Good morning! It's warmer this morning with rain here but snow at higher elevations. Supper last night was as good as the picture looked. We have leftovers for another day. Tonight we are having fish tacos with cabbage slaw. Will do grocery shopping in a few hours. Besides afternoon FB chat with some Cookin' Seniors, I have no other plans. Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning friends.
Ann-Your supper did look good last night. We had breakfast for supper.
Not much happening here, I just had a kidney stone decided to make some issues for me. Wish it would hurry up and pass.
Going up to Castleton today to pick up DGD as she will be home for a week.

Good morning gang. As I sit here with my early morning cup of tea, the sky is clearing. We just had one heavy downpour, temperature is 55F and will head well into the 60s later, but the rain is expected off and on all day. At home it is currently 34 and with a mix of sun and clouds, will climb into the 40s before day's end. It is then supposed to plummet over night and be a cold weekend. Chris, hope that kidney stone passes quickly. Fish tacos sound good to me Ann, but hubby is not a fish eater (unless it's fish and chips). Last night we had bangers and mash and it was pretty good. Have a fun day!

Good morning. It is 31°this morning and that is where the temperature has sat all night. We got a few snow showers last evening but that was it. Looks like we got about an inch. Haven't been out to measure yet. Should see some sun shine later and the high of 48°. Tomorrow the temperature won't get out of the low 20's and plummet to around zero by Sunday morning.
Work went well yesterday. I finished up timely and was home by noon. Didn't do much except mess with the computers. I am still having problems with my email and lost so much. Trying to get an old backup to work on Annabelle's computer to see if I can regain all my email addresses. I started it last night and it is now rebuilding back to factory install again. I don't have time to spend on it right now. Today I have another store to do with the glasses reset and will stop on the way home for a quick job at another store. It isn't the work so much that tires me out. I spend almost as much time everyday driving as I do working. The past 3 days I have driven 180 miles and today, tomorrow and Sunday I will put in another 180 miles. It is just the nature of the area I live in. All of my work is time sensitive. Some of the jobs I have several weeks to complete them around the weekly work. However especially this time of year with never knowing what the weather is going to be like I try to complete them as soon as possible as never know when I might not be able to work for a couple days because of storms. I do need to get my taxes done prior to the first as I just found out our town has increased the income about by $10,000 so I should be able to apply for a tax break for my land taxes. Its about 10% credit that sure would help.
Chris, hope that stone moves on soon. I wondered what was wrong when you didn't post. Safe travels to get DGD today.
Ann, happy shopping. Hope you find some good buys. No shopping for me this week. Nothing I need on sale.
Tammy. you have a busy day today. Glad you have at least one person coming in to help at the shop today. Enjoy your pot luck tonight.
Lori, you inspired me for dinner last night. Had no idea what I was going to have. Ended up pulling turkey and dripping for gravy from the freezer along with some butternut squash. Made a small batch of breads sage dressing and leftover sweet potato roll. Had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Tonight depending what time I get home from work I am leaning toward a weight watchers tuna noodle casserole. I like it much better than the one our mother's used to make. So sorry to read about Fred. He needs to keep a positive attitude which I am sure is difficult at this point
Tasty, I was just about to go post a birthday greeting to Helen. It is amazing how close you weather at home and mine track. I would expect mine to be a day behind yours considering I am about 250 miles east and almost 100 miles north of Buffalo. I'm not sure just where you are located in comparison to Buffalo. Sorry you are getting rain today but at least it is a little warmer than home. Sorry you will be leaving a little early to attend your friend's memorial service.
Was out of here at 7:30 yesterday morning but will leave a little later to day to give the crews time to get the roads taken care of in case there was freezing rain along with the snow last night.
Have a great day.
Bet

Good morning -- it rained all night but the clouds are clearing this morning and we should have a nice warm-up today. Okay by me!
I've got some cleaning and packing to do this morning as we are going to DMIL's this weekend. DH will take me to work and then pick me up at 5 so we can get on the road. I'll take my laptop along so I can do her taxes while we're there. I also have a baby shower gift to take with us, for our nephew & his wife who are expecting their first baby in April.
Chris, sorry to hear you are dealing with a kidney stone. Hope it's out of there soon.
Bet, that is a lot of time on the road -- and a lot of wear and tear on your vehicle. I hope you get mileage!
Ann, I'm like Tasty -- I like fish tacos, but DH, not so much. He loves shrimp, though. Now I'm wanting fish & chips -- we might have to pay a visit to McGee's (local Scots-Irish pub) next week.

Good morning and hello to all! Today is National Banana Bread Day and if you happen to be a dog owner, it is also Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day.
This morning, I have already wiped down one section of my teakwood bookcase (two more sections to be done by Sunday). After neglecting it for the past year, it is looking so much better as the oil is soaking into the wood. I have also wiped down my glass table tops and lamps in the living room. Awhile back I mentioned how I had planned to go buy new lamp shades, but the business has moved, and I didn't know what to do. Ended up ordering two shades on Amazon. They look just as nice quality as those I purchased locally and arrived in great shape with lots of protective wrapping to avoid any damage. Will put those on yet today.
Soon I will take my bike ride. I can see where since I have been doing that daily, it has helped my legs some, so I see it as a "must do" no matter how busy my day is/isn't. This afternoon I'll drive over to pay the water bill and then drive by the new Publix they are building so I can see when they are opening---shouldn't be too long now. I'll continue on to the Publix I normally shop and get that out of the way as I do not need much. Will save Trader Joe's, Costco and Amish Market for tomorrow with the help of DH.
Currently it is a sunny, very breezy 68* outside; high of 75* today. The stronger winds are to hang around throughout the weekend and forecasters say we'll see some 80* days next week.
Not sure what dinner will be just yet, but I do have leftovers from yesterday as well as some other goodies I might pull from the freezer. Waving to all! Lori

Good morning. OMG, is this mattress comfortable. Just like the one I had but without the dip in the middle. Sadly I had one of those nights that I just couldn't stay asleep. We have all had them and know how frustrating it is. But I had no pain or discomfort caused by the mattress, so I'm a happy camper.
Not a whole lot planned for today. But Annie needs to be let loose in this room for sure. Then I can scrub the floor in here. I did the other rooms yesterday. Moving furniture prompts me to clean better. lol In another couple months when the a/c is running, I'll move the furniture for the summer. I need the vent in the living room to be as clear as possible to get as much cool air into the room as possible. By April we will be warming up quite a bit. :) I so over the cold and ready to complain about the heat. LOL I'll take the heat over the cold though.
Since I don't go to the so called bible study at church I do one at home. I've now started "The Bible in 52 weeks". (Actually I have two that I am working on at home.) Knowing me it will take a bit longer. I get sidetracked so easily. But I'll do my best.
Chicken nuggets and steamed broccoli for supper and a salad for lunch today. I just have to start making better meals for myself.

Good morning. Just got back from my walk. Now going to play shuffleboard. I also have UNO and pinochle today.
Chris- I see sequence behind those pretty flowers.
Mamma- glad this mattress is working.
Elza- have a good time this weekend.
Bet- lots of driving time for your jobs.
Ann- we both like fish tacos but I have never made them at home. We usually have tortillas in the house so I need to try them.
Tasty- enjoy your day between the rain. At least it's warmer there then back home.
Lori- I will be making banana bread. We don't have dog biscuits but we have other treats. I don't give out treats only Bruce. I'm glad the bike riding is working.. My knee cracks every time I peddle so I walk instead.

Good afternoon everyone. Ann, have fun shopping. Chris, sure hope that kidney stone passes quickly. Ouch! Those flowers are beautiful. Lucky man. Safe travels to pick up your DGD. Tasty, sounds like no golfing today. I’m sure you’ll find something else fun to do. Bet, glad all went well with work yesterday. Hope it continues today. My, that’s a lot of driving, wear and tear on your car. Emr, I’m sure you’re on your way by now. Safe travels. Have a great weekend with your MIL. Mamma, finally, a comfortable mattress. Nice of the store to take the other one back. Lori, we don’t have Publix here in Canada, I don’t think. Not in BC anyway. We went to Costco this morning, then on to pick up our meds. Now I have I loaf of bread on its second rise in the oven. Chicken thighs for supper tonight. Pulled some leftover sauce from freezer that originally had beef patties cooking in it. Sauce has an onion base. Will bake in oven. Sweet potatoes and something else for sides. Interesting combo. Will let you know how it turns out. Bbl. Jan

Hello All. High temps today in the 70s but up to mid 80s early next week. Amazing. Such pretty flowers for your fella, Chris! Hope your kidney stones resolve themselves quickly. I hear they can be extremely painful. Ouch!! Thanks for all the birthday wishes, friends. Grateful to be this old but amazed that time flew by so fast. I'm ordering in fish and chips for supper. My DSIL and I will celebrate both our birthdays together over the weekend so that'll be fun, too. Big hugs

We just got back 'home' a little while ago. Decided this morning to get out and go for a drive. Drove up to Wilmington but not enough time to spend time there today so we'll go back, possibly for an overnight trip. Driving back home late afternoon we were driving right into the sun - not fun! We did stop a couple of places and did some shopping and then stopped at Panera for a late lunch. Got back to 'our' area in time to stop and have a beer flight for $4 at the local grocery store. We have enough in the fridge that we'll have some sandwiches in a few minutes. We got caught in heavy rain a few times but mostly it wasn't bad. Night night 😴!

Hi. Just reading the last few posts. I won at UNO today but didn't win tonight at pinochle. The Weiner roast was fun. A couple made homemade ice cream, plus we had homemade cowboy cookies along with the hotdogs, chili, potato salad , and all kinds of chips.it was nice just sitting around the fire.
Tomorrow Judy and I are going to the movie Ordinary Angels . She wanted to go out to eat afterwards but Bruce is grilling ribs for us.
The weather was perfect today.
I might run out to the foothills to a church rummage sale but not sure since I will be going out there on Monday morning.
