Good morning! It's much warmer today at 32°, and it's going to get warmer this week...a taste of Spring!! Soup hit the spot last nights. Tonight we are having the leftover mashed potatoes with roasted peppers and onions, sausages, and broccoli salad. Watched Netflix's "Tarzan" movie for some afternoon entertainment! Vacuumed and mopped and took a nap! Will go to walkaerobics and Curtis this morning. No other plans! Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning gang. Another nice day for a golf game so we will take advantage of that this afternoon. Even at home the temperature will be above freezing all day, up into the 40s this afternoon. Laundry is about done then I'll have a little bit of ironing to do. After breakfast yesterday we went off to one of the outlet malls and did a little bit of shopping - hubby found the runners he wanted and I got a couple of pairs of pants. By the time we came back home neither of us was too hungry (nothing to do with the ice cream we had while we were out) so it was salad for us last night. Hope your work day goes well Bet. Have a marvelous Monday 🙂 .

Good morning everyone.
Out and back home and no one else was at the pet area again. It's kind of nice that way too, but I do enjoy talking to Mary.
A load of towels to wash some time today. And if I can get up the nerve, I'll go to WM this morning to walk around and get out of the house.
I took out a chunk of a roast for supper tonight. I'll put in some potato and carrots too. Wow, I actually have a planned meal.

Good morning. I just got back from my walk. I saw where we have 3 big utility trucks in the park. I wonder if we will lose water or electricity.
I am going towards the foothills to another park as the Sons of Norway is having a vendor/ craft show. I want some kefse, sweet souped, and romequet. I'll take kolaches too, lol. Bruce is going to shuffleboard, I hope to be back in time .
For supper we are having a grilled New York Strip steak and I will use up the left over Augustin potatoes that dh made and some kind of other veggies.
When we lived at the lake, I mentioned the town of Hawley where we shopped and did laundry. Well, their elevator is on fire and it caught some businesses also, now heading towards houses. The elevator is on main Street in the center of town so not good.

Good morning everyone. Ann, I finally figured out how to get to messages on here. Thanks for the instructions for reading posts while posting myself. No right clicks etc as I use an iPad. However, I’ll use your instructions when I’m on the computer. I use Bet’s instructions and they work for me on my iPad. Lots of editing though. Bet, another day of work. I hope you get a break soon. You’re going to wear yourself out. Tasty, after a few days of above freezing temperatures, we’re back to freezing or below. Snowed last night, more predicted for this afternoon. Right now it looks like it might be a nice, but cold day. Enjoy your golf. You’re getting quite a bit of golfing in. Any troubles with the hip? DD#1 had both hips done last summer. She got a clean bill of health from her doctor. Can do anything she wants. Mamma, got all my laundry caught up yesterday. Get out there and walk around WM. If you go early, will it be less crowded? We usually go shopping in the morning, not so busy. Weebill, sounds like you have some Norwegian in you. I hope you find what you’re looking for. Pulled the last pork tenderloin from the freezer. Will have that for supper tonight, one of my favourite meals. A TOH recipe, very quick to make. Will have to see what else will fill my day. Have nothing planned. Bbl. Jan

Good Morning ! It is overcast here but a warm 71. Not much going on here because there was so much of the red beans and rice leftover that we left it for the folks to serve the mission on Tuesday. So, I do not have to shop today or make a dessert even. I did some housecleaning while I had the energy. I don't plan on going out. Also did 1 load of laundry. I have already thawed chicken for supper, not sure how I will cook it yet. Lori, how was your Southern living chicken recipe? Love their recipes. Was everything going ok for Fred?
Elza, glad you had a nice weekend.
Elaine, Hawley sounds like my hometown with the grain elevator on main street. DH worked there during one summer when he was a teen.
Mamma. speaking of roast, that is a favorite meal. I am planning on cooking one when Bob and Sheran arrive-that will be March 1. Not sure when we will be having the dinner. I'll have to check with their schedule. I bought a nice chuck roast while at the meat market Thursday buying our brisket patties to grill at the cook out Friday. It was actually cheaper there than at the grocery store. It was $8.19 a pound at the store and $7.?? at the meat market.
I have been having fun searching on newspapers dot com. Hoping to find an obituary for my birth father but nothing has shown up.
Have a super fun day!!

Afternoon! The sun is our and the temperature is 51°...Whoooohoo! I put in a new CD from Leslie Sansone this morning. Had us hopping to some good music. Curtis had a lot of yoga moves...didn't like it!! Sausages are cooked. Instead of broccoli salad, I steamed some cauliflower that needed to be used and mixed it with leftover green beans/tomatoes. Tammy - That's a nice warm in your area. I like red beans and rice. When I make it, I use adzuki beans and raw sliced scallions. It's been months since I found a roast beef...so expensive. Wednesday, Butter Chicken is on our menu. I'll use Aldi's butter chicken sauce. Good luck with your newspaper search. Elaine - I looked up the Norwegian food you want to get and could only find the Lefse. I'm guessing the the sweet souped is fruit soup and the other porridge???? Hope you get what you want!! Mamma - We have a WM superstore over the border in NH. I don't like going there...it's always so messy! Folks who get groceries delivered swear by the service offered, though. I like browsing in Whole Foods, but rarely buy anything because of the cost. I'm so lucky, Bill does all of the laundry. Tasty - What brand of Runners did DH get? Bill recently got a pair of Brooks for walking, and I got a pair of Asics for walkaerobics. We went to a golf store and they used a machine to measure and fit us then suggested several brands. Bet - Waving to you when you get home. Hope you can relax then! Time to get a move on...kitchen needs cleaning up. Waving!

Hi there, friends. I've stopped by to read several times earlier today but haven't been feeling up to writing. For several weeks now I've been thinking that the new potassium pills I got from Walgreens haven't been dissolving like they should. Today I confirmed that and spoke to my doctor twice and Walgreens. Both feel it is the coating (shell) on the pill, so I need to run over to Walgreens and the pharmacy has some w/o the coating that they feel should give me no problems (I have taken potassium for years and never had a problem). However, if they do, I am to dissolve these in water and drink. I tell you, never a dull moment with me. Then I have to pick up a lab prescription tomorrow and my Dr. wants me to go have my blood checked as he feels my potassium might be low after several weeks of this. Fun, fun, fun!
Tammy, the chicken recipe from Southern Living was just ok, nothing too get over excited about. While we ate dinner, DH and I tried to think of ways we could spruce it, so that is our plan when we make it again.
Will share about Fred later. The new mattress has just arrived. Leftovers for dinner. Lori

Sounds like several of us have had "that kind of day" -- me too. Over the weekend I had a couple episodes, both during the night, of floaters showing up in my vision, but not the usual kind. These were bright and sparkly -- sometimes metallic and sometimes bright colors -- and a lot of them all at once. Never had anything like that before in my life.
So, I called our eye dr's office as soon as they opened and left a number for callback. They called as soon as I got to work wanting me to come in at 9. So I turned right around and went back to see the dr. He checked my eyes, and said there was no problem in the eye, but what I'm experiencing is ocular migraines, without the headache. I had no idea that was a thing. I've had migraines before but never any visual symptoms, and with this it's only the visual symptoms but not the painful headache. I'll take that, though! I was concerned about a detached retina or something more serious, so I'm thankful it wasn't that.
Anyway, since I was late getting started at work, I stayed a little later to make up my time. Then I took a letter to the Post Office that needed be sent Priority Mail, and then stopped at Publix for some fried chicken and salads for our dinner. A nice surprise was getting to video chat with DS2 just before dinner.
After dinner, I've been doing laundry and now I'm just ready to crash. I think I'll go to bed and read for a while.

A good day. Ann, hubby bought New Balance runners. We have both used NB for many years for the gym and general 'casual' use. I must admit hubby discovered Ecco golf shoes a few years ago and really likes them. When he was looking in the Ecco store last year, I spent the time browsing their sandals and bought a couple of pairs. As it turned out last summer couldn't wear them because of my hip surgery so I have them for this coming summer. I just bought a pair of Clark's runners, similar to the Skechers step ins, which I find very comfortable (specially for $20). My hip is doing very well thanks Jan. Golf was out of the picture for me until late January ie 6 months after surgery. Sitting too long makes me quite stiff and bending to pick a ball up will leave me sore (after 18 holes) but that could be partly just lack of golfing most of last year. Not enough to stop me playing. How did your daughter manage with 2 hips being done?
