Good morning! I'm finally up and about...just barely...another miserable night. C'est la vie with a cold for me. Impossible burgers were delicious last night. Tonight we are having semi-homemade pizza that I will take out of the freezer with a salad. Haircut feels good! I wore a mask, but managed only a small bout of coughing while hairdresser cut my hair. Our ZOOM meeting was good. More folks went to the lunch meeting at the Baldwin so there were only a dozen folks online. Once our medical appointments are finished, we will be scheduled for a walk-through. Then we have the financial stuff to complete. Looks like May will be move-in time for us. It snowed lightly overnight, but it's clear now. I can see that the walks and the street are clear. Wind is supposed to be howling by daylight so will have to bundle up. Will be back later to chat. Waving!

Good morning friends.
Ann- I am sorry you had a miserable night. I need to try the impossible burgers. I really liked the chili made from the crumbles. Sounds like things are moving right along for the Baldwin House move. Does Duchess do her move on Sunday? We got about an inch of snow during the night. Will be cold and windy today for us too. We had the last of the chicken noodle soup and the last of the chicken salad for supper when we got home yesterday.
I will be going n to work for a half day t 11:30am and home by 2. I have a lot of laundry to do this morning before I go in.

Good morning. It is 18°here this morning and overcast. We have 4 1/2" of new snow but it is about done. It is nice light fluffy stuff so will be easy to snowblow but with the wind we are to have it will be a bit nasty as it comes out of the chute it will blow back into my face. I will be completely covered with snow. Dinner was great last night. The meat was cooked to perfection.
Not sure what else I will get into today. I do need to empty and reload the dishwasher first off. I am not working today as the Glasses for the job didn't come into the store yet. I also plan to finish up the baking pan downsizing chart and get it into the Cookbook. Should water plants and maybe go to shop to work on plants. Didn't get there yesterday. If I get bored I can always put the new price tags it their holders and that done when ever the glasses show up.
Ann, sorry you are still not having a restful sleep with this cold. Glad you like you haircut. Do you have to have a health evaluation in order to move into the new place? I think with May coming so fast I would start to have knots in my stomach getting ready for the move.
Chris, glad you and Dan were able to get away for a few days. What are you teaching today or are you in the cafe?
Dinner tonight is mac and cheese with tomato in it, dinner rolls and I think I will make a cucumber, onion, pepper and tomato salad. I have Moose Track ice cream in the freezer. That is what I got as my birthday gift from the supermarket that I shop at.
Have a great day.
Bet

Hello and good morning, friends! Today is National Almond Day, National Tim Tam (Australian biscuits) Day, and International Syrah (red wine) Day.
Going shopping at Publix and Amish Farm Market this afternoon. AMF has a sale on fresh blueberries as well as some blueberry products, so will pick up a few things to take DD and Lilith when we spend the day with them tomorrow. Will also get blueberries for here and make blueberry pancakes for our dinner this evening.
Ann, sorry your nasty cough is still hanging on tight and once more you had a rough night of sleep. How exciting it must be as your Baldwin move-in date gets closer!
Chris, very happy that you and Dan were able to get away for a few days. Vacation time is fun, but not the laundry afterwards (in my case, when in Michigan). We are lucky at Disney as our vacation time rooms have a full-size laundry room, so I always take advantage of that. Enjoy you few hours at work today.
Bet, sounds like you've got plenty to do today to keep busy and out of trouble. Your dinner tonight sounds like comfort food to me-yum! Moose Tracks ice cream is a favorite in this house---I hope you enjoy it!
I better get moving and get going on my menu and grocery list. Waving to all; have a beautiful day! Lori

Good morning all. 50F this morning here in MB and headed to 60 or so again. Very pleasant. At home yesterday, it snowed. Someone sent a picture of it just so we wouldn't forget what we're missing. Today will be sunny there, very pretty on the fresh snow, but the high will only be 32. Hubby is off to the dentist this morning. Seems he's done this every day this week - but the plan this morning is to have a root canal done. Somebody was asking about whether insurance will cover this. Unfortunately because he lost the filling originally the night before we left home, it will be counted as a pre-existing condition and we will have to pay. Beats having toothache! Have a fabulous Friday 🌞.

Good morning
Back from the pet area. Mandy got to see Mary and her two kids so a lot of sniffing. LOL And Mary and I did some catching up too.
Bad sleep last night. I'm so use to being cradled in a dip and there was no dip last night. It took me forever to fall asleep and I tossed and turned most of the night. I hope I get use to the new mattress sooner than later. At least I didn't wake up hurting anywhere.
Heading to Fry's this morning for two of their sale items. Jill said she wants to come along, but that, as always, remains to be seen. Nothing else planned other than a short walk this afternoon with Mandy. High today of 76º, it's 45 right now.
Ann, very considerate of you to wear a mask so as not to spread cold germs. I hope you get to feeling much better soon.
Chris don't get lost in your laundry!
Bet, enjoy your time at home today even though you will be busy.
Lori, fresh picked fruit is the best. Oh how I miss the fresh strawberries in MN when in season. And the apples too.
No impossible burger here. Too many additives and sodium, plus I am a beef lover. LOL But if you like them, enjoy! Yes, I did try them once.
Chef salad for lunch today, not sure about supper. Maybe something at Fry's will jump at me. hehehe

Mamma- enjoy this weather, I know I am. I have been sitting outside reading.

Surprise, surprise, Jill came over to go shopping this morning. Now sure what happened at her AA meeting but boy was she in a snit. I was in such a good mood and tried to change the atmosphere, but everything for Jill was really bad. I just kept my mouth shut for fear of making it worse for her. Anyway, true to this time of year, I didn't get all the sale things I wanted. So I'll go back on Monday morning only earlier than today. Maybe I'll have more luck then. There were so many people in there I just wanted to get out of the store as quickly as I could. You all know I don't shop IN stores anymore, I just go in for the sale items at Fry's. I waited outside for Jill to finish.
Last week I goofed up and ordered Gala apples. They were too soft so I'm cooking them up for apple sauce. I had only purchased three, one I tried to eat, but just couldn't do it. Today I got Cosmic Crisp that were on sale for 97¢ a pound. That will be my snack this afternoon.
I just finished making a chef salad for lunch and will eat it as soon as the apples are done cooking.
Elaine, we have a bit of a north wind now. But I still hope to go for a nice walk this afternoon. I'm still in a sweatshirt (11:30). :) I hope all went well at the doctors.

Hubby has now had his root canal done. He will wait to have the crown done at home on the advice of today's dentist. The weather has been kind of blah - gray and dull, no warmth altho it wasn't cold when I walked this morning.

Good evening, friends. Publix wasn't busy at all today (DH said nobody can afford groceries any longer). It cost me $85 to get out of there this week and sadly I had hardly anything in my bags (no meat). It cost another $20 at the Amish Farm Market, $10 of which were items for DD and Lilith. I LOL when I hear them say on the news that groceries are going down, but I did see gas drop 4 cents a gallon from earlier in the week, so filled up.
Had two small loads to wash and dry this afternoon. No problem with the 1st load, but the 2nd load in the dryer was nothing but ice-cold air! Ugh!! DH checked it out and said it looks like the heater pack went. So glad we have free service for 7 years because it looks like we need help---already put in a service call, but I doubt we'll hear back on it until Monday.
Going to turn in early tonight, right after Lilith calls with her bedtime story for Grandma and Grandpa. We'll be up at 4AM, shower, grab a cup of coffee and start our drive over. Weather should be no problem going over, but we possibly could see rain on the way back in the late afternoon. All kind of events happening throughout the state this weekend and the 100% chance of rain both days could cancel many.
Waving to all and wishing you a pleasant evening. Lori

Good evening everyone. I thought I posted this morning, in fact I know i did. I remember hitting create post. I posted this morning on Midwest first. I lost a post there too but I was able to recover that one. I wonder if my post is on another thread. No time to repost. Today was uneventful. Puttered around this morning, this afternoon we went to Bulk Barn and I picked up a couple of things we needed. Came home and finally started a jigsaw puzzle. This one will take me awhile. Pasta from the freezer tonight, Taco Mac for DH, lasagna for me. Easy. Well, I hope everything went well for everyone today. I wish you all a Nighty- night ( most of you are 3 hours ahead of us). See you in the morning. Jan

I had problems getting on yesterday but seems fine today. I made a nice beef stew this morning with leftovers. I had it with garlic bread and plan the same for supper if I'm hungry. I got some lovely mandarins in my last grocery delivery. Have been snacking on those. I don't see any rain in the forecast but a cold 44 degrees for the high. I've skipped my nap but now could nod off at any minute. We'll see. Big hugs.
