Good morning! Slept 'late' this morning! It's cloudy right now, but the day should clear out in order for the frigid temperatures to move in! The temperature is 36°, and that's the warmest it will be! Fish was great last night. I made a slaw with a chipotle vinaigrette. Tonight, Bill is making his pork tenderloin medallions with mustard sauce, crashed potatoes, and his mom's recipe for green beans with diced tomatoes and bacon. Sounds good to me!!! Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning friends.
Ann- I love me a good fish taco! Now I need to make them this week. There is a small cafe in Manchester VT that makes the best I have ever had. We like those smashed potatoes too. Or Crashed! LOL
Yesterdy was a good day getting DGD. Roads were clear but I forgot about trying to go through Ludlow at 4 pm. The Okemo ski area closes at 4 so all the traffic! Wow! took 20 minutes to go 1 mile! Luckily I know some back roads. So as soon as we got to a certain turn I scooted around the town.
DGS wants to go to the mall today so I may be off to there later. We will see.

Good morning to ya! Hope this finds you well, friends! Today is National Tortilla Chip Day and National Cupcake Day (in Canada).
Ann, as always, thank you for starting us off. Hope you and Bill enjoy the day.
Chris, did the stone pass? Guess you are feeling better since you mentioned going maybe to the Mall with DGS. The tulips you got Dan "just because" are beautiful---hope they made his day and has him looking forward to spring.
I might have missed you saying so, but Elaine, did you ever get the coupons for the eye drops? Our mail has been so slow, I get concerned sometimes when I send things out. I am finding going over to mail things from the post office lobby is doing a bit better. MIL sent DH a Valentine's Day card on the 9th and he just got it on the 22nd---it must have flown south by carrier pigeon!
Ended up shopping at both Trader Joe's and Publix yesterday. While at Publix, on a mark-down table, I found a bag of Hershey's Kisses Meltaway candies. Since I'd never seen those and the price was right, I had to pick those up. However, for some reason or another, I'm unable to access the Hershey website to get the Brownie Bite recipe for the cookie. Anyone able to help me by posting that? I'd appreciate your help---thanks.
We ended up having sloppy joe's last evening with root vegetable chips (I bought a bag to try at TJ's---yummy, so crispy). Have some leftovers from last night and the night before, so that could be dinner this evening. Will depend on what the afternoon brings my way. Getting ready now this morning, after I finish my coffee, to head over to the Amish Market when they open at 8 and Costco when they open at 9:30.
Have a wonderful day! Waving to all! Lori

Good morning. It is 14°here this morning and only to go to about 20° and then below zero tonight. It is overcast at the moment and there are a few snow flakes drifting around in the air. I am working today but am not moving that way very fast. I have cleaned up the kitchen and spent some time here catching up on reading. I still have at least 1/2 hour of prep work to do before I leave for work. Have 2 read glasses resets to do and can't decide which store I want to do today. I guess if I pass by the first on that means I am doing the second one.
Ann, dinner sounds good this evening. Nice the Bill helps with the cooking. DH did also.
Chris, looks like we both had the same idea at the same time with the recipe. We posted a minute apart. I would have beat you but was looking for a picture to go with the recipe. I can't imagine the traffic around Okemo yesterday. Have fun with DGS at the mall today. Apparently you are feeling better.
Lori, hope shopping went well this morning. Good that you are able to get your bike rides in and they seem to be helping your legs.
Tasty, nice trip yesterday. Too bad it had to rain. The sun can be brutal driving into it. I get both in the morning and then again on the way home some days.
Time to get my prep work done for work and get out of here if I want to get home in time for dinner.
Have a great day.
Bet

Bet- You know what they say! Great Minds...... LOL I do feel better as the stone has stopped moving. The ED gave me a muscle relaxer but said it could be a day or a month before I pass it. Hate these things. This is only my second one. Brian gets them a lot. He has had a bunch over the years. The Guy doing the CAT said he has had 50 of them over his life time! Wow! No thanks. Have a good day at work and I hope it goes smoothly.
Lori- I, too am glad to hear the biking is doing you good. Keep it up. I can not wait for warmer weather here so I can get back to walking the dam. The Eagles have stayed all winter here. I heard they are nesting in the same nest as last year. I will going by (well near by) a TJ's on the way to the Mall so may just have to "whip" in! I love the "This Fig Walked Into A Bar"! Best fig bar ever. Dan likes the apple and strawberry ones. I am a fig eater! LOL

Good morning
Out and back home again. We were all alone this morning, that happens more times than not lately. There was the most beautiful sunrise over the mountains this morning and me with no camera. I never bring my phone along, but now I'm thinking that I should.
Another night of not staying asleep. But at least I was comfortable. I'm trying out the pillows that I have for now but may have to bite the bullet and get a different one. Or put more stuffing in one that I already have and see if that helps. I have four different pillows and really don't want anymore around here.
It's already 61º this morning. And it's headed for 80º again today. We topped out at 81º yesterday. At least it cools down at night yet.
Lori..... I'ld love some tortillas with salsa, and oh yeah,I could really go for a cupcake. I see someone beat me posting the recipe you were looking for. I might have to try them too.
Ann, lucky you to sleep in and have a hubby that cooks.
Chris, gotta love those shortcuts.
Bet, oh dear that is too cold for me. Stay warm and have a good day.
Just one more cup of coffee and then get the bed made. Have a super Saturday everyone.

Good morning everyone. Ann, we seem to have fish about once a week, salmon and cod mostly. Actually, salmon, as we seem to have an abundance of it in the freezer. Don’t get me started on pork tenderloin. That’s my favourite cut of pork. Your supper sounds great to me too. Chris, never had a fish taco. Several here have mentioned that they like them. Sounds like you’re going to be spending some time with the grandkids. Lucky you. Lori, your mail service sounds awfully like the Canadian mail. Terrible. Those Brownie Bites sound yummy. Do you think that I can use the ordinary hugs instead of the meltaways? I use them on my Gingerbread Kisses (Hugs) that Marlene posted a few years ago. Bet, lots of work for you at this time of year. Hope all goes smoothly. Thanks to you and Chris for posting the Brownie Bites recipe. Bedding in dryer now. When beds are made will try to figure out the rest of the day. Won’t be too hard, always lots to do around here. Using the leftover beef/onion sauce was a great idea. Yummy. Poured it over chicken thighs and baked in oven for 30 mins. Have leftovers, maybe tonight or tomorrow. Bbl. Jan Mamma, Hi. Yeah, I hear you on the pillows. I’ve had to change mine a few times. Jan

Good morning all. Just popping in quickly while I'm doing some other necessary stuff on the laptop. I like a down pillow and always have mamma. Don't be complaining about it being too hot while some are well in the minus digits. We've been for a walk, done some laundry and now I need to get some banking done. Golfing this afternoon. Supper is up in the air altho we do have some tortilla chips and salsa . . . Have a super Saturday.

Good morning all. Not a variety of things to post from this end except that the sun is now Shining. However, the air temperature is 15! Of course she doesn't bother me because I don't go outside these days. I do have a specialist appointment on Friday with an ear,, nose, throat specialist to see what we might do about this locked jaw of mine. Wish me luck since I am a very tired of eating pureed diet. I was almost giddy with excitement when I was offered an ice cream sandwich for dessert last night. Apparently it was considered this afternoon off to be on my list. It's the first time I have had anything to chew on in months.
We have herd of deer in the woods across the road. They sometimes poke out and give us a view. I'm hoping there will be some fawns this spring.
Is for kidney stones, I guess I am fortunate because all I have had been the equivalent of kidney sand. Hope yours has settled down, Chris.
The excitement for today is getting my income taxes started. Whoopee!
Have a good day everybody.
Birdy

Good morning. After my walk I went over and watered Lindas plants as she is on a 2 week cruise. I carry water with me so I don't have to turn hers on. The weeds were terrible in her yard so Bruce is over there spraying them now.
Jean and Lori- i havent gotten your coupons yet . Thank you for sending them. I did get from you Ann, thank you.
This afternoon Judy and I are going to the movie Ordinary Angels. Since it just came out it will probably be packed.
Last night the Weiner Roast was good, but only 25 of the 37 who signed up came.

Hi Elaine,
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that you haven’t received the coupon as yet. I mailed it on February 12th as I noted in my cell phone calendar. I use my cell calendar as a diary any more.
It has not come back to me. Maybe the post office is using oxen for their speedy service….
I hope the coupon doesn’t expire before you receive it. Actually, I think it did have a lengthy expiration time.
Regards,
Jean

Short but Sweet today --- Hi Birdy! I'm going to say that ice cream sandwich was super delicious. Try a fudge bar next! I am having a hot shredded chicken sandwich for supper. Pretzels and spinach dip with it. Hope it's been a great day. Hugs

Well I am home! Somewhat poorer than when I left but DGS has a keyboard, mouse and pad he needed. His had broken. I did get a new top from Cracker Barrel. I love their clothes. I got a set of salt and pepper shakers, little pigs, LOL. I did get to go to Bath and Body Works and got some more hand sanitizer.
I will be working most of next week. So Dan will be on his own.
