Good Monday morning! It's windy and 31° this morning. Forecasters are saying it's should be snowing lightly out there, but I don't see anything. After today, it's going to be like early spring until the end of the week. I'll take it! Pepper steaks were good last night except I should have picked a sturdier roll. Even with toasting lightly with melting cheese on each side, they fell apart. I cooked the thin slices of beef that I pounded on top of the peppers & onions...yum! Tonight Bill is making a ground lamb and rice dish. I'll steam some broccoli as a side. Will be opening walkaerobics today and will 'do' Curtis after that. Otherwise, it's another clean out day. Yesterday, I went through my jars of grains, pasta, beans, etc. and packaged them flat for boxing making it easier to transport. I'm going to store the packs in a plastic box that will fit in on a shelf. Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning Ann and all who follow. It's a cool start to the day here at 41F. It will warm up to the low 60s so I shouldn't complain - the heat has come on this morning in the condo - we have itself at 67. At home it is just below freezing but it will be a bright sunny day and get to about where we are now. Heard from a friend at home yesterday and the snowdrops and crocus are already blooming and daffodils won't be long! The show at the theatre was hilarious - a totally light hearted day. Well worth going! This afternoon we'll be back on the gold course. Not too much longer until your move Ann. How far from where you live now? Hope your hubby has good results from his test this morning Lori! Good to see you posting more often Birdy - a very good idea to mark your possessions 😀 . Have a lovely day.

Good morning. It was 20°here this morning and to go to the high 30's with a bit of sun. Looks like we got another inch of slight snow over night and it is still floating around in the air and will be until about noon time. The wind was real bad last night and about 1 I woke up to a peep. It was the router going out. It was just a flicker in the power but enough to shut the TV off and reset the router. I didn't get back to sleep until about 5 for some reason. I was going to work today a couple of short jobs today but the first one I take the Interstate and the way the wind is it would be rough driving and possible snow squalls that would make visibility bad so I will work out in the shop on my plants and finish up what needs to be done. I also need to fill all the water buckets out their. When I do I will put fertilizer in it so when I water it will be already.
Just went out and filled the feeders and that wind is nasty when it come up. Also did my type of shoveling. Once I take the snow measurement each morning I have to clear an area for the next days measurement and all I needed was the push broom and it was done.
Just watching the birds coming into the feeders this morning. Need an air traffic controller for the blue jays to set a flight pattern for them. No finch of any kind yet this morning. They have been eating me out of house and home. I miss my Evening Grosbeaks this year. They usually make a 2-3 day appearance every year. Cardinal was only here for a couple of day. Of cousre the chickadees are always here as well as the titmouse and wood peckers. I need to make more suet for them today. It will be the last for the season.
Ann, nice idea to put all the dried beans etc. so they will lay flat. I have a number of plastic boxes that sit on my shelves to store things in and they just pull out when I want them. Neat and easy to find things.
Tasty, sounds like a great show yesterday. Glad you enjoyed it. Play well at your gold game today. It is amazing how many times some of us type gold rather than golf. LOL
Have a great day.

Good morning.
Sunny, 55º and no wind. Yesterday we got up to 84º, today 80. Can't complain about that weather. But boy I will complain Wednesday when the the temp drops and wind will be nasty.
A load of laundry riding in the washer and today I also need to let Annie loose on all the floors. She has her work cut out for her today. And I will need to scrub this time too. Mandy and I have been messy. Today I also have to call for a hair cut, nail salon, and to get the heat pump checked so it will be ready for summer heat. It wasn't checked last year, I had other things on my mind and forgot.
Ann, you are busy busy with all the sorting and packing. Exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time. I like your idea of store your grains etc. Don't over do and take some breaks.
Bet, safe travels for you in this lousy weather. I too don't like driving in the wild wind. But then my little SmartCar isn't all that heavy so it's a lot of work to stay on the right side of the road. I do hope that your day goes very well.
Tasty, when will you be heading back home? I played golf once but I was reprimanded for kicking the stubborn ball into the hole.

Good morning, friends! Today is National Oatmeal-Nut Waffles Day, National Eat Your Noodles Day, and National Chicken Parm Day.
Going to take an easy today. DH began his 2nd round of prepping at 1AM, so we've been up since then. Neither of us can see straight right about now. Procedure had us there for 8:30 to prep and was to begin at 9:30, but somebody canceled, moved DH up, and we were walking out of the place by 9:20. Came home, he rested and watched a little TV while I called DD and several others to let them know all went well.
We have had to file a claim with the post office. Last Monday we mailed our income tax papers up to our accountant in Ga. and she still has not received it when it was supposed to be there on Wednesday. Punching in the tracking number, it informs us that it is in transit, but nothing has been updated since the 6th. Our accountant said she has had several other clients this year with somewhat of a similar problem, so we are crossing our fingers that it's not a total loss. Have been sending our taxes to her 30 years and have never had a problem with the post office, until now.
Dinner this evening will be the Meatball and Spaghetti Stoup I made on Saturday. Need to go get my bike ride in before I fall asleep here. waving to all. Lori

Lori, you are not the only one with mail issues. It has been happening all over for quite some time. So very sad. I pray that your package will reach the accountant soon. Prayers continue for your DH too. {{{HUGS}}} I'll pass on the food holidays today. :)

Sometime when you are bored and are looking for something to do, click on this link. It shows you not only where the swarms of migrating birds are in real time, but it also gives you a count. Pretty cool. birdcast.info/migration-tools/live-migration-maps/Birdy

Wow Birdy- That is cool. I love watching my Jays coming in for the peanuts! When I go out to add some I tell them they are from you!
I was supposed to work today but the 2 students decided not to come in today so I am now back home. Was for Industrial Trades.

The floors are cleaned and scrubbed. Annie needs a good talking to, she didn't do a very good job today. But better than nothing I guess. Mandy is enjoying her porch time, I've helped Lincoln with a recipe for gnocchi soup and his shopping for it all. Now I'm going to see what I can find for lunch or make a run to the $tree for taco shells and the UPS and then lunch. Not sure in what order, but my tummy is saying "feed me". Easy stuff for the rest of the day. I'm retired, I can do what I want when I want.

Amen to that, Mamma! My car won't start so had to ask DSIL to help tonite after work. Hate to ask but I forgot to renew AAA so am at a loss. I need a car for dr. appointment tomorrow. It's always something, says Gilda. Packing up to move brings back feelings of dread, Ann. I thought it would never end. You seem to have a good method to get it all done. Happy golfing, Tasty! Between the snow and your plants, Bet, you've got a satisfying afternoon all planned out. The P.O. losing your taxes in the mail is a scary predicament, Lori. A couple years ago I mailed mine to the accountant's' old address. Amazingly, the P.O. were very helpful in that situation. It was a few days before I could take a deep breath, though. Birdy, that migration map is very cool. My supper for tonite is shaping up to be a grilled cheese. Just hungry for it. Maybe a small relish tray with radishes, green onions, and cauliflower. Hope it's a good sleep, friends, with sweet dreams.

Good afternoon. I started a reply I think about an hour and a half ago. I have spent the entire day between the computer, the work table beside the computer and the Bat Cave where my printers are between getting paperwork ready for work this week and Lions. Work is all ready. I have printed 50 brochures so far and the next ten are printing now. Some needed research before I could print them Have sent out I don't know how may emails and I just though of another on I need to get out. I have a meeting at 4 PM so have everything ready for that except me. I do think I need to at least get dressed before I go. Th sun is out and the wind is just howling. There are more trees coming done and power outages around the area again today. It looks like a war zone in some areas. Good old March.
Need to get moving.

Hi ! I got to sleep in and an gld because it has been nonstop ever since. I'm taking a break before I start dinner.
I'm sure DH is happy to have that ordeal over with Lori. Hope you both could get a nap today. I have never heard of those waffles! Just had chicken parm on Saturday but plan on making creamy chicken noodle casserole for supper.
Glad you enjoyed the show Tasty.
Sorry about your sorry weather Bet. Sure hope you don't lose power. So good to have a generator on standby. It is 72 and sunny here.
Helen, hope you car repair is an easy fix. I drove mine to buy groceries for the first time. It worked out well. I put the 3rd rows of seats down so had plenty of room and should have all the room I need to deliver food to church tomorrow. I am making Mexican Haystacks, Tex Mex salad and spice cookies. The cookies are just store bought cookie dough, mixed with cinnamon and nutmeg then baked. I wanted something really easy.
Wow, a surprise day off Chris!
Waving to everyone not mentioned. I did my grocery shopping first off, then picked up fish sandwiches from McDonald's at DH's request. Then headed over to the activity center to load up what was left from the estate sale. Luckily right after I got there, DH, Clint and Gordon arrived. It was done in no time at all. Then we headed over to the storage container, and the 2 housekeeping girls came over to help unload, so that went fast too. So, why am I so tired, lol? Came home and started laundry.
Have an awesome day!
P.S. Care made $3,000.00 yesterday between the soup fest and the silent auction.

It's been a lovely day today. DH was back to work so now the countdown is on for the end of the semester!
Our new HVAC will be installed on Thursday-Friday of this week. I will be glad to have that done and feel ready for the hot weather.
Our dinner tonight will be one of the chicken pot pies I made last week. I'm looking forward to that. It has lots of vegetables so will just need some kind of fruit on the side.
Ann, what a smart way to pack.
Bet, hope you get where you need to go and remember to get dressed first! 😊
Chris, a bonus day is always nice when you thought you would be busy.
Tasty, what fun to have a really good time out with lots of laughs. Good for the soul!
Mamma, I've never played golf (except for putt-putt) but I've always thought it would be fun to try. Things will be getting busy around here soon with the Masters coming up next month.
Lori, very glad for a good report after DH's procedure. Fingers crossed that you can get the mail dilemma straightened out and get those taxes done.
Birdy, I agree with Chris, that is a cool map! I didn't realize migration patterns were so concentrated in the middle of the US, at least right now.
Helen, what a blessing to have DD & DSIL there to help. I'm glad they can make sure you get where you need to be.
ETA hello to Tammy. Did the estate sale stuff turn out to be worthwhile?

My FIL was a mailman for all of his adult life. I think he would be ashamed at the problems the USPS is having. Things are very bad in parts of Houston. Whoever is director should lose his/her job in my opinion. It's becoming a very sorry joke.
