Good Morning! It's clear and 19°. Had a good night's sleep. Meatloaf dinner was good last night. Tonight we are having the Garlic chicken. It's a recipe from my Senior Center cookbook that some of you have. Bill's doctor's appointment for today was cancelled. The doctor is sick and will be out the rest of the week. Not sure if he will reschedule...he is almost recovered from what made him make the appointment!!! Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning. It is 4° feels like 0° here the morning and the sun is just peaking over the mountain. To be a mostly sunny day with high of 34°. Dinner went over well last night. The chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole was a big hit. I cooked what was to be enough for 24 serving and with only 17 eating there were maybe 4 servings left. I was home about 9:15 and finally hit the bed about 10 by the time I got the car unloaded, food put away and the dishwasher going. Have 3 stores this morning. A new project that I have never done before so should be interesting. It is putting up a new display that is a new product to the store.
Ann, glad you got a good nights sleep. That's a switch, the Dr. is sick. Hopefully Bill won't have to reschedule the appointment.
Have a great day.

It's nice to see the sun shining already and know that the days are getting longer.
We had a great time with our supper club last night, and plenty of food. I did not realize until they arrived that one couple was bringing their kids -- 4 yr old boy and 2 yr old girl -- so I had to scramble a bit to squeeze them in at the table! They were very well behaved, though, and we all enjoyed them. For dessert we had homemade cinnamon rolls that the kids' mom had made and oh my goodness, they were delicious. She makes her own vanilla extract and the flavor from that in the glaze was amazing.
I have an 8:15 meeting at work today so will have to get on the road a little earlier, and then another meeting tonight, but overall looks like a pretty good day ahead. We have plenty of leftovers to take care of dinner so I won't need to do much cooking.
Ann, I'm glad Bill is doing better so maybe he can just skip the appointment.
Bet, not surprised that the food was a hit at your meeting. I do need to look up that Cordon Bleu casserole recipe and try it. I hope everything goes well with the new display.

Elza, here is the link to the recipe. The only thing different that I did was used boneless chicken breast and slow simmered them in water with chicken bouillon cubes added. I had about 6 pounds of chicken which made about 16 cups of shredded chicken to give you an idea how much chicken if you didn't have a rotisserie chicken to us. So maybe a pound and a quarter of raw chicken.

Good morning one and all! Today is National Muffin Day and National Cherry Pie Day.
Off to a slower start this morning due to our chilly weather. It was 47* when I got up, but has already jumped up to 51*, on the way to 68*. Hope to get out for a bike ride within the next hour or so when it warms up a bit more.
Not too much planned today other than picking up some ground beef on sale and making sure I get the laundry washed so I can than take it over to dry at the laundromat (once I gather up some quarters from the store). DH plans to stop after work and pick up the dryer part. Since we are going to be busy, I think I need to go check out what the freezer can give up in way of a ready-made meal today.
Waving to all and wishing you a lovely day! Lori

Good morning all. A nice bright start to our day - the sun is shining nicely and we'll get to the high 50s later. At home, it's also bright and sunny but starting in the mid 20s and headed only to the mid 30s. We do have muffins in the freezer Lori, but didn’t pull them out for breakfast this morning. And no pie either 😞 ! Good to see your meal went over well last night Bet. Have a good work day. If Bill is just about over his cough etc, he probably doesn't need another appointment Ann. Are you over it too now? Glad you were able to accommodate your extra guests last night. We were checking out some restaurant menus last night and one place that sounded good had chicken bog on their menu. If we get there, you know what I'll be trying 😮 . Wishing everyone terrific Tuesday .

Good morning friends.
I did not sleep well last night. Dan had a rough night so kept me awake until about 4 this morning. Slept fitfully after that. So a nap is in store for me sometime today. I forgot to give him a gummie and did so but it takes about an hour to work so by then I was wide awake. He slept good after taking his gummie. He screams in night terrors so when it wakes me I am adrenaline pumping for sure! LOL
Ann- We are about 20° here going into the low 30's. That "chili" I made using the left over black bean salsa turned out super good. Dan says to make it again. We had it on rice. I just added a small bottle of v8 I had and the ground pork. I used the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder and some dry mustard. Yum! Next time I will add just a bit more chili powder to it. Take it up a notch.
Tasty- Glad yo are having some good weather. Let me know the name of the restaurant and maybe when we are down in April I will go to it and try the bog too.
Bet- Cold out your way. We will be getting some real cold later this week then back into the 40's for us. Good luck with the new install. Hope it goes smoothly for you, forget Murphy's law! LOL
Lori- I hope you have gotten your bike ride in. I do hope DH gets the dryer fixed and it works well for you.
Elza- Glad the dinner went well. Nice that the kids were well behaved.
Well I need to do the vacuuming and finish laundry. I took all my curtains down to wash.

Good morning everyone Ann, it’s 33*F here, got a light dusting of snow overnight, more forecast. Supposed to warm up over the next few days, so we should see the little snow we have disappear. Sorry about the canceled appointment, but if he thinks he doesn’t need one anymore……hope his doctor is on the mend, we have a scarcity of them here. Garlic Chicken, hmmm, have to find me a recipe for that. Can’t have too many chicken recipes. Bet, glad your dinner last night was a success, you put a lot of work into it. See, you can’t go wrong with chicken. Hope all goes well with the new project. Thanks for the tip checking back on posts without losing my own post. emr, nice you had an enjoyable evening last night. Little ones at the dinner table and well behaved ones at that….i love being around little ones, we have none in our immediate family at the moment and I miss them. Homemade cinnamon rolls for dessert, yum. Lori, not much going on here today either. Few groceries, bananas, always bananas, plus other fresh veggies and fruit. I’m watching for ground beef to go on sale here too. And Easter’s coming, should be hams on sale, ham goes a long way in this house. Haven’t been to a laundromat in years. Sure hope your DH is able to fix the dryer. Tasty, fun trying new restaurants. I’ve never had chicken bog, several here seem to enjoy it. Gotta go. I’ll come back and finish this post in a few… Jan

Good morning
A load of laundry is taking a nice long ride in the washer. Today I have two loads since this load seemed too big for this washer. Warmer weather, more clothes worn. Three changes during the day now. Cool morning, warm afternoon and cool evenings make for lots of changes in a day.
Mandy is not happy this morning, she didn't get a treat. She gets no treat when all she does is stare into outer space. If she doesn't have to "go" that's fine, but she has to listen to me when I say come or let's go home. I have no tolerance for not listening. I am more stubborn than she will ever be. hehehe
Not much planned for today other than make an appointment to get my nails done. And of course the laundry. Just another boring day. But if I get the notion I may drive into town and make an appointment for an eye exam for new glasses. It would be nice if once in my life they could get the bifocal in the right spot for "me" and not where they think it should be placed. I always have to hold my glasses up to see through the bifocal.
Temp this morning was 52 when we went out at 7, heading to 77 again today. Good day again for a walk. Up a pound, so much for the walk doing any good for me. LOL It couldn't be my choice of snacks this week.
Lunch will be a chef salad, with romaine lettuce this time, and supper is still anyones guess.

Good morning, again… Chris, sorry about the sleepless night. Hope you can get a good nap in there sometime today. Bet you won’t forget the gummies again. The black bean concoction is something we would like. Helen, a lick and a promise is how I feel when I do some cleaning. Always looks clean on the surface but I don’t seem to do it a throughly as I once did. Getting old I guess. Had a cleaner at one time, but I felt she didn’t do it any better than me. Along came Covid, so bye bye. Won’t be too long before we’ll need help around here. Our health services do their best to keep older folks in their homes, so at some point we’ll have to look into that. Not much planned for today. Out for groceries. Homemade hamburger patty, mushrooms and roast beef gravy (Salisbury steak?), steamed potatoes and carrots for supper. Bbl. Jan

It's 76 degrees today! Wish I could say it's a shorts and flip flop day like I did in FL. Sigh 🌴 Chris, I'm sorry to hear Dan is suffering night terrors now. It's very hard on the patient and on the care giver, too. I truly wish I could help. Yes, Jan, I thoroughly love having a house cleaner. It was a gift I gave myself when we retired. Bet, I'm happy you're pleased with the Lion's dinner. They were lucky diners! Well, I'm washing sheets and blankets and will soon be ready for a nap. I've just about settled on Stouffer's lasagna for supper. Hugs to all, friends.
