Tasty, your glorious weather must be over the whole state of SC because we had that day here in the Upstate too. We spent the day in Abbeville at my sister's -- DH metal detecting in the woods behind their house where there used to be an old sorghum mill, DBIL working on the new shed he just had delivered, and my sister & I visiting, having coffee, going through her table linens -- all after a nice walk in the woods with their dog Melody. Just a pleasure to be outside on such a lovely day. I even had coffee and breakfast on our back porch this morning.
We finished up with dinner at a new-to-me place in Abbeville called Two Brews, where we all had burgers. DBIL & I both had the Bronco burger and it was a hit with both of us. Mesquite-seasoned burger topped with BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, bacon, and fried onion rings. A perfect flavor combination.
Ann, DH & I watched the first episode of the new Somebody Feed Phil season last night too. I enjoyed seeing him navigate those busy streets in Mumbai, but I have no desire to be anywhere that crowded, and it almost made DH feel claustrophobic just to watch it!
Chris, that is a lot of work but sounds like you are having fun too.
Lori, hope the blinds got cleaned!
Jan, I find the cast iron pans too heavy for regular use. I have one that I got for a wedding present and I love it for baking cornbread.
Mamma, I know you enjoyed that good fresh corn. It's not something I crave, but I enjoy it when I can get it.
Elaine, we sure enjoyed our lasagna last night and have enough for another meal.
Helen, you are so brave. I trimmed my own bangs once -- only once -- never again. It was bad.
Bet, I have used liquid chicken and beef stock concentrate -- Chef's Accomplice. Much easier than powdered or cubes since it doesn't have to dissolve.
Tammy, sounds like you've had a busy day. Nice that you could get the new flooring in and you like it.
Well, I'm going to hit the sofa and enjoy the rest of this evening ~
