and threw the ball for 1/2 hour. Will do it again at 4. I will be doing this all week as herbowner is sick. So I will work everyday with 3 different dogs, lol.
I have a social club meeting this afternoon. I am not looking forward to it as we will be discussing bylaws and b7dget.

I'm back safe and sound from my doctor appointment. All is well. DSIL came last nite as promised and decided I needed a new battery. He installed that as easy as putting a meatloaf in the oven. Rode just fine this morning. On my to do list, call AAA before I need them for something else. I'm having Burritos with all the fixin's for supper. Hope to spend the rest of the day with a little nap and then just enjoying the day. Sweet dreams.

Helen, I am glad to hear that your car got fixed and it sounds like you've had a lovely day.
Mamma, hoping that you got "there and back again" without any major stressors. There is a big intersection just down from the bank where I work, with road construction on the other side of it. So we see the cars backing up all day. Fortunately, I come from the opposite direction so it's an easy right turn for me to get out in the afternoon -- except for today, when a pickup truck pulling a trailer took up the whole exit waiting to turn left!
Chris, my goodness, you are staying busy. It sounds like you enjoy this a whole lot more than the previous job, though, and that helps a lot -- but I am sure you will be very ready for a break after these 3 weeks. You and Food Dude are both in demand at school and that means you both do a good job.
Ann, I'm sure you had a good time with your friend. It's nice to be able to get together and reminisce. I need to do that with my coworkers from my previous branch.
Bet, I'm sure you are still hard at work right now. I hope everything goes smoothly and you can get done and get home.
Elaine, you must be the dog whisperer! I'm not surprised that you are in such demand around there.
Lori, I would happily celebrate with Baked Scallops but not going to happen today. DH wants to go out tonight so after his nap we will find something good to eat.
I stopped at Food Lion after work and stocked up on some canned goods and meats. Pork tenderloins were on sale for $1.99/lb so I bought 3 and have them marinating right now. They'll go in the freezer tomorrow.

My trip to the $tree was a win and some things not on my list jumped into my basket. But all is needed. Ever since Lume' came out with all body deodorant, aluminum free deodorant has sky rocketed in price. But I found some in the $tree for only $1.25. That is a savings of $2 to $4, depending on the brand. I would say that is a win win. Down here all body is pretty much a necessity in mid summer. My UPS return was quick, in and out in a heartbeat.
Elza the traffic moved smoothly to the store and back. A prayer before leaving took the stress away. :)
Mandy and I went for a short ride after her "duty" and we took some garbage to the dumpster too. After that I made taco meat for supper, thanks to the $tree for having taco shells. The dishes are done and I'm watching Port Protection repeats. The new season starts tonight. :)
Tomorrow after I get my nails cut and polished I will make a couple cards. My nails are too long right now to work with small pieces of anything. I hope it won't be too late to get them delivered by Easter.

Hello, Sounds like a nice day for all. Hope things went well for Bet today.
Mamma, I was at Dollar Tree also today. Ruth and I went to lunch and she needed to stop. I looked but did not buy anything. When I decorate for the season over at the shop, that is where i buy things, but we really need the space on the table where the tree sits, so after Sunday out it goes. I will be putting a rack there. We need room for shorts and swimwear.
Supper will be easy-just reheating a little bit of the Mexican Haystacks. Then I will see what I can do to help with making 4 pies for tomorrow. Not sure how much I can get done ahead of time.
The church workers reminded me that Marge's memorial service is next Tuesday, so I am going to be taking my food there Monday. Wednesday the girl dog goes to the groomer-she sure looks shaggy.
DH got a jury summons. I opted opt last time I got one. If you were 72 or older you could do that. DH decided he wanted to opt out also but they have raised the age to 75! He turned 74 in January.
Waving to all. Sleep well!

Both DH and I got good reports from our doctor.
Here's the latest on our "in transit" envelope that has been traveling in Georgia... While we were there and our phones turned to vibrate, a lady called on DH's phone from the Gainesville, Ga. post office. She began by saying how sorry she was for the delay in delivering our envelope, that they are aware of a problem (didn't say what), and that our envelope was now in Palmetto, Ga. She also left a phone number to call back if we wanted; naturally, DH wanted to talk to a human. Well, that was just a joke/tease because he called 10 times throughout the day and after two rings, the phone disconnected. Turns out Palmetto was further southwest from Gainesville by 81 miles compared to just 17 miles from Fairburn, Ga. where the envelope first went. All day in between working here in the house, we tried to find out more about our "in transit" envelope. What pops up on Google this afternoon, but WSB-TV, Action 2 News from Atlanta stating of many complaints about mail in Metro Atlanta neither never arriving or arriving many months late. We decided to stream this channel to see if we can find out any more info. The head of the post office union said there are all kind of problems with this new distribution center in Palmetto that opened on 2/24 while other older distribution centers were being remodeled throughout the state. I could go on and on with what more he said, but I am sure I've already bent your ears. Just 10 minutes ago, we got a text that our envelope is now in Atlanta. Not sure if the envelope has decided to take another scenic tour in Ga. or will finally go back to Gainesville to be delivered. Word of warning: pack extra patience if mailing anything to Georgia right now, as the news said this is far from over.
My DB and DSIL arrive tomorrow, probably by noon. I'll try hard to stop in before they arrive, but afterwards until they leave on Thursday, I'll probably be missing.
Waving to all! Lori

Just realized that I haven't posted today and won't be here early tomorrow either so thought I would just pop in and say 'hi'. Everything is fine and we're golfing early in the morning. Have a lovely visit with your brother and SIL Lori.
Night, night 🌙.
